We went to Century Trucks recently to test drive a vehicle and we had a great experience with the car salesman. The guy brought us over to the lot where the truck we were interested was and let us look it over and then let us go on a test drive. It unfortunately was not ready to be taken off the lot, but was also not the right truck for us. It had some bumps and scratches but for a used diesel truck it was nice. First, I will tell you that I was interested in purchasing a commercial cargo van. I was interested in Century Trucks & Vans because of their large selection. I sent my husband there to check things out. He called ahead and then made it there during the week right around closing time. After my husband explained to the representative what we were looking for, the representative told him that they had nothing that would fit our needs. My husband was puzzled and he asked to see a vehicle we saw online.... The representative told him that unless he had 40% down, to come back later.... So much for competitive "no hassle" pricing like their website infers. Perhaps, you will have better luck if you come in with the appearance of bulging pockets. I hope it was a fluke. read more

I went in to buy a work truck they had for sale. The salesman Jose trevino , told me they just got the truck in and it needed to be fixed up. I wrote a list of things I'd like fixed and paid 250$ deposit and said I'd be back on Saturday. Side note: I mentioned two damaged parts of the truck after he took the deal to his boss. So that became a big ordeal. He wouldn't fix a dent and was asking me for an additional 250$ to fix it. I said no, wasn't interested in going for anymore than it already was and he told me would fix it. He gets irate and says " that's not the deal man , you didn't tell me until after I took it to my boss" If I changed something about the deal than you SHOULDVE TAKEN IT BACK TO YOUR BOSS INSTEAD OF GOING FORWARD. Jose got upset and I wanted to talk to another salesman. So I contacted rich, who then said I needed to talk to Jose and if I wanted a manager I'd have to ask Jose. I start researching a little more to see reviews of trucks barely making it out of the yard and broke down. He tells me to look at google reviews. GOOGLE REVIEWS CAN BE BOUGHT. Trust Yelp. They did end up fixing the tailgate. I backed out. I'd rather lose 250$ than be stuck with a lemon. I wouldnt recommend, if it's a really good deal. There is a reason for it. My brother in law just bought a 2015 F350, he was delighted with his sales guy Jose who he spoke of highly. However, and the reason why I feel it is important to comment about this sales is because my brother-in-law commented about the rude and almost racial behavior from Valencia. Apparently my brother-in-law was wasting her time. She told Jose in front of him that she was wasting her time and said that my brother-in-law did not have any money and walked away. At the end is the day my brother-in-law walked out with a new truck and none of these behavior was necessary from Valencia. We are all one and should recognize that. Especially in customer service. I purchased a flight from Washington to purchase a truck that was promised to be sound. I placed a deposit and had completed all of the paper work except for signing. When I got to the dealership, I was told they need to fix an injector. I had to purchase a hotel and wait, then the following day the rep. Mike D. told me that the engine was blown. He then teased saying we were lucky he did not change the injector and send us on our way. I viewed several other trucks on the lot and ALL of the trucks had the check engine lights on. When I went to the shop to see another truck, the mechanics were burning tread into balding tires. This place was extremely inappropriate and unhelpful! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE HONEST! The manager was unhelpful and did not care to discuss what had happened. This facility is not honest and will do anything to take your money. Would have given "0" stars, but not an option. All the negotiations and discussions were done over the phone and he was extremely accommodating to our needs. Specifically we needed a van that would keep hormone-free grass-fed meat and poultry at a freezing temperature for a long period of time. I purchased a 2006 Scion Xb from Century trucks and vans, I tried to get the vehicle safety inspection as required by the state of Louisiana. The vehicle failed the safety inspection. I cannot register the vehicle. I tried to return the vehicle they refused. I tried to get a trade in on the vehicle and was told that the vehicle was totaled, Century told me before purchase that the vehicle was never in a crash. I have been making monthly payments and cannot drive the vehicle. I have tried several times calling the dealership and Mr. Mike who sold me the vehicle has been told about all the issues with the vehicle and he does not answer nor provide solution to the issues. I filed a complaint with the BBB and am going to get a lawyer. The doors wont open from the outside or the inside, I will die if it catches fire! Stay away from this DISHONEST business! read more

Sold me a 2500hd work truck this month. The first day we noticed the bushings going bad and brought it back for repairs they kept it for 2 weeks and said it was replaced, well guess what they didn't even repair anything the same annoying noise is back at it again and my mechanic said it was never replaced nor repaired all they did was lubricate those parts!.And now under a month of purchase my engine is ticking more than the first day I bought it thinking maybe bc it's been siting for a while but now the engine is ticking horribly. My mechanic said the engine is bad and need to rebuilt the engine that it seems like a flood vehicle! That's what they sell here, the cars look good but are junk! Now I have to replace the engine on a brand new truck and stuck with 30k in debt! And when doing the test drive I asked if there was anything wrong I need to know of from this truck he said nothing is wrong that everything works great! read more

I first approached this place with one truck in mind. Alex was my sales rep and seemed eager to assist. Every step of the way through the buying process was promising and seemed like i made the correct decision. I was very wrong. Within 70 miles of driving off the lot my check engine light came on. I was on my way towards Temple, Tx and was over half way home (after closing hours) when the light came on. I thought maybe the DEF was low so I filled it but still no fix. I called Alex the following day and he recommended I take it to Chevy. After Chevy conducted a full engine diagnostic they deducted that the entire DEF system needed to be replaced, the Turbo needed to be replaced and a page full of other things that were wrong. Century did go out of their way to resolve the issue but insisted they fix it in their facilities rather than having Chevy fix it. By the time I got the truck back I was already on orders (in the military) in another state and had to have someone pick it up for me. Not even 3 months later the truck would lose all power to the truck including both engine and electrical power, the check engine light would come on, the cruise control would stop working, and it would instantly reset itself. (After further troubleshooting) I realized that I had also burned through 30 gallons of fuel in less than 200 miles which is extremely unlikely since not even my 2004 1500 silverado gets better MPG. The issue happened intermittently and it was hard to troubleshoot without any stored or historical codes due to the light not remaining on. After calling Alex about it, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I was on my own. Had I not been deployed for over 6 months I would have noticed the issue earlier and would have made them fix it. Overall the entire situation since purchase has been extremely shady and makes me think that they are only in it for money rather than overall service. After looking at other reviews for this company there have been quite a number of other customers who have experienced very similar issues with the vehicles having extensive issues shortly after being driven off the lot. I am now stuck with this vehicle that also has a number of minor issues but am willing to look past since they aren't performance inhibiting. I strongly recommend anyone who is looking to buy any type of vehicle to steer clear of this shady establishment. I would give negative stars to the entire company on this review if I could. read more

We're giving them one star because zero is not an option. We have been customers of Century Trucks for ten years. The first truck was a 2004 Ford 350 and it broke down a month after we purchased it. We returned the truck for diagnostics, luckily it was under Ford Manufacturer Warranty still but get this! Century Trucks charges me $400 for a diagnostics despite the fact that I had just purchased from them a month ago! They wouldn't even tow it until I drove over to give them payment because they wouldn't even take credit card over the phone! (What a hassle when your trying to run a business.) The fifth truck we purchased from them was recent, a 2012 C3500, they promised it was a perfect truck, withholding the fact that it had been wrecked! A month later when the whole fuel system failed I called Century for some help in good faith they couldn't do anything for me, not even discounted repairs. I've spent $15K dealing with repairs on this truck, it's been a nightmare. I will never buy another truck from them again, 2 lemons out of 5 is 2 too many! No thanks Century Trucks. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

This business has the worst collection department (Cheryl and Bella) I have ever dealt with they are rude and do not care to listen to the customer. We paid off a truck and then they charged us $99 and they said it was because of interest but we had paid every penny. They would not remove that balance. When you ask to speak to a Manager they refuse to transfer you or give you their name and phone number they just tell you to write a letter. read more
