I wanted North Shore Monuments to install a headstone that I bought online for my dog for $750. I Spoke with Lisa who wanted $900 to install the headstone at Bideawee pet cemetery in Wantagh. I had one of her competitors install it for $500. The installation took 20 minutes. North Shore Monuments is an extremely greedy company that you should avoid. Most of the local monument companies refuse to install privately purchased monuments because of the extremely high markups they charge. read more

Five years ago, we had engaged North Shore for help and advice for our project honoring 11 Army airmen killed in a heroic life-saving action in Bellerose NY in 1940. Their excellent support for the design and material for this memorial, and invaluable technical guidance was instrumental for the eventual successful completion of the monument this year. North Shore Monuments completed construction on schedule in early June 2023, and we dedicated the memorial monument as "The Bellerose War Memorial" on June 17th. When faced with arranging an engraving on a headstone things should be made easy. This is not the case with all engravers on Long Island. Some engravers are rude, unsympathetic and treat you as if you're a number without any compassion. This was not the case with Lisa and Maggie at North Shore Monuments. It was an absolute pleasure working with North Shore Monuments where the communication was incredible. North Shore Monuments has been in business for a long time and they still operate by putting the customer first while living by the golden rule. The entire process was straightforward and information about the progress was shared promptly. The final engraving turned out as promised and as importantly done on time. I should have gone to North Shore first. They were very professional & very nice on the phone. I spoke with Lisa & Alicia who managed my case from start to finish. As President of the Seaford Historical Society, I would like to commend North Shore Monuments. Our museum in Seaford had a large walkway installed with large and small engravable bricks.From start to finish , each step was handled professionally and expertly. The old cement walkway was removed and replaced by a larger brick pathway leading to the museum.Donors are pleased with the memorial bricks they purchased as a fundraiser for the Seaford Historical Society. 0 stars would be accurate- do NOT use for Eagle Scout Fundraiser- spare your child the additional disorganization and unprofessionalism. Not to mention OVERPRICED, which We figured out thanks to their negligence. -Started the project brick and plaque fundraiser with them in May. Order went in June 30 for bricks and July 8 for plaque on boulder. Constant emails and phone calls to Alicia for confirmation for 4 weeks and we were assured verbally and in emails, the work was being done with abs would be complete the first week in August. Have all the emails to prove it. In addition, all hours have to be logged for Eagle projects. Every moment spent writing an email and on the phone with this company has been logged for three months. Many incompetencies along the way. Told all would be done first week in August and secured the insurance needed for the project to be done in the timeframe promised. No bricks, no plaques...this company did not even start the order, which became evident 6 weeks later (the promised due date) when none of the work was done. The owner was abrasive and despite the email proof was not willing to concede to any errors despite the PROOF. My daughter has worked hard for months doing this project. For three months she's been working with this company. Three months of emails and phone calls and false promises made by this company. They took advantage of a 13 year-old child and ruined all of her hard work. I wish I could upload the emails here to show just how incompetent and negligent this company has prove to be. read more

Owner is biggest SOB on the planet - would NOT acknowledge spelling error on stone was THEIR error - had nerve, on several occasions, insisting incorrect spelling was requested by family member - even attempted the Italian accent - ridiculous show of ignorance, arrogance and disrespect ... and receptionist area/office is absolutely filthy.
