I had attempted to replace a garbage disposal, but had an issue with a pipe falling apart. I emailed Rick after 9pm that night, and he responded to my email by calling before 8am the next morning. On the phone call, Rick clearly explained the work to be completed. Rick made the service call himself early in the afternoon, and resolved my issues quickly. He was able to access our crawl space, and navigate his way down there to running a new pipe for my kitchen sink. He installed the Garbage disposal, and cleared the clogged sink drain. The work was performed professionally, quickly.. and priced reasonably. The bill clearly listed all work performed, and detailed pricing. I will certainly use Rick Lucas Plumbing in the future, and I would strongly recommend giving him a call for your Plumbing needs.

A couple days later, 15 minutes before the house inspection the sewer backed up again, filling up the tub with sewage. They were called to come snake it. Again, they just disappeared. A couple days later and it backed up yet again. Called back to snake it yet again. This time they talked to me, came inside and flushed the toilet and ran water. They let me know they were done and leaving. They left my gate open and my dogs almost got loose. They also left whatever sewage material they pulled out on the ground around the clean out leaving me to clean it up so my dogs don't eat it and it doesn't smell the neighbors out.

(Sounds pretty basic but many other plumbers just don't do this for some reason and then they charge you for a million trips to the store to get the most basic parts.) The guy he sent was an experienced plumber (13 years as a plumber, as opposed to other plumbers who send out newbies.) He was considerate of my house. He put booties on and off each time he came in my house or left to run to the truck. He cleaned up nicely after himself too, which I greatly appreciate. He was able to explain the problems with my toilet. (A lot of plumbers treat me like a dumb broad and why should I care about why something is or is not working.) He said they guarantee their work for a year. My toilets no longer run. My sink got the two thumbs up from my dad who is an engineer. The cost was $400. It sounds a little expensive for two hours of work. However, it is worth it to me to not have the headache, attitude, and re-dos from other plumbers who were clueless.
