Northern Hemisphere has been great for me so far. I started classes a few weeks ago. I am 12 years old and just started. Coach Aiden has helped me improve so much. It is VERY good for younger kids. I have a lot in my class but that's ok, everyone has to start somewhere! While I will switch to another gym in the future, Northern Hemisphere is awesome for people, especially older kids improve on basic skills. However, I have seen coach Paul yell at several kid. There was a girl who was a red head, and lost her balance on a mat after landing, and was struggling to get up, when he yelled at her " Hey, red headed kid! Get off the mat!." I could not believe this. My experience has been good, but I would not recommend. read more

It has taken me some time to be able to sort out my thoughts as to what occurred with my son at Northern Hemisphere Gymnastics on 2/15/21. I signed my 4 year old and 6 year old up for 2021 February break camp 1/2 days. Everything seemed fine and I left with my 2 year old. Generally I would not be back to pick them up until 11:30am however I had a parent child class with my 2 year old so I happened to be out on the floor (unbeknown to my 4 and 6 year old). At 11:15am I happened to look over to the common area and saw my 4 year old by himself with half snow gear on and half off. He was noticeably upset and looking around. I waited thinking one of his "coaches" would go help him, however no one came. That's when I went over to him. The following are bullet points as to what happened. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was very cold. I asked where his group was and he said he did not know he came in because he couldn't find anyone and was very cold. I sat him down to get his snow gear off and when I took his boot off water came out. His sock was soaking wet as well as the bottom of his snow pants. This made no sense, you would not be that wet from snow. I notified the coach that was teaching the 2 year old class and she agreed that this was not okay for him to be alone inside with no one and she peaked out the door and did not see anyone either. She had him come out on the floor with my 2 year old's class until the rest of the group came in. 30 MINUTES PASSED! The coaches and rest of the kids came inside. They had NO IDEA that one of the children was missing from the group. There was no head count on how many kids they brought out and how many they brought in. Here is why his foot is wet. Coach Paul took the kids out on the Retention Pond! Mind you it is not fully frozen. See pics and you can google the filtration system of retention ponds. My 4 year olds foot went THROUGH PART OF THE POND! 1. Coach Paul was aware that his foot/1/2 leg went through because he had to physically pull it out because it was stuck. 2. After 1/2 his leg went through he did not bring him inside knowing it was soaking wet and it's 20 outside and get him out of wet clothes. He apparently told him to go find the other kids. When my 4 year old went up to the main area outside he could not find anyone. They were in a wooded area doing a ropes course and he had no clue where that was. He said he looked around and went inside because he was so cold. 3. Coach Paul and the other staff had no clue where my child is much less that one is missing from the group for a 1/2 hr. 4. He has kids out on the pond without helmets (I was there when another parent came in to tell him her daughter hit her head on the ice). I confronted Paul about all of this and why was I not notified he would be taking them out on a 1/2 frozen pond. He said to me "You parents should be thanking me. I didn't because you guys would say no and I take these kids to do fun things that their parents would not allow them to." I am THANKFUL that I happened to be there. If this was Wednesday or Friday I would not have been there and then what? I will never participate in one of his programs again. He called me telling me not to put anything on social media. It's taken me a while to settle all that happened and I feel something needs to be said because I believe that this is not the first time that something has happened and I do not want someone else's child to be put in a similar situation. read more

Awful beyond words. Where do I start?! A few years ago I participated in a mommy and me class with my autistic son. I explained he was autistic before joining. The owner, Mr. Paul, was the instructor and absolutely terrible. He continued to be frustrated that my son couldn't follow instruction and stay on task. Not only does he have ASD, but my God was 2! I chalked it up to like most people not understanding and pulled my son. Fast forward to today, my 9 yr old daughter goes to a birthday party there. She clearly has an ankle brace on ( shes a competitive cheerleader and recently hurt it) yet he continued to harp on her and try to move her through the obstacle courses faster than she was able to. She ended up hurting her ankle and ran off the mat and over to me. That man had the nerve to ask me if my child has psychological issues!!! Bc she got hurt and cane to her mom! Then he proceeded to say if she can't listen she couldn't come back on the mat. Listen? The kid was hurt. Then he had the nerve to tell the kids 5-10 yr olds to keep their crumbs off his floor when having cake! Really?! I have no clue how this guy is still in business!?! read more

My child has participated in many classes here for the past three years. We have had a birthday party here for her and were able to have the gym to ourselves for the duration of her party! We have always had wonderful experiences with the coaches and staff! Everyone is friendly and professional. Paul really prioritizes safety! A great place for kids. At Northern Hemisphere they concentrate on having fun. Our son loves going there every week. Classes are designed to help your child develop their balance and strength while having supervised fun on all the gymnastic equipment. Instead of your child always waiting for their turn, they have 2 or 3 things for them to do in a circuit. Great for those that just cant sit still.Trampolines built into the floor, tumbling tracks, pit filled with foam blocks, and more. Our child keeps wanting to return each session. read more
