Not one star deserved but I had to in order to post!!! Wow what happened to your guys chorizo making skills? Who makes this horrible tasteless foul smelling as if you guys are making it out of old meat I don't like it I will never buy chorizo from here never again. I pray y'all are not doing this to the chorizo meat the smell is bad and I can taste the smell i gagged and had to spit it out. This is my 2nd complain on here about the Mexican chorizo.

I have heard about Northgate market through their radio commercials and probably television commercials also but today was my first time ever going into one and shopping. I have to say that my experience was excellent. I've never had such genuine customer service at a grocery store in my entire life. There were a total of three employees who engaged with me to ask me how I was doing and if I needed any help throughout my shopping visit. What made it more authentic was that they all spoke to me in Spanish! Beyond the noteworthy customer service, the fresh food such as the ceviche bar and tamale bar is amazing! Plus, the overall Latin influence is unbelievable. I felt like I was in Central America. They even sell piñatas! The store has some great charm to it and I definitely plan to return.

I live right behind Gonzalez Northgate Market, and they have their delivery trucks come in every day from 5 AM-6:30 AM. These trucks and the sounds of unloading are very loud, and I cannot sleep through the noise. Despite speaking to the manager many times over many weeks about it, nothing has changed. This market breaks city ordinances around quiet hours, and I am extremely disappointed by the lack of response from management. I just want to sleep without being woken up at 5 AM everyday, with no way of falling back asleep.

I love their $7 salad, I also got the ready made guacamole and some baked chips for lunch dinner while on the go. Something healthy. Came up to $14, they have really good products and cheap prices! Also the way the store is organized is pretty nice. Good service as well.

Ask the Community - Northgate Market

Which Northgate Market is larger West Covina location or LA Puente?

I think the West Covina store might be slightly larger, but it's also a little nicer inside than La Puente...in my opinion. We go to the West Covina store regularly.

Does this location sell the "Listo" packages? In example the raw salmon with jalapeño butter or shrimp fajitas ready to cook?

    Yes

The asada is premium steak chunks that is superior to any other asada you would get from a regular taco spot. The watermelon juice is one of the most refreshing drinks one could get on a hot day. The hard shell crunchy shredded beef tacos are so huge, i got full off one on one visit to thus spot. The nachos are heavy as hell and totally worth ordering. The service can take a little bit if time if there is other cars in the drive thru... but, it's well worth the wait. If you hungry... this place will not disappoint. This will not only fill your hunger, it will change your life. Good food, great service, friendly employees. Try the Habanero hot sauce while you are there. That hot sauce is one of my favorites. Do yourself a favor and try this amazing fast food spot.

I also wanted to try the taquitos, but I held off and got an order of fries instead. After placing my order, I drove up to the window....I had no idea where to stop to be honest. Then I saw the register, so I stopped there. She employee read my order back to me, I paid and waited. It didn't take long. Got home and I dug in. Breakfast Burrito - it's thick. They filled that tortilla with beans, eggs, sausage and potato's. That tortilla was holding on for dear life. Look I'm a sucker for a good breakfast burrito and this one hit the spot. They didn't skimp out in the sausage and eggs. Most places fill it with beans and fillers. Rero's did not do that, it was a good ratio. Fries - look, you cant mess up fries. They gave you a huge box filled with them They also gave me a small bag of tortilla chips and they tasted a little stale. Like Chipotle chips. Overall good value and the burrito hit the spot. I would definitely come back

When I was a little kid, my dad loved going to El Loco for the machaca burritos. I remember them being really good, although in fairness, my palate at the time was probably not exactly Michelin ready. So when I realized this El Loco was still around, I had to come check it out for old time's sake. I went with the chili relleno burrito, and I'm happy to report that it was delicious. And enormous. This thing was so big I could probably take a nap on it. It was cheesy, packed with flavor, and just plain old satisfying. There is one little caveat, though. I noticed the total seemed too high when I paid, and sure enough, I had been overcharged by about four bucks. I pointed it out, and the woman immediately apologized and said she'd made a mistake. I don't think there was anything nefarious going on, but it did leave me wondering how often a mistake like that goes unnoticed when someone isn't paying close attention. So, you know, maybe keep an eye on your receipt. Still, that's a relatively minor ding on what was otherwise a really good experience. The burrito was great, the nostalgia was strong, and I got to revisit a place that I remember from when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. And here's a fun little piece of movie trivia: Good Burger, starring Kenan Thompson, was filmed at this very location. Did we expect the tacos to be better than the ones at Disney's DCA at a 10 rating? Especially since these were soft not fried like DCA's. No, but tell you what, these were an 8 since we are comparing. NOW, the next day, I heated up the leftover 2 tacos in my air fryer at 425 for 6 min. Guess what? They are a 10 out of 10, just like DCA's!!!! Fuego can you fry these up? I My husband and I shared the surf and turf burrito. It was large enough to share! Heavy, packed with moist rice, melted cheese, birria and shrimp. Only modification we ask for was no pico and no chipotle crema. The shrimp was freshly cooked on the plancha and to perfection (had a snap). I was worried at first, no one wants rubbery shrimp. This was by far our most favorite item, and probably the best burrito i've ever had!!!! My husband said he'll buy me my own next time. Sorry, I don't have a photo. We gobbled that up so quick.
