My experience with this company was terrible. We were following their truck on the freeway, in another lane. Gravel blew off the unswept bed, broke the car windshield and chipped hood and bumper paint. I told them where and when it happened and they have refused to pay for it and refused to pay the $500 deductible that I will owe to get all this fixed. Their insurance company, Propel Insurance asked if I had video of the incident, and we don't, but they know when and where their trucks travel. After living here 15 years and getting tired of the gravel and the mess, we wanted to pave our driveway, including paving under a carport, as well as a ramp behind the house. We got 2 companies to bid (3rd request for bid never responded), and picked Northern. Northern just finished the job this week. They did a great job - communicated well, and I am really impressed with Ron Moore, the General Manager, who was definitely focused on doing it right and making sure things were how we wanted. I hope to never need asphalt again, but if you need a solid job done by a solid company, Northern is my recommendation. read more

1st time they repaved the driveway it was obvious that there was issues. Not level and puddles everywhere. After 8 months they came and redid it all. Completely. And did a worse job than the 1st. And, they caught my yard on fire during a huge drought!! Now they refuse to fix it and are extremely rude!! Especially the wife of the owner. I'm suing them and they're denying everything. Pure scum!! Stay away from these aholes!! They tell you about theyre integrity thay have whilst effing you over!!! read more

Northern Asphalt has a very hard working and coordinated crew of professionals. They gave us exactly what we wanted in a road apron at the best price of three bids. We were able to foresee the work with their photos showing exactly the dimensions and locations of the proposal. They brought 10 folks and were finished inside three hours. Every crew member worked all the time they were there and they were very efficient. Everyone knew exactly what to do as I watched throughout the entire process. Floggers kept vehicles organized and at bay. I would highly recommend Northern Asphalt to anyone needing asphalt paving. read more

Our driveway developed a small sink hole two weeks after the warranty expired. At first they said they hadn't don't the work and gave us a quote for the repair. After we produced the warranty paperwork, and asked for a bit of a reduction due to the timing, they stopped speaking to us. Won't answer calls or emails. We went with another company that did the repair and added a drain for the same price as these guys. read more

My apartment complex was using this business to repair their parking lot. They released a memo well in advance that said if we weren't parked near the pink lines we were okay to leave our car there. I didn't think I was close to the pink line and was also VERY ill that week so I thought my car was okay where it was. 8 AM the day they were doing work my roommate was roused by a lady from their company BANGING on our door and repeatedly ringing our bell. When we answered the door she proceeded to SCREAM at us that we needed to move the car, asking "Didn't you get the memo? Can't you read? Are you stupid?" This kind of behavior is absolutely unprofessional and rude. It's one thing to ASK us POLITELY to move the car. Calling us stupid is not okay. They didn't even stop their equipment while I was moving my car, which could have been very dangerous for all involved. Some of their employees need some customer service and safety training. read more

Let me preface with I am a retired general contractor and have laid many asphalt driveways in my 40 years in business. I recently moved from SoCal to Washington and wanted to pave our new home's driveway, which is expansive - 8300 square feet. Normally, I would turn to my personal collection of tradesmen - "Bob's List" (as opposed to Angie's) which contains every trade that I might need to finish a project. Unfortunately, that list is only applicable to SoCal, 1000 miles away. So I did some homework and selected Northern Asphalt. They finished yesterday. I was not only pleased, I was astounded. Expectations are the greatest resolver of any purchase. When you buy a ticket on Southwest, you're not going to get caviar in first class. My expectations were blown away by Northern Asphalt. The customer service staff in Darlene is terrific. Estimator Doug worked out the bid; Phil, Cleo, Derrick and the other five guys were true craftsmen in laying down the lift. Highly recommended! We had three bids for our driveway paving project. One was lower than the bid provided from Northern Asphalt and one was higher. When choosing who we wanted to do the work it really came down to how comfortable we felt with the representatives that we met from the companies. Mike from Northern Asphalt came out to look at our project. He gave us a couple options on the repairs. He explained the whole process and answered all the questions we had. He also made suggestions that we had not even thought of! On our appointment date, the crew showed up early, ready to work. Our driveway looks fantastic, we couldn't be happier!! read more

I had read good reviews on Northern Asphalt and after getting several bids of which they were the lowest. The entire job of 2 drives and almost 2000 sq/ft was done in 1 day. The look was great and we were satisfied how it turned out. But things get bad quickly from here. The high power propane torch they used to seal the edges of the drive started an underground fire that smoldered for several hours and emerged in a stand of arbor vide trees between my house and my neighbors. My wife's grandson ran into the house yelling fire. I ran out to see one of the trees was fully engulfed and 3 others were starting up. The fire department was called and fortunately my front hose was hooked up and I managed to keep the fire from getting out of hand. They agreed to replace a 25 foot length of trees. The trees were 20 ft tall mature trees that they wanted to replace them with 6 ft young trees because they couldn't find taller trees. Calling around within 1 hour we found the 13 ft tall trees that we accept. They said because of cost they were referring the job to their insurance company gave us a phone number and we had to do all rest ourselves. That was the last they were involved with the job. We had to up front our own money $4400 to get on the tree company's schedule. The insurance did send us a check a couple of weeks later. 2 days ago the trees were installed and look as well as can be expected when putting 13 ft trees in a 20 ft stand of trees. The work done was very good but if you end up needing any follow up work or call back work this is not the company you want to do business with. read more

We built a new home. The process took two painful years. July 2013-July 2015. Of all the contractors we dealt with, Northern Asphalt was by far, the BEST!!!! We called for an estimate and they gave us the best price. They came when we wanted and did excellent work. It was much nicer looking then my husband and I expected. They provided a very competitive bid arrived on time with quality equipment with up to 7 workers at a time and finished the driveway paving in one day. Very professional and polite workers. We were more then pleased with their quality of work and service. They cleaned everything up and did a final walk around inspection allowing us to be sure everything was done to our liking.
