This place is an absolute scam. I did not know a dentist office could function like a car dealership. I was charged $165 for an additional rinse because my insurance fully covers a regular cleaning. The first time I visited I was left to wait over an hour with no explanation, then told a cleaning would be an extra charge for a deep cleaning, which I declined, so went away with nothing. This time when I was charged $165 for the rinse during? after? cleaning (which was billed as take-home medication for some reason) they refused to clean my teeth without the additional rinse so I accepted it. I asked what the cleaning procedure would be without the additional element not covered by my insurance, and was told it would just be a pick, not the typical motorized pick with water used everywhere else. What? The pressure to spend more here is applied by all of the employees, it's uncomfortable and manipulative. Finally, they wanted to charge me for 3 cavities, when I had just seen a dentist at another location who found one. While fillings are covered by my insurance, I was quoted $350 per cavity with no explanation. read more

I love this place! I had an extraction in 2021 and they were so quick and amazing. I came in last week because I had so much pain due to a cavity and needed a root canal and crown, I remembered this place and called for an appointment and they received me immediately to help me with the pain. Kimia was the receptionist who helped me and she was so sweet and accommodating! Anthony and Armin were the sweetest and make sure you are comfortable throughout the whole experience. Monica helped me with getting financial help and making sure I got the right help with the right financial plan and I will forever be grateful for that. post review : I recently visited a new dentist and experienced NO lab fees. It's puzzling, considering neither the California Board nor my insurance seemed to be aware of this dentalnoffice approach. It feels like a gimmick that's spreading across the country--generally, doctors pay the lab, and patients pay the doctors. At this office, patients are actually charged $1,300 to choose their crowns and dentures . I urge everyone to be vigilant--do your due diligence, ask the right questions, and don't let anyone mislead you. New Patient Beware! I wanted to find a new denstist for my son so we came here. Keep in mind my son has been going to his regular cleanings and checkups all the time but it was time for his regular cleaning. Also Keep in mind I set this appointment only to do his cleaning and THEY DID NOT do it. Instead, they Xrayed my son's teeth and immediately gave a $4,500 bill to My wife. Keep in mind they didn't ask for: -His previous dental work - immediately said they need to do 2 root canal or extraction of 10 YEAR OLD KID. - no other options / no cleaning of his teeth They didn't even clean up my son's teeth which I scheduled the appointment for. BUT they sure gave my wife the $4,500 bill and had her there waiting from 4-6 pm doing nothing. My son came back with no regular cleaning done. Which I have insurance for!! This is a horrible experience. I will be calling my dental provider today as well to in for them. Just bad practice of scaring people shitless and not giving them proper advice or even doing their job correctly. Now tell me who is gonna clean his teeth? Every time I came in for an appointment they would upsell me. This isn't a true dental office this is a sales office. I went in for a cleaning (covered by my insurance) and left paying close to $500 because they said i NEEDED extra treatments and could not do the cleaning without it. So i decided not to come back to this location and had great experiences with other dental offices. Now, close to a year later I'm getting another bill from them saying my insurance didn't cover the cost from that visit. Isn't it your job to check with my insurance to see what is covered and inform me correctly? Now i have to dispute it through my insurance due to their negligence and upselling or i have to pay them another $600. Once you come here and notice them trying to add things to your basic cleaning or services, leave. Very upset and disappointed read more

BEWARE of this place. My college aged sister that makes no income went into their office for a check up. The dentists did not explain any treatment whatsoever and the sales people jumped on her letting her know she would have to pay $3,500 even though her insurance covers check ups. We noticed her treatment plan had a crown and other treatments that were not discussed. A sales person from the dentist office took my sisters phone and left. The sales person then came back into the room letting my sister know she had been approved for a credit card line because they put a fake income of $5K!!! Isn't this illegal? When I called to question this they lied and said they didn't do anything. Once I asked them if they had cameras in the office, the lady switched her tone and said they would rescind the application. Just another update: I did in fact receive my $450 back. My insurance looked into this and saw that i was grossly overcharged $450 for a laser treatment that should have been included in the estimate sent to my insurance and would have been covered. (I also NEVER received that treatment) My insurance also concluded that they also overcharged me for the actual crowns and procedures. They have been warned and my insurance let me know that they will be trying to educate them on policy. I think they need a lesson in ethic, if you ask me. it's disgusting to know i would have paid out of pocket had i not been upset enough to say something. they should be ashamed of the way they are practicing and treating people. IF YOU GO HERE MAKE SURE YOU QUESTION EVERYTHING! THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY AND THAT IS ALL! I came to this dentist office a few days ago for a big problem. I had an implant that needed to be removed surgically. This sharp thing was destroying my tongue and entire mouth. I have been to many dentists and no one could do anything but they all said I have to see an oral surgeon I called Northridge Advanced Dentistry and made an appointment I was lucky enough to see Dr. Perline Akhavan she was very sweet, I think she knew I was nervous she did an extremely thorough consultation and after x-rays and a CT she said I think we can take that sharp part of the implant out right now, I almost fainted. The registered dental assistant came in and after a couple minutes it was gone. He just had to unscrew it. No pain no cutting and no blood. After all of the dentist's I have gone to why didn't any of them do that. I could have been out of pain long ago. Before I saw Dr Akhavan I saw the assistant who was very nice, very gentle I liked everyone in the office, they are all so nice and accommodating I recommend this Dental office highly. The one good thing about this office is that you can get in last minute, but that's probably because they charge quite a bit more than other dentists that I have seen in the area. They even required that I pay $75 before they would even schedule an appointment with an endodontist which they recommended because they said that I needed a root canal. I later went to another dentist and they disagreed with this dentist and said I did not need a root canal as they recommended here. They filled my cavity and just replaced my crown, and I am doing fine. When I asked for my x-rays to be transferred, there was a very high fee involved, which after complaining multiple times, they finally waved. The owner of this establishment, a dentist himself called me because he did not like the fact that I gave him three stars and explained that he wants five stars from his customers. Even though he woke me up and I told him that I was sick he continued to harass me about my lack of a five star review. I tried to explain why I gave him three stars ( which I felt was overly generous) but he did not want to listen and complained that he paid his 3 employees at the front desk $35 per hour, which was very unprofessional. He wouldn't stop talking so I had to hang up on him. I changed my three star review to one star because of this. read more

This dentistry practice is an embarrassment to the community of San Fernando Valley! Rip people off by surcharging their prices (even after insurance) and medical assistants and staff who do not understand patient care. Prioritizes profit over people and I will NEVER be going here again, especially after being given the WRONG medical instructions. They seem to scam people by misinforming patients what "insurance coverage" is to surcharge items. When I tried to find a resolution via phone call and email, they stopped replying. After calling my insurance company for a resolution, they informed me that they FORGOT to provide me my take-home medicine, despite the multiple times I asked on the day of my appointment if I needed to take home medication. Buyer Beware!!! Dr. Kashani will tell you all kinds of wonderful things - he's a con artist and sales man. He owns this office as well as a couple others and he made a deal with me that was too good to be true. I have traveled to Thailand 4 times working with the Malo Clinic in Bangkok and had been working up the courage to get the All-On-4 PERMANENT titanium reinforced dentures. After meeting Dr Kashani for an extraction, I told him about my plans and he told me he would do the same thing for the same price. After getting paid, he had a different surgeon do the surgery (he was afraid of having a failure on his record as I was in the process of quitting smoking). The temporary dentures came loose and cut my gum. I thought it was infected but Dr Pauline didn't think so - 3 days later, I had to have a 2.5 hour surgery to remove the infection - missed an infection? Incompetent. Now I had to wait another 4 months to get the finals and this is when it changed - now they said I would be getting the cheaper "snap-on" over-dentures instead of the permanent fixed dentures. Over and over, they tried to fit these cheap teeth and they never fit right - each time they went to the lab, it was 10 days to 2 weeks before getting them back. For just under 2 years, I've been going back and forth. I confronted them earlier about the change in dentures and now I'm told it was always for snap-ons. Yes... I took him to Small Claims court and he lied - under oath. I did not lie but i also don't hand confrontation well - I did not present my case very clearly. He's a master at manipulation. I lost the case! Kangaroo Court. He will lie and lie and lie after he has your money. Check every code on the quote you get to make sure he's giving you what he promises. I did not check the codes. Example - code d5110 is for "complete denture - maxillary". That's what it said on my quote. I looked it up and all it says is "removable denture"!!! Ambiguous enough? He could have given me wooden teeth and I would not have been able to fight it. I did not look up the codes and agreed to a verbal arrangement - never thought he might lie to me. He cares nothing about your dental health - just his bottom line. DO NOT TRUST THEM - there are plenty of other dentists, many with labs on site. Stay away from this outfit unless you like wasting time and money. BTW... Dr Kashani NEVER saw me after the initial surgery, just in passing at the office. He never followed up or looked at the work himself, I was left to his minions and their incompetence. read more
