Super professional and organized. I felt at ease how carefully they handled our furniture. They came with wrapping, tape, and moving blankets. We had pretty much everything in boxes apart from furniture. They were super fast, polite, and showed us where everything was placed. They answered every question and were so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend to anyone moving and at any size. 2 tips: 1. Leave your clothes on the hanger and put garbage bags over your clothes and tie shut. They were able to transfer these from closet to closet effortlessly. 2. Choose heavy duty moving boxes: When you get boxes for your move, get the heavy duty thicker moving boxes like they sell at Home Depot. I went the cheap route and used the cheapest moving boxes I could find on amazon. They were a bit thinner. Everything was moved fine and without any damage, however the thicker boxes would ensure nothing gets smashed etc. The thick ones can be closed and sat on without the box breaking.

However, I called and I confirmed my move for 11 am the day before I moved, and they said everything was set. On moving day, thy messaged me saying they would be 1 hour late and that their truck broke down. At this point, I was like ok, that's ok. However, 12 pm rolled around and no one came. I called again, and this time they told me that they changed my moving time from 2-4 pm. I was pissed because no one told me but whatever. At 3:30 pm, no one came still and I called again and this time the woman let me call the moving dispatcher myself. I called him and he was extremely rude to me. I asked him how long it would take for him to get to me, and he told me that it would probably be 7 pm...maybe. I asked him why it was taking so long and he got really aggressive on the phone saying that there are at least 20 customers ahead of me and it doesn't matter when I scheduled the move. He started yelling at me and saying he didn't care and that he didn't know what to say to me anymore, he could probably be there at 9 pm. To me, since I am a woman living alone, I did not want to move at night, so I just said whatever and hung up. I then called about 5 moving companies and finally found one for next day moving. They were great and I paid double what Skokie offered me, but it was done right and they were respectful the whole time. You get what you pay for I guess. I will say this though, the customer service people you talk to on the phone are super nice and probably get yelled at too often because of shit like this. And I'm not talking about from the promotional rate to the regular rate. From the regular rate, they've raised it twice, for a total of more than $50/month -- $600+ a year! Not only that, but their efforts to be more technology driven make dealing with them a pain. There is no on-premises staff to talk to at any time. You have to stand in an empty lobby and talk to someone remotely over a video call if you need help. They require you to use an app to gain access to anywhere in the building. The lobby, opening the garage door, the restroom, the elevator, etc. But the apps are unreliable and inconsistent. And there's two of them. We were supposed to start using the new one but it doesn't work (the old one still does?). I wish I never moved my stuff in here. I wouldn't recommend this storage unit to anyone.
