Yesterday, the office manager approached and asked me to either delete or update my review. 1. As you can read from my previous review, my disappointment was only around their operations side. (i.e. Overbooked appointment slots, Unfriendly staff members, etc) In other words, I have no complaints regarding the medical/clinical service I have received from Dr. S. Dr. S is very knowledgable, patient, friendly and personable. Therefore, I am giving them one more star. 2. I am all about updating my Yelp reviews when I see/feel the efforts to improve to areas I pointed out on my previous reviews. When the office manager reached out to me yesterday, her request was to either delete or update the review if I was happy with the result of the Invisalign service I have received. I personally think it is more about the process and experience that they need to focus on instead of patients' results. Her excuse of the long wait time was mainly Dr. S's slowness. As an office manager, I feel that it is her and her team's responsibility to understand the doctors' pace and schedule/plan accordingly. Instead of taking ownership of the issues and looking for solutions, she apologized for the doctor's slowness, which I though was very inappropriate and unprofessional. --------- I feel like they book 5-10 patients every 15 mins under one dentist (at least for invisaligns). If you have just hours to kill and have absolutely nothing going on in your life, this is the place for you. Otherwise... AVOID! D read more

I would HIGHLY recommend NTOA especially to those with complex Ortho issues. Before I signed up my daughter to the plan in this office, I did my research with other Ortho office here in Collin County. I have chosen Dr Jerome S Schechter's treatment plan for getting my daughter's complicated Ortho situation fixed. Other orthodontist are aggressive pulling out teeth which is not necessary. At the beginning, Dr Schechter is not promising us that there would be enough space that will be enough for another tooth to come out. But we did the expander with the risk that we may need to extract some tooth. After six months in expander, there is enough space for the tooth to come out and no need for extraction. My daughter and I was so happy about the risk that we took. And Dr Schechter made it possible. We are almost done with my daughter's treatment plan and will surely miss this group. This is a great place to get your orthodontic work. 1. Billing. It is first on your mind. You know it is. The billing staff is super friendly. They explain everything in detail. They give you lots of options to pay. They work with you. They are so nice about it. 2. The office staff. The office staff are so, so nice. They are so pleasant when you call to make an appointment. They are nice when you show up. They are always friendly. 3. The doctors. The dentists are so friendly. They talk about options. 4. They play music. There is no news or weird music in the lobby. So while you are waiting you don't have to be forced to participate in all that. You can just chill and read a book and drink some coffee. My older daughter got her braces somewhere else before we moved here. All I can say is I wish we would have moved sooner. This is a great office. read more

I brought my 7 year old son here because he has a horrible underbite. The orthodontist and staff were very welcoming and great. They put my son to ease and were very accommodating for children. After the initial consultation they did not constantly follow-up to try and get me to come in. I made another appointment and they got him in and out and he now has both his top and bottom retainers. They have appointments that don't interfere with him in school. All around I am very pleased with every aspect of North Texas Orthodontic Association, I would highly recommend. read more

We have been patients of Dr. Copenhaver for 13 years. He is exceptional in his attention to detail and he takes the time to explain every aspect of treatment. The staff is first rate. My son was very apprehensive and they made every effort to put him at ease. My daughters especially enjoy their visits when Beverly, Patricia and Elizabeth are taking care of them. The office staff is always helpful when we are scheduling or when we need to change appointments. They never give the impression that they do not have time to take care of your needs. read more

Two of my sons went through two phases of treatment with Dr. Lugo. He and his staff are the epitome of professionalism. He goes to great lengths to explain all options and procedures as well as solutions to problems. He is never in a hurry and we never feel rushed. When it is your turn, he focuses only on you for as long as it takes. He has come in on the weekend himself to cut a poking wire. He is incredibly friendly, generous, sympathetic and warm. Staff is always friendly. We like the flexible schedule. Dr. Lugo is THE BEST! I have taken my son there since 2004, and we go to him for our yearly check up. Dr. Lugo is very personable, and patient. He takes time to answer our questions and explains everything he does, to make my son more comfortable. Dr. Lugo has the greatest sense of humor combined with professionalism and expertise. Excellent service, very friendly staff. Dr. Schecter is great with my 11 year-old son. They have an "ortho-bucks" program where the kids earn ortho-bucks by wearing their neck gear, bringing their gear to the appointment, etc. and they can save these up for gift cards to Gamestop and other kid-friendly retail stores. It encourages the kids to take responsibility for their treatment. We're about a year into my son's braces and have only had good experiences with each appointment. Highly recommend! read more

Amazing service! The waiting room is very comfortable, and the staff was friendly. My wait time was minimal, as the front desk merely had to look over my paperwork before sending me back for a consult. Once in the consultation room, I met with Dr. Lugo. Dr Schechter is great!. I used him for my braces, my granddaughter's, and my grandson's. The staff is awesome. The hours are great. The number of locations is very convenient. Terrible office. Dr.Schechter left or retired. Dr.Lugo disagrees with the Dr. Schechter's ongoing treatment plan and wants to extract teeth and devise a new plan. If you want to get rid of orthodontic issues, get rid of your teeth. He is a strong proponent of teeth (plural, not just tooth) extraction. Run away from this office while you have a chance. read more

I have been going to NTOA for many years. Three kids later, I still highly recommend this place for orthodontic needs. I've checked around and haven't found any better. My children have seen Dr. Lugo and Dr. Schecter and we love them both. The office staff is always so accommodating and friendly and the orthodontic assistants are great with my kids. read more

All three of my kids have gone to North Texas Orthodontic Associates and I have nothing but great things to report. They NEVER keep us waiting more than 10 minutes.
