An hour or so after he left, I ran the water in the vanity sink and there was a noticeable leak. He said he would come back a few days later to take a look. He returned and tightened the connections. I again ran the water after he left, and again there was dripping under the drain so I asked him back again. He came back again and did some more tightening and said it should be ok now. I again ran the water after he left and there was still a drip. I then texted him saying that I would like a refund of $350 of the $1100 he charged because the pipes were still leaking and he had already claimed twice that the problem was fixed when it wasn't. He refused and then tried to gaslight me saying actually there was no leaking. So if you want a plumber who doesn't stand by his work, then this is the guy for you (My response to his comments): For the record, here is the text exchange between Brad and Me (and yes I did say "please consider giving me a refund because I don't want to give you bad reviews"--and that is a reasonable response on my part given that I received service that is below what the average person would expect [i.e. 3 visits by the plumber and the sink trap is still dripping]. (From Craig): Brad, The vanity is still leaking and I can't devote any more time to this project, therefore I am requesting a partial refund of the money you charged me. I think a $350 refund would be reasonable. Craig (From Brad): I disagree, the last 2 times I came over there wasn't even a leak. I have gone beyond being reasonable and in reality I should be paid for 2 service calls. (From Craig): Many would ask for a larger if not full refund under these circumstances. I felt very well taken care of through the entire process and would like to shout out Danny who was here for over eight hours troubleshooting and solving the issues with my toilet and sink (services I had done include repairing a completely destroyed collar under my toilet, resealing the toilet, installing a new disposal, installing a new faucet and grit trap, and redoing the plumbing joints for both the toilet and the sink.) The price also includes a warranty in case something breaks again, which offers peace of mind, and the company was diligent with working things out with my building to get me scheduled. So at the end of the day, I do think I paid a premium price but I got the quality of service and peace of mind to match, rather than gambling on a cheaper service (again, I keep thinking about how it was an 8 plus hour job and Danny was working the entire time beyond quick breaks to move his vehicle/retrieve tools). He gave me a quote that was three times what I expected, and wouldn't tell me how many hours at what rate that was based on. "We don't have hourly rates, we quote per job. This had to be the strangest interaction with any service provider I've had. Didn't seem to know what he was doing and then provided a ridiculous quote with no explanation. Or they just try to take advantage of people who don't have any sense of what's involved and how long it should take.

I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. We suffered a Chinese water torture for 5 days until they could get to us. The plumber said the problem was with the tank and I should also get a new filter. They came back a couple days later with a tank and a filter for $843! Guess what? The InstiHot faucet was still dripping! The plumber said it would stop. It's Ravinia, so I assumed I could trust him. I was wrong. It continued dripping as much as before. So, we suffered more Chinese water torture until they could get back 3 days later to install a new faucet. Oh, so I DIDN'T need a tank and a filter, but you just made me pay for one! That's unethical, incompetent, or both. It gets better. Then they charged me $600+ for the new faucet BUT they took out the new water tank and replaced it with one they said "matched" the manufacturer of the faucet. Wow. They could have just put in any tank--maybe even one that cost them nothing. That's also unethical! So, I called and talked to some woman who said the manager was too busy to talk to me and she'd be responsible. She made some excuses and then tried to smooth things over with a small gift certificate. Really? My husband then called and tried to get a manager on the phone. It's a month later, and we are still waiting. Basically, I ended up paying about $1400 for a new InstiHot system. Just unbelievable, when all I apparently needed was the overpriced $600+ faucet. I will be contacting the BBB. Use these scammers at your own risk.
