Very interesting little establishment, located just off route 100 going north from Wilmington on the right. Multiple activities and food available. Nice place for groups and family. The mini golf was fun, not extravagant like the ones on the board walk but very well crafted and intricate parts. While some holes didn't have there mechanical pieces working it was fun to imagine what the may have done in there glory day. Not badly priced either and the owner was really nice and laid back on the rules. The arcade was small and had lots of mechanical arm like prize machines. Many games didn't have working pieces and the lights were dim or not working at all. Definitely needing attention in that area, specifically simple maintenance. They had a good variety but again so few were broken or hard to play because of up keep. The bowling alley looked like fun but never played. Not very big so plan accordingly. Typical bowling alley, bowling shoes and ball. Oh yeah remember your socks lol. The food was tasty but not as expected. The staff works very hard to prepare but it maybe the menus is a bit big for what they're capable of preparing efficiently. If it were me I would stick to the basics pizza, wings, anything fried. Smaller menu and cheaper overhead. So closing on the food, pizza was good and wings were good, the fries and onion rings were awesome! The Mexican food was interesting, definitely A for effort. All in all a great place to let the kids have fun and maybe the adults can have a beer or cocktail. Tried to get a delivery but it's a horrible option.. was turned off by the $25 minimum and $10 additional fee.. tried to get us both way! We was only 5 mins away. Anyhow maybe it was more of an encouragement of getting consumers in the door.. while going to pick up a pie, we seen a bowling alley, shop arcade and more! So I'm guessing this a local popping spot for kids.. pie was fair, a bit on the burnt side. But it came out super fast, which gave a frozen boxed pie thoughts.. no images tho sorry. As we have come to find out there isn't a lot of restaurants to choose from in VT on a Sunday evening. We pulled in not even realizing it's a bowling alley that serves 4 different types of cuisine in one place ..first red flag! We got the fajita bowl with no jalapeños which when served was a ground beef taco salad with jalapeños. We also got the grilled chicken pineapple sandwich with chips. It met my 2 star expectation. The man waiting on us was friendly enough to us but was in a hot fight with a female in the kitchen and it wasn't quiet. The place seemed to do a descent amount of takeout. Having lived and/or worked on the East Side of Manhattan for 30 years, and having traveled all over the US and Italy, I had low expectations for North Star. Boy was I wrong! We ordered a 14" pizza with eggplant and tomatoes, and were surprised to receive an almost airy crust, thick cheese over a tasty sauce base, and small slices of fried eggplant and perfectly sliced tomato. Truly delicious, and despite the phone ringing and the many onsite patrons, the owners were pleasant and unflappable. He'll happily enlighten you on the fact that Candle Pin bowling the the original bowling unlike it's 10 pin brethren. This place earns my 5 stars for its authenticity, warmth, and unpretentious attitude. A great joint for a beer, bowling, old school pin ball and arcade games. Great for families or group. Good pizza. We had a delicious pizza while visiting Wilmington. Their thin crust has a different texture and is a little thicker than what I am used to at home but that did not take away from the overall great pizza. Ours was white with sausage and eggplant.
