I worked with Mr. Rivera on the purchase of a Subaru Crosstrek in your lot. My credit union sent a check to the dealership with tracking that I supplied to Mr. Rivera, and my down payment was eventually processed after days of asking him to accept and charge it. However, I am not satisfied with Mr. Rivera's service. Over the course of my experience with him, he treated me less like a customer and more like a scam artist and completely soured my relationship with this dealership. I was willing to purchase the vehicle without a test drive and trust this business because I was impressed with how thoroughly serviced the vehicle appeared on the CarFax and how highly rated this place appeared. While I suspect Mr. Rivera is a lovely man and sales representative in person, he does not seem fit to handle online sales. He was extremely unhelpful and made me bend over backwards to prove myself committed to this transaction. I understand the trouble outside financers can cause and that there are bad actors out there issuing bad checks, but I would not have wasted my time with a dealership in another city around the holidays buying a used vehicle that I hadn't even seen in person if this was not a car I had been truly committed to purchasing. I spent days just asking for him to cooperate by accepting my down payment, my credit union's approval notice, the agreement to pay, the tracking number for the check, and the instructions for how to finish the title application as proof that my credit union does not need the title before the check is cashed, only to be told that he will not take my money until he gets the check in hand from my credit union. It took my bank calling him directly to take the down payment, yet all I heard back from him in the time since was that he was still waiting on the tracking number, which had been emailed to him. Moreover, if Mr. Rivera was so hesitant to trust me along the way, his ability to call my credit union and confirm the loan's approval and the incoming check was always an option rather than speaking to me like I was trying to pull some kind of scheme. Because the only mode of communication where he was cooperative was by phone, I was written up at my job for trying to deal with this in a timely manner. So much trouble could have been avoided had he simply been more equipped to conduct business via email or taken the time to call my credit union. Again, I'm certain Mr. Rivera is a perfectly fine salesman on the floor. The phone calls I did have with him were personable enough, but his ability to conduct online sales is sorely lacking. Additionally, on the day I scheduled to pick up the vehicle after finalizing the transaction with Miguel Castaneda, I can't say the service there fared much better. I was rushed in and out the door after my test drive and given no time to go over what I was signing, nor did anyone even explain what each paper I signed was. When I reached out to Mr. Castaneda for digital copies, I was given a fraction of the documents I signed. I recognize that I stressed my own tight timeline as someone who wasn't local to the area, but the issue wasn't the hour I scheduled to be there - it was merely the day that was imperative. Overall, I may be content with the vehicle I purchased, but this entire ordeal was by far the most unpleasant interaction I have ever had with a sales team, and I cannot in good faith recommend my Houston family to this dealership. read more

However, today I was told by a salesman that I cannot get the second key that was supposed to be given to me when I bought the car over a year ago, He was actually arguing with me!! I told him I was reading from the manual and he asked "What manual"? Of course it is the owner's manual and accompanying material we all receive. Then, according to him, because I bought a used car, I wasn't entitled to a second key. Fred Haas sold me a 50k Dodge Challenger Hellcat with odometer fraud. Purchased a Challenger Hellcat from Fred Haas on Sept 1 for around 50k. Two months later, while attempting to trade the car in at another dealership, I was told that the miles on my Hellcat odometer did not match the miles on the car's vehicle history reports. They also told me that the title to my Hellcat should be listed as "Not Actual Miles" rather than the "Actual Miles" title sold to me by Fred Haas. The dealership was not able to accept my car on trade since it appeared to have odometer/title fraud issues. Completed my own research and found that the vehicle history reports were correct and the car had significantly higher miles than what the odometer was showing. Reported the issue to Fred Haas. During many recorded phone calls, GM Nate Murphy told me they knew about the discrepancy between the car history reports and the mileage showing on the odometer before they sold it to me, but they felt the car was "in excellent shape and reflected the lower miles shown on the odometer rather than the higher miles shown on the history reports." On the same recorded phone call Mr Murphy said that he, "trusted his used car manager more than he does some 15 dollar-per-hour worker at those reporting agencies." Mr Murphy expressed to me that they did not feel that they should have informed me of the issue before I bought the car and were not concerned that they had included the incorrect mileage on the Odometer Verification sheet in our sales contract. They offered to let me trade the car in on another vehicle but would only give me trade-in value for my car. The car is now worth not even remotely close to what I paid for it just two months ago and I am out a significant amount of money because of this odometer issue that was not disclosed to me. Not to mention I have a potential odometer fraud vehicle on my hands so most dealers I've spoken with won't even take the car. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! read more

Originally selling me a car but stating it wouldn't get here in a week which I did agree to, later it turned into two weeks and then possible the latest 3. He said the car had just came in that day and it was originally on hold for someone which is why he wasn't aware of it BUT again the other dealership explained that the car is showing to have been on the lot for 8 days when I placed my deposit 9 days ago. I'm having a hard time believing him but continue to buy the car as I really needed it. The employee tried to say the car was worth way more than it actually was and thanks to another dealership explaining the price down to the exact number I knew he was lying AGAIN and tries to backtrack that he didn't actually know the price despite being so confident. He also promised which I have proof of the APR he would give me which the finance man explained he couldn't do due to changes in the market and what the banks provide and that the employee shouldn't have promised anything. After reviewing the price sheet, I noticed the following: 1. $2995 "Market Adjustment" Overcharge (no other local dealerships had this for the same exact model) 2. $229 Weather Matt Double Charge (these were already included in the off-road upgrade package) 3. $500 Window Tinting Overcharge (other dealerships added feature for $395 versus $895 at Fred Haas Toyota) I returned with my brother with the price sheet from Guyo Toyota of Conroe for the same exact model (different color) asking for a price match and got quite a show from the sales rep. He called the Conroe dealership with a fake name and asked for a quote over the phone without putting it on speaker. I can't make this up! It was almost out of a sketch and very unprofessional. The meeting resulted in the Fred Haas Toyota sales rep asking us to visit Conroe in person and confirm the deal as stated. We did just as asked and sent scanned images of the CONFIRMED price sheet for the same exact model to the Fred Haas Toyota sales rep and were once again met with a wall.
