I have had my 500X since 2017. Have had an ongoing issue with loss of oil. Have asked multiple times during the factory warranty period that the engine be checked for oil leaks. I mean being three quarts of oil low between oil changes you would think I would see the oil slick where I park. Well we are 6,000 miles passed the warranty but I still have an extended warranty and now, low and behold... there are oil leaks and gaskets have to be replaced to the tune of $1800. There is a recall for oil consumption and I am really confused because now I am Being told the car is leaking oil but I have to fix it for them to run an oil consumption test. I mean how many different ways can an engine "consume oil?" Apparently the recall is actually a software update. Why run a test? Just update all vehicles. But seriously since the day after I purchased my vehicle, customer service has been lacking, service center has been slow, untrustworthy, and sloppy. Do not buy from this dealership. read more

Buyer Beware! The service department is not fully honest when quoting you their service fees. My husband took our Fiat in to have freon added. We asked them not to start repair on the car until they looked at it first and then call us to go over the service and fees. Approximatley 24 hours later, Mr. Mack called to let us know that it would be $270 plus tax for the service. My husband gave them the go ahead to start repair and asked them to add 1 extra part which was $13.97. When we arrived to pick up the car, we received a bill for $422.71. We questioned the additional fees and they stated it was for "disposal fees". The receipt we were provided does not have a charge for "disposal fees" nor were we told of disposal fees when we were contacted. We instead received a bill itemization of: $365.46 for parts and labor, $13.97 for the extra part we ordered and an additional $22.50 for supplies, with tax ($20.78) led us to a grand total of $422.71. Of course a disagreement began between my husband and Mr. Mack. In the end they gave us a $75 discount which took our bill down to $347.71. This is still far more than what we were initially told, but they basically said if you want your car, you have to pay it. Of course, we paid it. But, for future buyers, please beware of their deceptive sales tactics. Many prior reviews talk about their "hidden fees" when buying a car and during the servicing of cars. Use extreme caution when dealing with this business and make sure you have everything in writing prior to agreeing on something. read more

UPDATED The first paragraph captures my raw emotion right after the blowout. Read on to see how Northside resolved. Situation not ideal, but satisfied with resolution ------------ 10/2/16 We bought a Fiat 500x at 31 miles. The car is now at 1336 miles and our tire LITERALLY blew the fuck off!!! My wife is almost 9 months pregnant and this is the last thing you expect from a new car. ------------- 10/4/16 Resolving the above issue was rocky at first. We were out of town when the blowout happened. Roadside Assistance would only cover the cost of towing to the nearest dealership (which was Clear Lake) to replace the blowout with another Nexen tire. After experiencing the blowout and researching the Nexen tire, we were no longer comfortable with that tire brand. Given that we had just paid in full for the car at Northside, we felt that they should remedy the situation. Our Sales Rep was very responsive. Initially, the Northside Service Manager did take ownership of our issue. However a lack of alignment between the two dealerships and follow-up left us no closer to resolution after 24 hours. Frustrated, we visited Northside to escalate the situation. The Store Director, Ryan, empathized with our concerns. In the end, we were able to come to a compromise that remedied the situation to our satisfaction. ------ 10/11/16 Ryan notified us that our car was delivered from Clear Lake to Northside with brand new tires from our selection. We expected to pay for any difference in cost for the new brand, but there was no charge. We were also offered a loaner the previous week. My wife and I are grateful that a company like this not only can sympathize with personal matters, but also turnaround the situation in a respectable timeframe. It's my second time stopping by to look at the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I don't remember names right now,but I have one at least from an email. First visit was "ok". Not much of a follow up. Then I got an email from another sales rep asking me if I was still interested on the car, I did replied with a couple of questions but NEVER got a response back. Second visit...disappointing!! The sales rep didn't do much to show me the car, it almost looked as he disregard my interest on the car. I asked him to find an information for me and he came back literally 10 seconds later with a negative answer. NO WAY he could find out what I was asking in 10 Seconds!!! Very very disappointing. I came in interested in selling my old Fiat and getting a new one. Not only did I have to drive across Houston to get there for my appoint but the manager I was supposed to speak with did not even show up! When I asked for a quote on my trade in, which is what they said I had to come in for, they said they would have to get back to me. They never got back to me. Terrible service. So disappointed as I loved my first Fiat. Not all their dealerships are like this. The one I visited in Denver was wonderful! Take a lesson! Thanks to Myles, I'm in my very first brand new (not just new to me) car! I didn't think my credit was good enough, but he managed to make it happen. I contacted them through the website about a used car at first and got a response within minutes, even though I initially sent the request for info around 9 at night. The next day Myles sent me video of the car I'd asked about and followed up with a call telling me he was confident he could get me in a new car that day! True to his word, we signed paperwork that very day on a brand new Fiat 500L! I got a great deal, low down payment and low monthly payments, at a great overall price. He and everyone else treated me respectfully and answered my every question. My family had a great experience test driving both the Fiat 500L and the Fiat 500X. It's not always easy for my family and I to shop for cars due to our son who hates test driving. De Lawrence Went above and beyond in helping us get my son to go with us on the 2 test drives. That in itself means a lot to my wife and I. Customer service so far has been great. Lets start by saying I have never written a poor review before but this dealership blows my mind. August 13, 2016 I purchased my dream car a 2016 Maserati Quotroporte. I traded in a lexus. August 20th Engine light came on and was not accelerating like it did before. It stopped the next day. August 24th They did not pay off my lexus that I sold to them on the 13th and the bank took out my car payment, which I thought was already paid off. August 25-28th car starts acting up again and engine light is on and car is not accelerating even slower this time. August 29th I tow the car back to the dealership at 9:00 am. They tell me they will get me a rental which they never do. I go to the airport and rent a car myself. So I have to pay for a rental car and they don't? September 1st Told at 3:30 we think we might know what is wrong, said they would update me. I wait until the next day to at 4:45 to call them because they didn't call me to update me at all. They say we know what is it and a new part is coming and we will fix it on Tuesday. In the meantime my sales person tell me that they did not process the car properly and should have done that before I took possession. Are you kidding me! September 6th I get a call saying the brand new part the received is broken! How can a brand new part be broken? It is now 3:30 on September 7th and I have no idea of what is going on with this car! I understand mechanical things happen all the time especially to cars. The problem I have is with the customer service. 1. You didn't pay off my other car in a timely matter 2. I had to rent my own car which made me pay this new car note, rental car & my old car all in 5 days! 3. You didn't process the car when you received it at the dealership? 4. Very limited communication during this transacation. So at the time I am typing this I still know nothing! I can not recommend this kind of treatment to anyone. read more

Had a 7:45 am oil change apt. Showed up and they had some computer issue or what ever ( you would think common sense and partial intelligence would look up incoming appts and call them so I don't have to take time off and or get up early) courtesy reschedule? Nope.. Had to fight for another appt. 3 Vm for GM and not a single return call back. So obviously their doing so well they don't have to be polite or anticipate the service. Just call with in 5 min you'll figure it out on your own. They have no concept on what returning a call is. I'm sure mechanics are great if only I could get to that stage Ha ... Buying was easy. Getting an appointment is the most irritating thing. I have a Fiat 500L which NO ONE will do an oil change for because the filter is difficult to get to so everyone says we don't do Fiats. I have several issues that need corrected and like previous appointments as of the pay year, I had to schedule one for A MONTH out and would need a loaner. I'm told the appointment is made and we'll have a loaner for you.... so the day arrives, no loaner and need to reschedule. As a Fiat owner and a slave to the dealership....words cannot express how much I would avoid a fiat and the dealership. read more

I generally do not post very long reviews, but this one will have to go into detail. The arrogance and disrespect of this dealer goes beyond anything I have ever seen in retail. I was trying to trade in my 2015 Nissan Gtr and purchase a 2018 Quadrifoglio. While I was finalizing the deal, I tried to get some incentive for a couple hundred dollars I didn't feel was very fair. Vince the finance manager returned and told me "you can have your first service on the house" to which I promptly agreed and said "that's a deal." I later come to find out that EVERY first service on EVERY Alfa Romeo is included with the car. As I was trying to make the down payment on it, I was informed I could not place the entire down payment on the business credit card I use. That's fine, but what he told me next was horrible. Ryan Hon (the store director) had informed Vince Curry (the finance manager who said that he is number 2 under the owner) that if I continued to hassle them with questions about why 2500 was max that I could put on the credit card, that they would no longer be interested in my business and I could go somewhere else. Keep in mind that we had already agreed on a price, ran credit, and shook hands. I informed the dealership that I need the paperwork in my moms hands by Monday evening as she was leaving to Europe on Tuesday as she was the one purchasing the car, and I wanted to get this deal done before then. Come Monday they lead me around in circles about where and when the paperwork would arrive, telling me 45 minutes to 1 hour at 3pm. The paperwork didn't show up until 6:47pm (dealership closes at 7pm) and 10 phone calls to Vince later. Once the paperwork had arrived, I promptly called back because I had noticed the mileage on the car was 200+, and when I was being shown the preliminary break down for the cost of the car, it was at 3. I spoke to Ryan Hon, who is the most arrogant sales director I've ever had the misfortune of coming across. He told me that 200 miles is completely normal for a brand new car, and that it must've been from salesman driving it around to keep the battery fresh, as well as test drives. I asked him what he could do because of this, and he said to let him know what time I'll be bringing his loaner back and that we can cancel the deal because he isn't going to do anything and that northside alfa romeo does NOT need my business, nor do they care about it. Keeping in mind that at this point, I had left a down payment and was just waiting on the paperwork to finish this deal. Ryan also had no explanation for Vince's promise about the first service being free, when alfa does all the first services on new cars, free. Vince also mentioned to me that I have to leave 10's on the dealer survey or don't bother filling it out because it effects their income from alfa and what they are allocated for display etc. the tipping point for me was when I was going over the paperwork and noticed the 36 months I had agreed upon, was changed to 60 months. All of the paperwork that they sent to me 13 minutes before closing was wrong. No one offered me an after hours number to call to make sure that it was to my satisfaction. This was a problem for me because I had to have it done by Monday night, and they had known about this since mid Saturday afternoon. I have filed a complaint with alfa romeo consumer affairs and urge EVERYONE to take their business elsewhere. This dealership doesn't value you, your money, or your continued support. The sales staff is excellent, and Cameron was very kind, but the people above him could care less about you. I spent 7 hours on Saturday making this happen, and stressing all of yesterday to make the decision that I wasn't going to be taken advantage of, especially on a 80k dollar car. I hope that they revise the way they deal with customers because it is frankly disgusting. The car would've been picked up on Thursday, I'm not writing this because I wasn't serious or just browsing, I'm writing this because i had invested so much emotion and time into making this happen, and at the very end, the comments Ryan Hon made, as well as the preparation of the paper work by Vince Curry, was unacceptable. Ryan Hon is the one replying to you on your yelp, Facebook, and google reviews. He absolutley does not care about you as a customer, or even as a dollar sign. read more

In Spring of 2013, I started receiving e-mails from this dealership (signed by Ed Paez) to my work e-mail (which I don't use outside of my work). The message hypocritically stated "This email is being sent to you, [my name], because you either showed interest, purchased or serviced a vehicle at Northside FIAT of Houston". All of that is a lie. I've never dealt with this dealership or even known about them prior to that spam. From the combination of how the name was written and the e-mail address used, it was clear, that they simply copied our departmental directory from the departmental website. In my books, that is a bad business practice. When I called Ed Paez (281-907-8819) in December of 2013 to complain, he told me that they don't collect addresses that way, and did not bother to even apologize for the inconvenience. However, he was polite and told me that he "officially removed my address from their mailing list". I hope at least that part is not a lie. The store director finally called me back and was not even willing to listen to me, basically telling me I should not bring my car back to their dealership. Very long story short. Due to floods we lost 2 vehicles and purchased 3 cars from the dealer. We spoke with De Angelo Burrell and Brian who are outstanding sales people. If you must buy a car from this dealer keep these your eyes open for the following items: If you negotiate a price which is acceptable to both parties, MAKE SURE YOUR DEAL IS FOR THE AGREED PRICE, TAX, TITLE, LICENSE and ONLY OPTIONS YOU REQUESTED OR AGREED TO BUY. They have an add-on for $399 which is a "theft insurance policy" which your car must be covered by your auto insurance. When you tell them that you don't want it and haven't told about it unless they did tell you. They get quite arrogant to the point that unless you pay for it they won't sell you the car. Under Texas law I'm not aware of any insurance policy that you must buy other than auto insurance withe required limits by the state and the bank financing your car. If you have any doubts about the car and want to have it inspected by your mechanic or vehicle brand authorized dealer "DO NOT SIGN ANY PAPERWORK, ASK THEM WHAT MUST BE DONE FOR YOU TO HAVE THE CAR INSPECTED BEFORE YOU BUY IT!" In summary, the Sales Team is very nice and works hard for your business but management is arrogant, disrespectful and just plain unprofessional. I'm assuming that this happens to flood victims forced to buy used cars. if you have the money to buy a very expensive Alfa Romeo or Maserati you will be treated fine. Good Luck... read more

This dealership is a true example of greed. In today's market, they wanted to offer me $3500k less than what it's worth, and everyone else offered. And their excuse was because of the carfax information didn't match with the information I have filled out on the trade-in WHICH IS NOT TRUE... I traded my car at another dealership and they gave me a copy of the CARFAX there is absolutely nothing on the carfax that will drop the price that low... Later they said we are a preferred CarMax dealership and can match the price... So, now you are ready to give me a better price for my trade-in but before you couldn't and there was no way... And your Maserati is overpriced with minor damage on the carfax.. so if that is not affecting your car price why is it applying to my car.. I do not recommend these guys simply because I feel they are taking advantage of people when it comes to trading in vehicles, they are not giving the market value for the car that you are able to get elsewhere.. Therefore I would strongly suggest to anyone if you are looking to trade here at least take your car to another dealership and to Carmax to see what you can get for it. I purchased a 2017 Fiat Spyder after doing little research. There was little to research because they just changed the model but was not happy with the employees at the time. Of course this was weeks after I lost everything to Hurricane Harvey and needed a car. My daughter had a fiat and loved it (she did not purchase it from them) but it is a good looking car. It is a standard 6 speed. I have never owed an automatic only standards so fine with me. From the beginning I noticed it had no power, no pick-up and did not shift smoothly but I had been in a Mustang GT before the storm and the salesman reminded me how I couldn't compare the two. I thought ok. Finally the transmission is changing gears by itself, the rpm gauge with a digital read out of what gear you are in began to go crazy and would change as you were driving. I am retired now so don't drive the car every day. A few days later I had my daughter ride with me to see the gauge malfunction and see it change gears by itself. I wanted a witness. As soon as I got home the transmission completely failed. This car has 4000 miles on it ....4000. I had to pay the tow truck an extra $40 to take it to the dealer. No loaners, only if you let them know a week ahead of time that their car is going to fail. Ok. They called my daughter who had also replaced. Her fiat from them and asked her if I really knew how to drive a standard. Really? I bet they don't ask men that question. I could not get the salesman, manager or service to return my call. After having my car a week they finally decided operator error, not covered by warranty and I have to pay for the repairs $1500. Still no loaner and a week later still no car. I asked them if they were familiar with this problem that has been documented by other owners who purchase another part and have it installed themselves because it's not uncommon. They said nope, operators error. 4000 miles and I'm stuck with this POS and have yet to get a call back. Stay away from this place. I'm sure the Mazzarati customers do not get the same treatment. read more
