My car was unexpectedly stuck in a store parking lot about five miles away, and we just happened to come across the owner of Texas Auto One. Even though he wasn't actively on duty at the time, he didn't hesitate to help us out. He immediately sent one of his mechanics with us, who came prepared with a battery charger. The mechanic got my car started and drove it back to their shop. They diagnosed the issue, replaced the battery, and only charged me for the cost of the battery--no extra fees, no labor charges, nothing hidden. The owner was amazing--down-to-earth, welcoming, and genuinely cared about helping us. I've dealt with a lot of auto shops in the past, but the honesty, generosity, and kindness we experienced here was unmatched. If you're in need of car help in the area, Texas Auto One is absolutely where you should go. I'll definitely be back (hopefully not out of necessity next time)!

We drop off the vehicle and leave and within 30min we were called back for them to tell us it was the starter and that it would cost them $800 to fix. Knowing it's not an $800 job we brought it home and i removed the starter. Brought the starter up to an Autozone to have it bench tested and the starter is perfectly fine across all tests. Annoying I had to remove it to find that out but it is what it is. Just thought I would give a friendly warning to all of those who think about using them. She was able to get it back to where she was staying that week. I drove out the following day and was able to identify that the radiator had cracked. it was about 10:30am on Friday. I called around to several shops and most were willing to do the work, but couldn't get it done until Saturday or maybe even Monday. This was not ideal. All that changed when I called Don Perry's Garage. I was talking to Donny and he said he could probably get it done that day. I told him I was just passing through and he said he'd definitely get it done that day. He said "cmon down and we'll get you fixed up. I'll pick us up some lunch and you can hangout here till it's done." This is 100% true! So I headed on down and spent the afternoon with Donny and Kelly. We ate lunch together and chatted for a few hours. Hanging out there I got a real behind the scenes look at how they run their business. How they communicated with their customers on the phone or in person was all top shelf. The transparency they shared with their customers is like nothing I've seen in this business. If they made a mistake, they owned up to it. If they could get a better price on a part, they would and then would pass the savings on to the customer. I've got to also give a shoutout to their senior tech James. He's been there over 30 years and knows his stuff! There's a reason they have been in business as long as they have! The reality is, I probably will never need their service again. Our paths may never cross again.
