This place used to be $12 and was good. I recently went and paid $32 before a tip for a simple 10 minute hair cut. Price gouging at it's finest. Plus they are not open on Sat, Sun or Mon. Nice barbers, little pricey, walk in only. Asked for a medium skin fade and got a SUPER high and tight with uneven fade. Cut took about 45 minutes because the barber kept stopping to chat. Google says one dollar sign, but the fade cost me 32 bucks. read more

What a great place for a haircut! Went there the first time with a friend A month later I went back. Tjis is the place to go and get a great do without all the fancy decor. A couple months ago I went to Royals barbershop near my work and paid $40 (plus a ten dollar tip because I thought that the girl who cut it was hot)! Having never paid that much for a haircut before I assumed that the fade I asked for while keeping the length on top wos top notch, only to notice a few weeks later that it was not blended well AT ALL and was noticeably different lengths and quite haphazardly done. The lady at Northside noticed it as well and turned it into the best cut I believe I have ever had for the wonderful price of just $12. Though I would have gladly tipped her more than the cost of the cut, I gave her a five dollar tip as that is what my budget allowed. I paid a total of $17 for essentially a 66.6% savings for a MUCH better result! The shop is busy, small, quaint, and clean and I don't plan on going anywhere else in the future. read more

I wish there was an option for 0 stars. Walked in, nobody acknowledged I was there even though the barber's made eye-contact with me. After a few minutes one of the barber's, "Do you need something? You look lost." *Clearly, here for a haircut.* I asked how long the wait was and both barber's looked at each other and said "Don't know." I never would have found this place if it weren't for my friend Google! I actually live extremely close to it, but I never noticed it because it's behind the shell station not visible from the street. I'm so glad I tried it out! My three year old boy is terrified of getting his haircut, as evident by his INSANELY awful crazy hair. I took him here because I was intrigued by the price - only $8 for a cut! When we got there, I was confused by how it worked because there's no secretary or anything and they just call out "whoever's next!" And to be honest, I was too busy entertaining my kids to pay attention to who was there before me. But Pam seemed to be very understanding and patient with me! She was great with my son and this was the very first time he didn't cry during a haircut. He did start to get nervous as she was going around his ears, but she reminded him that he's getting a lollipop and then all was well in the world again. Especially considering the price, I was super impressed with how nice his hair turned out! She blended it so nicely so there's none of that awkward sudden change from short to long. The atmosphere isn't the best - its kind of "unfinished" and reminds me of a cheap tattoo parlor, but I didn't care. I'd rather pay $8 for a great hair cut in an ugly barber shop than $17 for a mediocre hair cut just so my son can sit in a fire truck chair with a TV. So if you just want a nice hair cut without all the bells and whistles, this is the place for you! read more
