1st time here , I was pleasantly surprised . Driving by , don't blink your eyes or you will miss it , definitely a hidden gem . I got the French Dip with French fried . It was SO good , a large sandwich , the bread was nice and toasted with cheese on both buns . A nice pile of meat, a nice au-jus , and the Hand cut fries were nice and crispy . Stopped by yesterday. Service was terrible. After 20 plus minute wait, bitchy waitress brings a glass of water and says: we're slammed today, I'll get back to you". After a fashion another waitress arrives to inform us they are out of almost everything, and nothing on specials menu is available either! Says I, really-it is Columbus Day weekend and you're this unprepared? She gives me the shrugging shoulder response. My wife had fish & chips. Fish waaay overdone, no coleslaw either. I had Waldorf salad-not too bad. Looked hard for the blue cheese. Finally found a dime sized piece. Added chicken was so dry, I almost thought it came from a freeze dry can-almost! Don't believe we'll return there. Between poorly cooked food & terrible service this place is definitely not worth the stop. read more

Cute little place! We stopped here on a whim and were so happy we did. We sat outside with our toddler. She was crazy but our waitress was so nice and polite. I got the poutine and my husband got a good sandwich. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the good day. read more

Have given up going there any more. They never have appropriate servers. Yesterday because the dishwasher became ill, they quit serving food. Have they never heard of paper plates and plastic? Turned away serveral people. I sat at the bar and it took the bartender 20 minutes to remove dishes from previous customers. Really? This place is a very pleasant experience, from the atmosphere, to the staff, and the food. I have now been here a half dozen times, including a New Years dinner that was just O.K. for us both. Really, it is usually better. Most recently, We have loved the pizza. My gf is a NYC transplant, and I have been across the nation a lot. Great flavored, and textured thin crust, good cheese as well. The newly opened Readsboro Inn is fantastic! Impeccable service, fresh delicious food and great prices. What more could I really want?! We LOVED the catfish special but the pizzas and sweet potato fries were awesome too. And desserts ? The chocolate mousse and strawberries with balsamic glaze were worth every single calorie! The Readsboro Inn has been in the area for many years. When I am close by, I always plan a trip there to have a meal, This week I tried the pork chops. They were delicious. Perfectly seasoned and tender. The mashed potatoes were good as well. There was carrot cake on the menu for dessert which I couldn't pass up and I would recommend that as well. I always appreciate a place that offers more than the usual bar fare. This is it. Next time, I will try the mussels. read more

We had dinner here on Saturday September 4th at about 5:30 pm it was awful. It started with the half glass of wine my friend was served, it was her third choice and went downhill from there. I had a prime rib and she had salmon, both meals were ice cold. I had a prime rib that I ordered medium. The rib looked like it had been boiled it was a smarmy grey color with not a speck of juice I tried to eat it as I'm not usually a complainer but it could not be cut with the steak knife I was able to eat 4 or 5 bites before I gave up. The broccoli that came with both meals was a sickly green color that was more like mush than anything else. The potatoes that we both received might have been ok if they were hot but instead they were more like a homemade paste. My friends Salmon that was requested crispy was a slimy ice cold mess that wasn't closed to cooked. What a great disappointment our meals were as we had heard good things. My garden salad was nice and fresh and the Italian dressing was tasty but was a very strange consistency and color it looked like chocolate pudding. Our waitress did a good enough job but didn't make eye contact after she served our meals, I suspect she was embarrassed about the slop she served us. The bud light I had was nice and cold and was the only thing about the meal that was truly enjoyable. We will not be back and I would suggest anyone reading this should steer clear of the Readsboro Inn. read more

This place is unexpectedly wonderful. I've only eaten in the dining room on the right, rather than the bar so I can't say what that's like. I say unexpected as it looks like a non-descript biker bar from the outside. The right entrance opens to a pleasant dining room with linens and local art displayed throughout. Definitely recommend when tootling through on Rt. 100 - one of the most beautiful stretches of road on the east coast. The food was very tasty. Had the fish and chips with a very fresh salad and bbq chicken on another occassion. The mashed potatoes with the chicken were okay, maybe a little on the dry side, but the caprese salad made up for any shortcomings. Beer selection is very good. Service was very friendly. read more

We waited 1 hour and 36 minutes for food. Oh i'm sorry we have 2 big parties. No excuse! then bring out something to appease the diner! We are local folks who normally enjoy dinning her. As we were leaving they offered to box our food "to go" too little too late. I live 5 miles away and will never go there again. There are ways to keep people happy while waiting. Was driving through readsboro on a Sunday while Geocaching. We did not find many places to stop for breakfast and came across the Inn. We should have kept driving. They offered a free cup of coffee with your breakfast. Sounds nice but the cups are very small and only filled half way. When I asked for more coffee ( they never offered) I had to ask the waitress to please fill it this time. My sister and I ordered the same meal and when the food came out they only cooked 1. The waitress actually asked us to share until they could cook another. They forgot to put the cheese on my husbands eggs and when we mentioned it the waitress she was very apologetic and then reached in to grab my husbands plate as he was taking a bite. When she brought the meal back she dropped the toast. The music was a boom box on the bar. It was fall and it would have been nice if they had the fire going in the gas stove. It was pricey for breakfast and I would not recommend this restaurant. read more
