The barista this afternoon was SUPER SWEET. She made my drink exactly how I asked for it. BLESS HER HEART, she had a chatty Cathy of a customer before my order and politely carried the conversation into helping me. I'm a former barista & bartender, time is money in these establishments! I don't know if they tipped her, but I made sure to leave a $5 minimum for her time & patience! She made my drink quickly & with a great attitude about! The coffee shop is right next to an entrance/exit to a grocery store, despite the heavy foot traffic they are efficient in getting their drinks out on time. They're also well known to have a very welcoming crew here. I enjoy shopping and grabbing my drinks from North Slope

This place is right down the road from my besties new apartment! We've walked over twice now and the same girl has served us both times. She was so sweet and welcoming!! She had the best recommendations, I highly recommend giving this place a try! This time I got an iced banana bread breve latte with BANANA COLD FOAM.. I know right. And my bestie got an oat milk matcha version of the same thing! Last time I got an energy spritzer from their October specials list called the "Witches Brew" with sparkles in it, also very good!!

    cute little touch!

Great little coffee stand right outside of Thriftway! They have many, many options as well as 4 or 5 rotating holiday specials. The "fall mocha" was really good! Plenty of milk alternative options, which I always like (even though oat is definitely the best!), along with friendly and mostly speedy service. The only "downside" to this place is the location. Since it's right outside of the door to Thriftway it can be very difficult to keep distanced from everyone. Either way, it was a nice experience and I'd happily drink more of their coffee!

I've walked by this coffeehouse so many times on my way into Stadium Thriftway. I finally made a point to try the coffee....soooo savory!! Both ladies working were super friendly and very knowledgeable about this sustainable coffee and where it's grown! They even draw cute designs on the coffee lids...shows how much they care about their patrons! Don't forget to get your coffee rewards...they use the clover app to track your purchases.

I've met a couple girls in the morning that are really friendly and make great coffee, specially Paige! She's always killin it with my drink and i love being greeted and talked to in the morning. But that's not the case for a lot of the ladies when I'm there. Sometimes they don't even acknowledge me while I stand there wait for them to finish talking. I wasn't going to write a bad review... but then I got this last night I just asked for a white chocolate and my first sip was chunks of unstirred hard white chocolate sugar crusted to the bottom of my drink. I mentioned it to some people who where working there the next day, but no one seemed to really care. They said that they knew the barista who made it is bad at making coffee then seemed to brush it off with no apology or even attempt to make this situation right. No one seemed to genuinely care about the quality of the coffee so I figured I would post this here to let people know of my experience

Every lid gets a pic! This is from St.PatricksDay! They write important dates on lids too--likeFathersDay--which I almost forgot.

I know they've been hiding out on 6th avenue for quite a long time, but parking is a struggle most days and if you're in a hurry, this may not be the best place to stop. It's more of a local watering hole where the neighborhood folks congregate for their morning coffee and pastries but if you get the time and don't mind the parking situation, this cafe is worth the trip! Small batches of delicious roasted coffees paired with some scrumptious bakery items to enjoy while you relax in their large but cozy space. The staff is super friendly, and you can sit and people watch or make yourself a temporary workspace. They are perfect for the whole group or just the two of you. When we walked in, I felt like I had been teleported to Ballard or Greenwood up in Seattle. At least that's the vibe that I felt when we were there. It doesn't quite fit the Tacoma aesthetic but that's just one more thing that sets them apart from other Tacoma coffee shops. If you're in Tacoma, skip the big corporate coffer monger and go try something that you've never tried before. Bluebeard is a good place to start! Thanks for reading. Cheers!

The employees here are really nice, and the coffee beans are some of the most vibrant and packed with flavor (my preference) due to the experimental techniques used and their careful sourcing.
