They sell Starbucks in there, it's really pretty in there and the staff is nice. It's fun to browse the gift shop and flowers while sipping your coffee or sit outside at the table by the little stream if the weather is nice. The only problem is their hours are horrible. When they first opened they were open until 7PM, but now they're only open until 2. That's awful! Some of us would enjoy a nice hot or iced coffee past 2 PM, but we're SOL. read more

I called them at 4:40pm and asked how late they were open. I was told they close at 5pm. I drove up there and arrived at 4:54pm and the doors were locked and the drive-thu shade was pulled down. I then called them and quested their actions. They didn't care what so ever. Nice work North Star. Nice work. read more

This place has terrible service. They wiped the counters and drinks off with their t-shirts' before serving to customers. I wanted two breakfast burritos, they were out of those, frittatas, and bagels. Next, I wanted a vanilla cold brew. guess what? OUT OF COLD BREW. I waited thirty minutes for a frappuccino and iced coffee and they were both messed up. I would never go to this starbucks again because the woman they have working the counter was terrible. This experience makes me want to never have starbucks ever again. I will be taking my business to dunkin'. read more

Great little addition to the Indian River area! Serving Starbucks coffee/espresso + their own gyros (veg option available), salads, and pastries. A big draw is the drive-through ~ a convenient stop on my way in to the office. They do not accept Starbucks cards/rewards, but they do have their own rewards system/app. (Very easy to use and set up.) Friendly and fast service, too! read more

I really hate when we order something off the menu outside and they do not have it ! Also if you are only selling the brand of Starbucks coffee you are not a Starbucks ! Wonderful addition to the town of Indian River. I come out to visit my grandparents once or twice a year and I work for an actual Starbucks myself so finding out that they "Proudly Serve Starbucks" is a blessing. Not much business but probably because I went during winter, this place will be busy during the summer I know that. The workers there were extremely polite and also repeated the order to me so I'd know I was getting exactly what I ordered. This place also serves food, which is fantastic. I'm glad this place decided to pop up in a small town. I need to feed my Starbucks addiction when I'm on vacation. They have a different espresso machine than Starbucks but it still gets the job done. Typically when I would stay with my grandparents I would have to drive all the way to Petoskey to one in a grocery store that in my opinion, sucks. I would give them an F- if it were possible. North Star cafe deserves an A+ from me. Fantastic food, well trained baristas, and North Star customer connection. I will definitely be returning here when I do my annual visits to Northern Michigan. A++ for having peach syrup! They discontinued it at actual Starbucks locations so having a peach green tea lemonade brought back some great memories. If they had mango, my gosh it would be fantastic. Stopped here for lunch based on the awesome reviews. We didn't realize everything was pre-made, which would have been fine, but it was really pricey for what it was and not really what we were looking for. We didn't realize this was the case until after we had already paid because of the way things were advertised on their hand written board. Ended up spending $8 each for pre-made wraps and a 3/4 filled drinking cup listed as a 'bowl' with the tortilla chips that came on the side placed inside the top of the cup. They were also out of the dressing that was supposed to come with one of the wraps, which again, is fine. The worst part was their water, which is actually surprisingly terrible. I'm sure the coffee is great, but we were really expecting fresh, real food from a café, not second day wraps with water logged cheese and a tiny cold-cup-bowl. All in all not a very good experience. This place is sweet! I'm young, so I'm all about cool coffee shops and neat little gifts. This place has both. First the coffee side. They 'proudly serve Starbucks' so you can basically get anything you would want normally. Except blonde espresso but oh well ya know. We came for the coffee which was really good both times (got a white choc mocha frap both times, very well made) and we also got the gyro lunch special, it was only $5 for a gyro and chips. The ingredients were fresh, they had a few options with a garden veg one the choice I went with. I really liked it. The girls behind the counter were really nice as well and even served us. Onto the gift shop side. There were so many great gift options! A full fairy garden, which I had never seen before, organic soaps and face/lip/skin products, a bunch of other stuff to look at. This place is really great, and worth stopping at for a gift or coffee or a quick lunch. Will return read more
