My first enjoyable experience buying a car. We saw a car on their site with a TRSP that seemed reasonable. Jacob was my salesman. Very easy going and not pushy at all. No hidden fees or surprises. We decide to purchase the car. We were going to finance and pay it off after we transfer funds. I had an interesting experience buying a black 2024 Certified Pre Owned Corolla. I took a hard look around the car before buying and I didn't notice significant scratches and dents, low on rear bumper. In the lighting I viewed it in, it was very difficult to see. There was no history of a collision on Carfax, no pictures of it on Toyota's website, and no warning of it in person. Jacob, the salesman, said he didn't know about it, and I believe him. He was kind, helpful and pointed out other, reasonable, damage that I expected for a used car. I had just signed the papers and am about to drive off the lot with my two year old daughter, when I noticed the damage. I was shocked and disappointed that I wasn't told about it. Jacob went to tell his manager Wyatt. That is where things took an unfortunate turn for the worse. Wyatt came out to inspect the damage. He seemed annoyed to be bothered. He mentioned that he spent all day working on the deal for the car and even went out of his way to pull up another car for me to look at. I asked if there was anything they could do about the damage. He said that there was wasn't. Maybe they could paint the scratches because it would only cost him $200. Wyatt said it was my responsibility to look at the car before buying and that I was out of luck because the papers were already signed. Wyatt mentioned that he noticed the damage before and seemed to be confused that I didn't see it. The way that he said this was very rude and not at all what I expected to hear from someone in his position. I felt like the second I signed the papers, I wasn't his problem anymore and that I was wasting his time. He then rushed inside to not have to deal with me anymore. Jacob the salesman apologized for his behavior. I sent Wyatt two follow up texts about repairing some of the damage and he did not respond. Later in the day I called to ask if I could speak to somebody else. I spoke with Steve, the other Used Car Sales Manager. I asked him why nobody disclosed the damage. Steve understood my position and assured me that everything would be fixed. He then fixed the dents and scratches on the car in a timely manner. I highly recommend requesting to work with Steve, and not Wyatt. This experience would have been 5/5 stars if I had worked with Steve from the beginning. I hope nobody else has to deal with the lack of empathy and compassion that I experienced from Wyatt. I can't imagine that's the experience the dealership wants its customers to have, driving off the lot in tears. I recently had my cv axle break while driving and brought it to Toyota Covington to fix ( been a loyal customer for a long time ) they kept my car for 5 days and I asked them to fix anything else and they said nope everything is fine ... also was told they did an oil change and have a sticker.... fast forward to today. one week after picking up my car brakes are GRINDING had to go to a different shop and was told by this other shop that the brakes are super bad + rotator arms are about to fail + THERES NO OIL IN MY CAR AT ALL ZERO OIL! this is absolutely rediculous! and so dangerous! Today I went in to Northshore for an oil change and tire rotation, when I overlooked the receipt at home I noticed that It didn't contain the results for the break check or tire wear which is usually included in the results, also my tire pressure was not at the required level all lower than needed. I will not be going back again. I have put my trust in this place forgetting it is a business 1st! I have been going there for about 5 yrs for oil change & tire rotation only. I have an outside mechanic & tire place I frequent. There is no need for me to spend thousands of dollars on their false recommendations. My Highlander has been in great condition until yesterday when I sent my husband in for routine oil change & tire rotation. He was the 1st one in line at 6:30am. The advisor comes out about 3 hrs later saying there's a radiator leak which was untrue until they manipulated it some type of way. They gave him the sheet with $2,700 worth of recommended services needed included $1,300 for radiator repair immediately. My husband declined the service because he was going to let the usual mechanic look at it. My husband paid, (cashier lied saying they don't do first responder discounts) left, and went to Walmart only to see a low tire & fluid on the ground. On his way home the tire seeped air so quickly he had to call roadside assistance. The mechanic came by & said there's a leak on both sides of the radiator & that whomever poured fluids put too much in causing the cracks. I called Toyota 3 times and they kept transferring me to a voicemail saying if the manager doesn't answer leave a message. I asked for the manager's first & last name for documentation purposes and well as everyone I spoke with. I will be getting this fix somewhere else & file a report and suit if necessary. I think it is horrible to sabotage for profit! I was planning on upgrading in March. But I guess I'll go back to Lakeside. Shame on you Northshore Toyota. read more

On July 1, 2025, I brought in to the dealer for the 15,000 mile servicing. I mistakenly pulled the exist lane of the service department. Human mistake, just was not paying attention. This sent a service attendee (white man, middle aged, w/ ponytail) into a rage. He motioned wildly for me to back outing followed out of the building. You could tell he very angry. after many years of having my Toyotas serviced here, I've noticed the quality of service sharply decline. Recently, I brought my 2020 Tacoma TRD PRO in for tire rotation and oil change. After waiting for two hours my service consultant, Robert, informed me that my battery was heavily corroded and asked if I'd like to have it serviced for an additional 43 dollars...Well, the battery was purchased from them and installed from them less than 18 months ago, it shouldn't be heavily corroded, I informed Robert of this, and he said, "well you should have purchased the battery care plan for $43"....i had him complete the work but when it came time to pay, I refused to pay the $43and he argued back and forth with me when it's clearly unethical to charge me again for a job that wasn't done right in the first place...not to mention that I am a customer who has spent 3k there on just preventive maintenance in the last 4 months. This place must be under new ownership because it fucking sucks now. you just lost a loyal customer. You can thank Robert for that. read more

According to warranty we cover 4 repairs not till 60,000 miles. Been a hassle getting warranty work even done have to convince them to look at your contract to get warranty work completed. Toyota Northshore Technician made recommendations on multiple visits without resolving the issue. Each visit was charged more money and the truck was not being fixed, resulting in more incompetent follow up. After a third recommendation that would cost several thousand MORE dollars in parts and labor, I brought my vehicle to another shop. According to the new mechanic's report, Toyota Northshore changed the wrong part and told me it was fixed. Toyota plugged in the truck, tested the electrical components, and changed the part that the code told them to. They did not have competent mechanics who actually knew how to do anything other than look at a machine and change the parts it told them to in my opinion. Toyota's response following my request for refund since they changed the WRONG parts and did not fix my truck after multiple visits, "I got with my manager on the issue, he said unfortunately we cannot do anything for this issue because it was not brought to US. We cannot go off of what another shop does or says. If it would have come to us, we would have gotten you taken care of." Recommend finding another shop to avoid paying for the repair twice, and still having an undrivable vehicle, unless you enjoy hitching a ride for a few days and need a few extra parts changed. read more

I went there today to get a new battery.They tried to charge me full price for the battery and when I said that the Toyota battery was under warranty she (Charlene) told me that I needed proof of purchase of where I got the battery from.It came with the dam truck when I bought it. Purchased a vehicle from this dealership and the purchase was somewhat Ok. The problem is the salesperson really didn't know how to explain certain things concerning the trade. A few times I texted the salesperson and the only response I received was "I'm with a customer right now I'll get back with you". Never heard from the salesperson except once after about four different texts. I blame the GSM for these issues because of a lack of training with his employees. BUYERS BEWARE of Northshore Toyota! I bought a new car from them 10 years ago with no problems at all, so when I decided to buy another vehicle, I went back to them. Huge mistake. I had searched on the Toyota.com website for the exact car, color, etc. that I wanted, and spoke to one of the sales managers there. I went in and gave them a $500 deposit for the car and waited for it to come in. I had told the sales manager that I wanted rubber floor mats instead of the carpeted ones that came with the car and he said no problem, that he would change them out for me (they were the same price). I had also told the sales manager on the phone that I didn't want the "Northshore Toyota" silver emblem on the back of the car and he assured me that they take those off of cars all the time with no problem. I asked him if it would damage the paint, and he repeated that it wouldn't. I went in the next day, signed paperwork, etc., and reminded the salesman about taking off the emblem. When he took it to the service department, they took the emblem off and also took some of the paint with it, so there was chipped paint and a scratch in the paint. Someone had tried to "touch up" the chipped paint and of course it looked terrible. They said I could either get my car back from CarMax next door to them (which I had just sold a few hours before for $3000 more than Northshore offered me for a trade-in) or take the car home and then bring it back in for them to have a professional come in to "fix" the chipped paint. I called CarMax, and of course they don't let you come back and get your car back once they buy it. And keeping the car with the chipped paint wasn't acceptable to me. We went back inside and the sales manager said there was another vehicle like this one coming in a couple of weeks and I could have that one. I told him I wouldn't have any way to get around, and he said that I could use one of their rental cars. I asked him how much that would cost me and he said "Nothing, we'll take care of it", so I said OK. I even signed a rental agreement and the price and everything on the whole form was left blank. I kept track of the new car coming in on Toyota.com, and noticed that my car's "Dealer Advertised Price" was $1069 less than the "SRP" price because the 2024 cars were coming out. I called the sales manager and informed him of the price difference, and he said that was a mistake, and that unless I saw it on Northshore Toyota's website, it was wrong. I looked on the NorthshoreToyota.com website and sure enough, the lower price was there too, and on all of the other 2023 models of that vehicle. I told the sales manager that, and he said it was a mistake and he got someone to change the price just on that one 2023 vehicle on Northshore's website, but not on the rest of the 2023 models. The price stayed the same on the Toyota.com website. No paperwork on the new vehicle had been signed at this point. The salesman under the sales manager tried to call me, but I was on the other line and he texted me, saying that the sales manager was trying to call me and that it was "good news". I called the sales manager back, and he told me that I could have the "Dealer Advertised Price", but I could tell by his voice that he wasn't happy about it. I told him that I would come in the next day to sign paperwork and pick up the car. The next day I went to the dealership, thinking I'd just go straight to the finance manager and sign paperwork. The sales manager was off that day, but the salesman came over and had a piece of paper to show me that had some "changes" on it. They had added $789 to the cost of the car and said it was for a "car rental fee" and the rubber car mats, both of which I had been told were no charge to me! The finance manager tried to appease me by justifying the charges with all of the typical car salesman BS that they hand you, saying they wouldn't make enough profit on the car if they gave me that sales price to pay everyone involved (yeah, right), etc. By that time, I was so aggravated and just wanted to get out of there, so I just signed the paperwork. The salesman quickly went through some of the basics of the car, but it was his day off and he was anxious to leave too. I've called Toyota's Customer Service line and another sales manager from Northshore called me, giving me the same car salesman BS, but the bottom line is that they are LIARS and UNTRUSTWORTHY. Their profit on the car had nothing to do with them not giving me the Dealer Advertised Price. And if I had been a stranger walking in off the street that day, I could've gotten the DEALER ADVERTISED PRICE without having to go through all of the BS that I went through. I wish I had called Enterprise to pick me up and used a rental car until I could get to another dealership, but what's done is done. Bought a 2022 Toyota Highlander limited hybrid and was told the only difference in the wheels was the color. Only to find out after hitting a curb and gouging a rim that the car has plastic rims- they are clad/laminated and the damages cannot ever be repaired. I had been waiting on a platinum vehicle and when Dustin the salesman got in a limited that had many of the platinum features, he called to see if I was interested. I would have NEVER bought a $54,000 vehicle with plastic rims. The service manager was defensive and aloof. As I was leaving an older man was yelling at another service rep. Clearly this dealership has issues The salesman wouldn't even answer calls or respond to texts. The sales manager Michael tried to assist but said he had no clue that Toyota had a rim like that - he had not ever seen it. So clearly the sales people are not trained properly. My sticker says 20" ALLOY wheels but yet I have non repairable plastic coated alloy. We had our Highlander serviced here this past Saturday with an oil/filter change and tire rotation. When we got a couple of miles from the house we received a message on the dash that said"Engine Oil level low add or replace". At first i thought something did not get reset at the dealer but after I got home I checked the oil just to be safe and there was no oil in the car. Can you believe that? I mean they did not put any oil in the car after draining it- needless to say I was shocked and pissed off. I immediately called the dealer back and let them know my displeasure and they sent a technician out to replace the oil. I am closely monitoring our car to ensure there is no lasting damage. This is totally unacceptable and we will not return to this dealer ever! Clearly didn't care about us or what we wanted, and had no interest in anything we said. He was clearly not motivated to sell and was ready to kick us out. I did like this place until today. Service department is trash. Pulled up riding a spare, getting an oil change and asked for a price on a new tire before they did anything. Waiting for 4+ hrs and no one ever said anything to me about a tire price. Car gets done, one tire and oil change $472, big guy checking out was just like yep well can't do anything that's the price. And on top of that these guys didn't even put the spare tire back under the car, they just threw it in the back of my 4Runner. A rodent chewed through a wire in my car, they fixed it without telling me how much it was going to be, and then told me it was $308. ($30 for the part, 250 in labor) when I went to pick it up an additional 80 in charges were somehow manifested. Maintenance light in car still on. But just see for yourselves. This isn't even my name on the invoice just a phone number. Meaning the person they spoke with to okay the repairs was in fact not me. Or, gross negligence. Incompetent beyond words and criminally negligent in fact. Nick the service manager had no answers beyond silence on the phone as he tried to justify charges. Keep in mind this wasn't extensive repair work. It was one wire in a harness containing two wires. The price quoted was not the price invoiced. Unprofessional appearance and demeanor accusing me of getting angry and threatening them with a lawyer. Damn right I did. I had my 7 year old with me I didn't use foul language or raise my voice. Legitimately the biggest waste of time, energy, and money. Brought my car in in the middle of May for three problems. They fixed my light and put an entire new transmission in my car. They gave it back to me after a month and a half of being in the shop and it still had the notification which said "pre collision system malfunction". It was on the receipt and was never addressed. We brought it back the same day and they told us they were too busy and to call and make an appointment. So we did and when we brought it again still had to wait in a line. They said they'd let us know the next day what they would do to fix it. THREE DAYS later when WE called, they told us that it's nothing serious and would only possibly affect the back up breaks if I don't break for myself. But also that it would cost almost 700$ to fix? When we said we weren't paying that because we could buy an entire new system for that price they told us to come pick it up. This is where it gets funny. Another week letting these people waste my time and they tell us it's going to be another 200$ for the "diagnostic fee". When I could have diagnosed it from the message. When we asked why this wasn't addressed before the woman I think her name is Jenn said that this was a new problem and I had to tell her that it was on the receipt and was one of the three things I brought it in for. They then refused to give the key back unless we paid their "diagnostic fee" because she said he had to hook it up to the computer. We were never told ahead of time that we'd be charged for them telling us how much it will cost to fix the car. Actually fucking insane. So although they did fix things over 6 weeks that auto one could've done in 2. It took them only five days to waste 200$ of my money, time, and energy on them doing nothing. I feel comfortable writing this review because I will not be going back. Literally go anywhere else. While many of the workers are nice people, the communication of this business is overly lacking and it's causing them to fail big time. I don't usually vent on Social Media but I will never purchase a vehicle from Northshore Toyota. Taking advantage of elderly people is not acceptable. They sold my 80 year old mother a vehicle. At that time of purchase the lift gate was acting up so they sold her and I quote a Bumper to Bumper extended warranty. I told the guy this was very important as she puts her walker in the back of the vehicle and he assured me the lift gate would be repaired under the extended warranty should it fail. Well 300 miles later the lift gate failed and they are refusing to make the repairs. Several things aggravate me about this is 1) they knew the lift gate was acting up at the time of the sale ie the push for the warranty and 2) I asked the service rep to have the sales manager call me. 3 days later no call and when I spoke to the service manager he said they all discussed the situation and there was no need to call me back. Well after venting for them to call they did finally return my call. The guy was no help and very sarcastic. WOW what great customer service. I expected more from a Toyota dealership. Unbelievable how my 73 year old Disabled Vietnam Veteran father was done at Northshore Toyota in Covington , Louisiana.,Incompetent sales department starting with Jennifer their "service advisor" continuing on thru Nick the "service manager" along with George who not sure his job title and all the way back down 2 every mechanic "technician" that personally worked on his truck. Which is a 2002 Toyota tacoma that's he's owned now going on 20 years, and with only 127,000 miles on it and never been wrecked i mite add. It needed brakes and a few other items that he was concerned about considering its age. After being advised by jennifer that it needed a water pump and timing belt put on it along with the brake job. After $3,200 and multiple trips back 2 the dealership the brakes are still not right. The quality of work, the communication wit Nick the whole 9 yards completely sucked and its a shame that there is no accountability 4 the poor professionalism in workmanship in business. Now he's burdened with finding another certified mechanic 2 diagnose the problem with his truck and financially 2 additionally pay 4 it 2 b fixed the right way this time hopefully. It's either that or he can take it back 2 Nick and the gang and they said they will take another look at it. Nope Nick and everybody who was involved in this experience will never c this truck again. If I could I would give Northshore Toyota 0 stars. Bad communication. Lady in service department was very rude. Went to pick my car up at 4pm after dropping it off at 6am. Had to call to check on my car. My car was ready but nobody had called to tell me. When I got there the problem wasn't fix and the lady in services also didn't car to fix it. read more
