I had an issue with Instacart, which I don't recommend because when there is an issue item they want to make you fill out a form. But anyhow, I called Food 4 Less and Manager manager Jasmine. and manager Rosana were very helpful and understanding I was able to get my missing items. Its a good place for shopping, I go there mostly every other day of the week with my mom to get our usual stuff. The reason why I give 2 stars is because everytime i visit, I decide to go check out your guys Pokemon Vending machine. I had just gone 11/21/2025 just to find out there was an employee just camping out the vending machine just sitting in front of one of the cashier tills waiting for product to unlock. Why does he get to just sit there and wait for product all day while im trying to find the little bit i could ever find. God, I can remember way way back when this Food 4 Less came to the neighborhood. Right on the border of Azusa, and Covina. Stopped here when visiting my brother to grab some food for a little party and gathering. Store is not so bad. Pretty clean looking and decent inside. Parking area has always been a mess. Produce areas, and stock products do not seem that they were in order. Customer service was good at least. But I ended up getting what I needed. Id visit again. read more

This review is not against the staff, but their IT system. The sale prices took forever to populate, nothing on sale was applying for a good minute or two. This is not the first time it has happened to me at this location. After I got to the car, one of the item was that was on sale was charged reg price. Ok.. I was charged .40 more.. not gonna waste my time running back inside to get a refund.. my time is worth more.. so I'll just leave you a honest bad review instead and maybe next time I won't buy so much stuff so I can keep track of the prices so I can better catch your mistakes. Very clean and organized location compared to the local locations I usually go to. Huge parking lot. Was not packed. Aisles were horizontal vs the normal vertical set up. 11 hours later and I'm still upset about the service at this store. At 10am there were 2 checkstands open (one was express). There were AT LEAST 6 customers in line for the regular checkstand. There was no attempt to call any other checkers to open up another checkstand to provide customer service. THEN the lady working the express lane calls someone behind me over to the express lane (there were already 4 other customers in front of me). The customer behind me was an employee with a full shopping cart AND in uniform. She said (and I quote) "YOURE ONE OF US! YOU CAN COME OVER TO MY LANE". The gentleman behind me declined her invite over to her lane, but she still insisted on HIM going over to his lane. Not any of the other customers in front of him, but only him. It was very rude to other customers in line. But what I can say about this store is that they were fully stocked with all of the items I needed and everything was where it should be. I didn't need to go hunting for my items which is always nice. But please, do something about the customer service being provided at this store. read more

What an unpleasant customer service experience with cashier Roxie G today. Before I placed my items to be scanned, I told her I have digital coupons. No acknowledgment as to whether she heard me or not while she continued to scan my items and tells me what my total payment due is. In the meantime while doing this, she saw I was checking my app and struggling with it. I was a bit perturbed that she was glaring at me and impatiently said, "I don't know what your coupon is until you show it to me." That blew a fuse! I answered back and said..."I told you ahead of time that I have digital coupons and yet you proceeded without acknowledging what I said". She was abrasive with her manners. If there was any miscommunication all she could have done was to be more patient which she did a bit when I was already getting upset. Too late to recover. read more

One of the cashiers refused to sell me Celsius drink, and proceed to tell my parents that it accelerates your heart rate, which is true, and told me that they couldn't sell it to me, even though it's completely legal in california, note im 17. There's something about this store, With the aisles going in the opposite direction. Who designed this? It's weird. Products nicely slopped all over the dirty floors. When's the last time this place got a good cleaning? I always feel like I'm going to get mugged when I walk into this place. Then having to bag your own groceries, while employees just standing at end of conveyer belt gawking at you with a vacant expression. And don't touch anything near the registers or the belts. Something might crawl on you and go home with you. Oooh, and bring a big book to read since the lines are long and gridlocked like the 10 freeway at 8 a.m. rush hour. Absolutely no sense of urgency. I don't know. I guess a misfit nasty dirty looking store. Maybe every agency that has to do with the food industry should be called to inspect the store 100%. read more

This grocery store has good prices and somewhat good quality as well. They always have deals going on, I usually check through the app or newspaper before coming in. I like that they have a Latin section available. Last time that I came in here, I had terrible customer service. I came in again and it was not terrible but it was not great either. Once again these place has no sense of urgency when it comes to the lines..... always long lines going to the back of the store. Employees wasting time and acting like DMV employees. Only reason I come here and not El super is because the fruit is better, other than that nothing else. If one cashier gets stuck on something all the other cashiers stall trying to help, I don't know why there isn't a front manager dealing with the line. I've been going to this food 4 less since I was 7. I used to like going to this place but it's pretty ghetto now compared to its competitors such as stater bros. I go here sometimes. The thing I don't like about this place now is that the lines get out of control at times and they seem to be understaffed. Meaning they do not have another associate or two or three to open up a register to help the lines go down. Instead they do nothing and the wait time for the lines is just long and absurd and crazy. When I buy the blackberry, the price showed 2 for $5, the flier shows $7.99, so I bought them and checked out and about to leave. This Food 4 Less grocery store is not my regular one that I go to. But, I was only a block up the street and I wanted to get some particular brand of champagne. Not all stores carry it. So, instead of wasting time I called to ask, then it would be an easy drive by to buy them. A man picked up, listened to me, and said "ok, I'll go check"... then click! he hung up on me. So, I called again, a woman picked up. I explained to her what happen, and what I'm looking for. She said "well, we have lots of champagne. I'm sure we carry that one"... click! again!! Really? I called the 3rd time, got placed on hold and now I'm already driving there. Parking lot is almost empty. Hardly any customers in the store, and I'm still on hold. Unbelievable!! They had a few carts scattered throughout the entrance and the check out area. I wanted to buy those drinks, and took one of the carts. No good. Then I grabbed another... worse! Kept looking for a good cart. They had horrible wheels on them. Maybe it needed an alignment or something! But, it kept dragging to the left, or right, and another one was vibrating like crazy! Went in Sunday afternoon with my mom to buy some stuff we needed, we never come to this food 4 less btw. The cashier was rude her name was Rebecca R. We were paying she didn't greet us nor did she ask if we needed any bags until my mom told me to ask her for 4 bags she understood what my mom said and threw the bags at us very rude of her!!!!. We're packing up our stuff and the guy behind us that's now paying she greets "hey how are you? Would you like any bags?" B****!!!! If you don't like your job go somewhere else! If I was wealthier, I probably wouldn't HAVE to shop here. But in all honesty, I don't mind much because you can't get excellent deals on items like canned goods. I think I'm slightly partial to F4L being that it is owned by Kroger. My parents live in Indiana and in other parts of the country, Kroger totally kicks ass. If you don't want to pay name brand price, totally opt for the Kroger brand, it is pretty damn good quality. Anyhow, the only thing that kind of bugs me about this place are the characters that shop here. I don't know what it is about this place, but every time I come here some random really weird stranger makes conversation with me for like 10-15 mins. I always triple bag my groceries because the bags make great bathroom trash can liners, and are excellent for bagging up trash to go inside your trash (like cleaning off the plates and you don't want chicken juice leaking in your garbage bin until trash day). read more

A typical Food4Less... I came here for pineapple juice, and left with fish sticks, Italian sweet cream creamer, apple juice, bell peppers, and carrots. Got more than I anticipated. All great items, but the bell peppers, like a majority of the broker peppers looked old. Even when I went home to slice them up, they weren't very fresh. Prices are inexpensive here, hence why I came here. The store is somewhat organized. The store could be cleaner. Parking is very easy. Very slow today, especially the express lane. Not sure why. I had a couple of small items. As she scanned them. I said I will take them. instead of sending them down the conveyor belt. I just figured it would be easier and faster for everyone if I just grab and go. She saif, No. I said, excuse me. She said its againt policy. I said. Since when. She said since this (covid-19). I told her, Since mid week. Since I was just there and they handed my item back after scanning. So, if you take the items to I but up on the belt and you take my money and give me change, why can you not give me back the couple of items so I can speed up the ling line? The store in has great hours, 6am until 12am, at least at the moment, they may switch to 7am down the road but for some reason they're open an hour earlier than the official site claims. The clerks are beyond friendly, they really enforced the masks even before it became mandatory to do so, and they actually have personalities and aren't robotic. The inventory is usually very well stocked, once in awhile they'll run out of something but that's due to delays due to our docks having issues, not the stores fault at all. I also prefer bagging my own groceries, I never cared for having someone else handling my groceries, and this is coming from someone who was a box boy many years ago, for Ralphs coincidentally, and it was in the location Food 4 Less is in now. I usually come in the morning and always have a good experience but today I came around 4. I shopped for a couple items I needed for dinner, having less than 10 items I went into the express lane only to realize the lady in front of me who is a worker there in full uniform I guess she had just got off her shift was with another girl she had two carts full of grocery obviously more than 15 items, then there was some kind of problem because she went behind the cashier to fix something on the screen. My problem here is why the hell is an employee using the express lane for two carts worth of groceries.. holding me and everyone else up. So inconsiderate and inconvenient!! She should know better!! That was the only express lane open and all the other lanes were long so I waited a good while for the 5 items I purchased, shame on you lady!! Other people in line were impatiently upset as well.
