Lalo and his team showed up on time, did a walkthrough of our condo with us to understand what items were to be moved, what to be extra careful with etc... The worked quickly and with care. Once we arrived at the new home they made quick work, putting furniture back together in the correct rooms, staging furniture how we wanted and always doing so without complaint and respectfully. They ended up moving quicker than expected and came in under the estimate that was provided which was an awesome surprise! 100% worth the cost of hiring movers and would recommend them to anyone!

The uhaul shipment ended up arriving on December 24 which was not ideal due to the holiday, but 2 guys and a van were able to accommodate. Everything was moved in within the time window provided in the estimate. They also wrapped up some of the antique items to prevent damage. Would book these guys again. Anyway, again, the move itself was great but the pricing discrepancy left too sour of a note for us to recommend when other moving companies don't do that!

I went with the Chicago Green Box after doing a quick search on Yelp and am happy with the experience. Scheduling the box delivery and pick up was seamless through their online form. I appreciated the routine confirmation reminders via email as the dates approached. The boxes themselves were sturdy and clean. I ended up not needing to zip tie any of the boxes during the move. My only small complaint was I had scheduled the boxes to be dropped off and picked up from 9-11AM, and both times the team was here before 9AM. The first time, I was admittedly still in bed half asleep when they called to let me know they were there, and the second, was on a work call. I had to ask the drop off/pick up team to wait a few minutes each time. I recommend calling the customer the day before to check in if pick up outside the set time window works for them, or at the least, sending a text the morning of to confirm they are available. I was very satisfied with the service they provided. I just want to warn everyone whatever you do don't pay ahead before the service is completed. I was very excited I bought a huge appliance from Walmart and I live on the higher floor so I called College Hunks to just bring it up to my floor. I thought their quote was really high they gave me a $190.00 charge. In the meantime my super nice friend delivered my appliance to me. I was super excited I could cancel this service. I cancelled this appointment thinking I would receive reimbursement the next day. Boy was I in for a surprise they said I didn't read the policy and I needed to give them three days notice. Haven't they heard the word emergency? Obviously not. Finally, I called the corporate office, and they allowed me to have a credit, but nowhere did I see that three-day policy. Even the customer service representative that was helping me with my payment didn't mention it. I'm now out of $190.00 with loads of bills to pay until the end of the month. They didn't want to give me my money back. I sure hope this money goes to charity the way they said it does. I will definitely be shopping around for a better junk removal place. Be careful of the fine print folks or you will be getting screwed like me. Just want to say the only reason why I paid ahead was my dad was going to have to meet them that day due to me having to go into work and I didn't want them to charge him and me having to pay him back.
