Absolutely blown away by this place! Such a unique vibe and concept. Their menu really is a journey and the server was more than happy to thoroughly walk us through it. I wanted to try so many things but was able to get enough of a variety in! Their small plates are soooo good and it's nice to have some elevated food on the side with nice drinks. They blew us away and I'll definitely be back! Great place for a few friends to join up or a date night out. Absolute gem.
The Nashville hot chickie nugs SLAP -- the perfect amount of crunch, sweet, and hint of spiciness. I also really enjoyed the meatballs, fried cauliflower, citrus tart, and tiramisu. The pain-killer-er, not a drop, and jack rose are great! The pain-killer-er isn't too sweet and not as spirit-forward. The not a drop has a good balance between tart and sweet. The Jack Rose is more spirit forward but delicious. Hosted a private event at Stargazer and the team was super easy to work with! I loved how flexible the team was and the level of customization I could do for my event. My guests and I were taken care of during the event and we really appreciated the friendliness and hospitality of the team working the event.
A close friend of mine hosted a private event at Stargazer so keep in mind this review is that of a private event rather than Stargazer on a regular evening. Beginning with the restaurant itself, the design and decoration is flawless! From the fun starry lighting, to even the spaceship themed bathrooms, they stay right on theme and keep it interesting. The foods we had passed around were exceptional. I had chicken nuggets, smash burger sliders, and much more. Every bite was exquisite! The drinks were all unique, themed, and delicious as well. My favorite was the Scandinavian Fog. Described as a celebration of Botanicals, creamy, nutty. It was reminiscent of a London Fog without the coffee, but it was very creamy and delicious through and through. Lovely evening, beautiful restaurant, the staff were all lovely, friendly, and helpful and overall I felt well taken care of. Bravo to stargazer for hosting this event so beautifully.
We had a great time at Stargazer! A friend found it on Instagram and we HAD to check it out for our GNO! I scored a last minute 10pm reservation online for the 4 of us and it worked out!! We had no specific plans for food and beverages, we just wanted good food and great cocktails. We started at a different restaurant next door, as we arrived 90 min early. The bar is very small, and there were plenty of groups trying to get tables. When we arrived at 9:50, they sat us at our reserved table/booth. The servers were welcoming and attentive. We each ordered cocktails, and 3/4 enjoyed their drinks. We also ordered a few pasta dishes to split between 2 of us. They were DELICIOUS - small plates so order one of each to pass around! Finally the ambiance is a cute concept! Its all black with "star" lights on the ceiling. It feels small and exclusive with a night club vibe. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Finally made it! They're seemingly always booked but my bf and I snagged a couple of seats at the bar which is really the best place to sit. Our bartender was super friendly, helpful and attentive. It really does feel celestial inside. You could easily forget what it's like outside. I enjoy the star lit setting they've created. The drinks were fantastic. There's def an art to making a great craft cocktail. They have a lot to choose from. Noticed some tasty sounding bites on the menu that I'll have to bring my appetite for next time.
We were having dinner nearby so I got us a reservation at this spot for a drink beforehand. Street parking available nearby this spot. The space itself is dark and intimate, with tasteful galactic decor that matches the name. It isn't a huge space, so a reservation is likely necessary during busy times. My one critique of our stay was that the booth we were assigned was very tight for four people. It wasn't really comfortable for all of us normal sized people to squeeze in there. Our server was great during the stay! The drinks really are the star of the show here. All the pun intended ;) I especially appreciated the themed menu and options, with each liquor being assigned a different Galaxy. We had a myriad of different drinks throughout the night, and all were great! I especially enjoyed the Wage Boy. I'd definitely come back down the road to try some new sips!
This is what I picture when I think of dinner with a view. Never thought I'd see stars inside. Beautiful little bar/restaurant, very cozy and quiet. We came here to check it out and loved the service and small bites. We each got a drink and shared a meatball sandwich and fries, food had tons of flavor and the drinks went down a little too easy. Beautiful date night spot!!
Second time coming here. This place is fantastic and dreamy. I get taken back each time I come here because I love the galaxy atmosphere and intimacy of the layout. Not a big restaurant but always seem to find a bar spot. The food and drinks are a bit pricey but it's worth it for the excellent bar service and atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or out with a friend or two to feel like you're in a spaceship.
Recently attended a private event here and had a fantastic time! The bar is cozy and has an intimate ambiance. The theme is present but not over the top. The service was amazing and attentive. They were very efficient and accommodating. I like that they offer many unique cocktails and offer NA options. The food was also very tasty. Thanks for a great evening Stargazer team!
Great experience for my first time at Stargazer, they were very attentive to my needs as a patron. Attended a private event at this venue where they were courteous and expeditious. Ambience was my style, because it was directly as advertised and not overly lit for a nice experience with friends and family. I ate more than 30 of these nuggets, see attached obviously. I would recommend this place.
Finally! I have been trying for over a year to get a seat at this place but its always so busy. I stumbled in here after dinner and was able to be seated immediately with a warm welcome from the bartender. The ambiance is amazing; low light with a overhead simulation of the night sky. The drink was delicious even though it took the bartender 3 times to make the sparks appear LOL. Definitely will be coming back .
The goods: The main draw of a wide selection of premium, interesting, well crafted cocktails was definitely worth the visit alone and the food was surprisingly well priced and quite high quality though nearly all of it was fried so would be limited if that wasn't your thing. The vibe was very interesting and would be a place i would recommend to others based on that The bads: I almost gave it a 2 though strictly because really our service was horrible. The place wasn't even that busy at the time, however our table was forgotten about, we didn't see our server once after the food order went in. Probably would have ordered a second round if given the chance. Eventually we had to ask for our dessert and the check, which they apparently dont split which was also annoying. Overall I have to assume this was a one-off but did negatively our experience
Fantastic venue! It's a nice, cozy and inviting spot. I was there for a private event, so I can't speak to the normal atmosphere. But I thought it was for sure a vibe! The servers and bartenders were so attentive and efficient with the food and drinks. The Nashville chicken bites were a big hit for appetizers. The staff noticed and eventually came out with a huge tray of chicken! I would highly recommend checking out this place! I will definitely be back for a standard night out. read more

Stargazer has a cool interior design and is definitely a fun moment. The food portions are great for those looking for something lighter side but for the pricing I would have expected larger servings. I shared the orbital dinner for two. We got the slab salad, alfredo mafaldine, grilled zucchini and the chocolate pot de creme. Additionally ordered the wagyu zabuton, fries, and some cocktails. I would get the wagyu and fries again. I was not impressed with the other dishes, but nothing was bad. Also the cocktails are always great here. Service was a bit slower than desired; so if you are in a rush this might not be the spot for you. Recommend Stargazer for their drinks! I would say food is not bad but not the best for similar joints. read more
I've heard great things about this themed cocktail lounge and was excited to finally try it. It's certainly a mood. The menu is really themed, but the bartender was able to help me select a drink based on what I like. We also ordered French fries to nibble on (better than most but not the best fries you'll ever eat). My favorite part was the bathroom. I was a little tipsy and seeing myself be purple in the mirror was a trip This is a cool place everyone needs to have a drink at least once. I would go back to try other options and explore more of their food menu. read more

My husband and I visited stargazer for a pre-dinner cocktail on Sunday night. We had a reservation and we were able to get a table very quickly. This place is intimate, but not overly small with a lot of good seating. There is not a parking lot but a lot of parking available on the street which is common for North East Minneapolis. We were greeted by a friendly host and friendly servers. My husband enjoyed an old-fashioned and I got a mocktail. We were only there for about an hour, but definitely would go back. It's a great vibe and I think there needs to be more places like this. read more

Stargazer was so fun! Right away, I liked the space-y vibe. The menu was creative and fun to read, and the bartenders gave excellent recommendations. Heroes & Villains was a funky drink, but in a really good way. The fries with space dust were a good snack, but nothing out of this world. The drinks were the real stars! read more
I really wanted to love this quirky cocktail bar but unfortunately the service was pretty underwhelming. While our server promptly took our order, after he dropped off our initial drinks and food he never returned. He also forgot to bring us our dessert we had ordered. We would have liked to order more drinks but by the time we got someone else's attention we were ready to leave. We were there with two other couples and they wouldn't split the check by couple which I found odd. We tried most of the food menu and especially enjoyed the coconut shrimp and shrimp roll. They had a nice selection of mocktails as well. The bathrooms were a fun touch and added to the ambiance. read more

Blink when you're walking by and you might miss it but you'll be sorry you did because it's a fun place to check out. You're stopped at the door by a velvet rope until your ID is checked. First come, first sat. We chose to sit at the bar and Isaiah made helpful suggestions from the menu (click around or head to the list if you want) and made us some tasty drinks. With the starry ceiling and attentive staff, it's a great place to chill and enjoy your cocktail. We'll be back! read more

We really enjoyed our trip to Stargazzer. We ordered the Nashville Hot, French fries, and Caesar salad, all delicious. Our group also loved the Old Fashioned and the Espresso Martini. The atmosphere is dark and cozy, and the staff was helpful and attentive throughout our visit. Even the bathrooms had a cool vibe, spacious, and clean. Overall, a great experience! read more
I wish I could give this spot 100 stars! Everyone needs to go to Stargazer asap! It has the BEST vibe. The music, lights, intimacy. Everything was so well done. Bartenders were helpful and energetic. They have 50 unique cocktails, so there's something for everyone! Definitely order the corn dogs. Prepare to wait in line, or put your name on the wait list and stop at another spot nearby if needed. Either way, it's definitely worth the hype! Highly recommend! read more
Fantastic spot for a cocktail and snacks! Seating is limited with no reservations. You're likely to be put on a waiting list, but the bar is in an excellent area with plenty other places to kill time. Parking can be tricky - only street parking. Things I especially love: - Cocktails are excellent. I was impressed with the selection. There are quite a few NA beverages too! - The space! The ceiling is the best part. - The unique menu - you get it through a QR code. But if technology's not your thing, they have paper menus too. - The bathrooms! Heard about this place from a friend and got to go withing the first week of it opening. Easy to find but you'll have to find street parking. Its first come first serve and I happen to be there at just the right moment cause I got a seat at the bar after waiting maybe 10 minutes. The place is small and intimate, was told it seats about 40. All blue lighting when I walked in and was there til bar close when all the lights turned red and they played the imperial March from star wars which was really cool. You scan the menu with your phone and it was like looking at constellations and different stars had different things from the menu. I loved that way, kind of an adventure when ordering. Got a couple drinks and tried the salmon on a stick. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks came out quick and had a great experience overall. Will definitely be going back soon! read more

I can see the hype, this place is pretty neat with the ceiling stars setting the mood. Parking can be a bit terrible and sometimes there's a line that I don't think is worth it. Overall if you can get in cool, but not sure I'd want to stand in line due to no reservations for a drink. read more

Stargazer is a place that I was excited about the second I saw it was coming to the Twin Cities. The outside of the bar makes it easy to miss but it also gives it a cool speakeasy vibe. When we walked in we were made to show our ID's and then sat at the bar. I didn't love that the only place their menu QR code was as soon as you walked in the door. The interior was dark and celestial! I loved the vibe of the bar. It is very small with limited seating and no reservations so we went on a weekday so we didn't have to deal with a crowd. I expected the food menu to be a little bigger. Not full on meals but a couple more fun tapas. The only thing that really jumped out to us was the ceviche. Personally I would give it a 6/10. I felt like it could've used a little more flavor. It was great once you put the hot sauce on it but I want it to be great on its own. The little bottle they give you is super cute though. Every drink we had was great! My drinks were Boogie Nights & Pina Verde. I expected the Boogie Nights to be a tiny bit sweeter but it was still very good! Very well balanced and light. The Pina Verde was great! I loved it. I feel like rum really overpowers a lot of coladas for me but I didn't feel that way with this one. My boyfriend enjoyed his two drinks but I don't think he was wowed by them. The drinks are quite pricey to be honest. Definitely somewhere I would only come for one MAYBE two drinks. Especially if you're also getting food. We loved the playlist they had going too!!! Overall we enjoyed Stargazer. I think it's gorgeous and they have fun unique ideas. I wish the food was a little more extensive and exciting but what we had was still good. read more

Overall a cool spot with great drinks. Free street parking out front. Make sure you have a reservation if you go! We waited 20+ minutes with a reservation for a table to open up which we didn't mind but there was no where to wait so we felt in the way of service and people coming in and leaving. The ambience is good but definitely overhyped by social media and a bit loud to hear someone at your table or the server but it was a busy Friday night so that was to be expected. We ordered a brownie and fries and were underwhelmed. Our server was friendly. The constellation inspired menu was so creative and the drinks were great! read more
We went to check out this new bar that opened in NE Minneapolis. The ceiling is full of stars, the pictures looks pretty cool too. No reservations however there is a waiting list, this place does get full pretty quick. Great location near other restaurants and street parking. Their menu is uploaded onto the phone by scanning the code. Then you can tap into each sections to see what types of cocktails they make and even foods. The bathroom was actually something to check out. It looked like a space ship with the buttons on the side, so I pushed every button and turned all the switches, the siren came on and we panicked. Eventually the siren turned off and the staff said it's all for fun. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. read more
