We came here after the board room was closed since we planned a board game night with friends. Scrambling to find a place, we stumbled upon this cafe since they had live music in the evening. We saw tables large enough to set up our board games and decided to stay. I'm so glad we found this place because they have some of the best grilled cheese I've ever had. I got the Italian feather loaf bread and mozzarella/gruyere combo for my grilled cheese and a side of potato salad. I don't have pictures since I finished my food so quickly. They also have $5 mimosas which we kept ordering and their beers were between $7-$10. Their bathrooms were also very clean at the end of the night too which I appreciated. I'd love to come back sometime

This is one of my go to post run lunch spots. They all this place the social coffee and wine, and it really fits the bill as a social gathering hub. I just really like the energy. It might be because it remind me of dining halls or cafeterias - in a good way. I will say parking here is really difficult because it always seems so busy. I think lots of folks have the same idea because we came after a race this time, and I saw lots of folks with the same participation Me and my friend got the BLT burger, and he did notice that I got noticeably more bacon than him. I'm not complaining lol, but there may be inconsistencies in their portion sizes.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Arlington! They offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I especially enjoy sitting outside at their picnic tables. Their coffee is top notch - they make a delicious latte! I especially appreciate the artistic skill of the baristas who work here. My family ordered three oat milk lattes, and each featured unique latte art, which made us smile. :) The ham & cheese croissant here is great as well!

I did a quick takeout order for a weekday breakfast and I really wish I'd have had time to sit and eat! The options were all exceptional looking but I ended up with the sugar plum latte and avocado toast and both were some of the best I've ever had. The team was super busy, but was able to get my order out really quick; they were on top of it! My avocado toast was amazing mostly because it included a lot of greens and the poached egg had just the right texture. I also ended up with a cookie, those pastries were so enticing and there were so many options! I loved it so much, I'm headed back for breakfast really soon, def a repeat spot and maybe even an evening drop in because the vibes were quite cozy and fun.

Good variety on their menu and wonderful outside seating setup! I got their seasonal fig leaf latte which was so well done, i was really impressed. Took a while to get our coffee orders so just be prepared to wait a bit. Employees were super friendly. Delicious looking pastries, I loved all that they had to offer. A mouthwatering display!

My daughter and SIL 2B just moved to Arlington, VA and by good fortune are very close to this establishment. We sat outside bcuz we were walking their lab and there is a water bowl for your pup. Coffees, breakfast sandwich, and blueberry scone were all excellent. The scone was loaded with delicious blueberries. Nice breakfast menu choices and I went for the special of the day egg sandwich. Prices very reasonable. Casual but pleasant indoor seating with AC in addition to outdoor seating. Pleasant, polite service. We'll be back soon!

My group of 8 had no problem finding seats at 9am on a Saturday at this popular no-frills restaurant; however, the place got crowded quickly. Good: Ample seating upstairs, outside, and on the main level; good coffee; decent selection of pastries. Bad: No indoor heat on a 47 degree day. 3.5

Had their ham & gruyere quiche, which was fantastic. So light, so fluffy, and yummy. They have cholula available which made it even better! The side salad and fruit were appreciated too. I always really appreciate the abundance of indoor and outdoor seating, especially as the days are getting nicer.

I went to this cafe for a nice quick breakfast, the vibe was very nice and casual - it's very nice for a summer breakfast. They have outdoor and indoor seating, good food options, caffeine and alcoholic beverage options so there's something for everyone. The service is also pretty quick!

Lovely local spot!! Lots of parking right next to the restaurant- always a bonus!! I've been there multiple times and it's always good. Got the white bean pesto soup which is yummy. There's two levels to the restaurant- the only downside is that it can be a bit drafty and cold in the winter. The service is always top tier.

I stopped by here to grab a quick brunch to catch up with a friend. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon, and my friend ordered the avocado toast. I also ordered one of the seasonal lattes, and my friend had a chai tea. Both of our drinks were really excellent, and they were fast to come out. The food took a while to be made, and there were a few issues with the ringer, but we were happy to get the food eventually. Overall, I thought my breakfast sandwich was just OK. I wish that there were more sauce and filling, and overall the sandwich was on the dryer side. My friend enjoyed the salad that accompanied her avocado toast, but overall felt like the toast could've been warmer, and by the time she got the second piece of avocado toast it was a bit soggy. Overall, the ambience of the place is really cute, classic community, coffee shop, with decent, but not remarkable breakfast food. I would definitely come back for the drinks, and would consider getting a pastry next time instead.

Such a cute little restaurant! The turkey avocado sandwich was excellent and service was very fast. They also have a happy hour deal where a glass of wine was $7. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating- our only complaint was that indoors in the summer was very hot

Always nice to drop by here when I can. A bit congested seating wise, but pleasant Arlington vibes. The food isn't as satisfying as it used to be, so I come more for nostalgia when I used to live in the area. Everyone is super nice though.

Ask the Community - Northside Social Coffee & Wine

Hi, just curious does this place do open mic? I just searched open mic on yelp and this coffee shop came up first. If so, like when is it? Thx! Luv Northside Social

Does this place allow for customers to bring their own coffee cups/mugs?

Looks like it's permanent!! Any business that found they make the same money opening shorter hours, they will still on those short hours! I really wish they listen and come…

Did they change their hours permanently or just for covid?

Just for COVID however there is no clear date to go back to norm. Keep supporting their business during this rough time :-)

. What is the best way to store coffee? Should coffee be kept in the refrigerator, the freezer, or on the shelf?

Definitely in an air tight container, at room temperature. Also, the fresher the coffee, the better - so use it quickly if you can!

Both times we've gone, it was during their happy hour, which runs until 7 pm, and we stuck to the special menu. Those have included their Charcuterie Board (something that contributed to Dr. Oz not being a senator), crispy Brussels sprouts, their Margarita flatbread, chicken skewers, and truffle fries. Don't hate us; that was spread over two visits. Everything tasted great, though next time I think we'll graduate to the real menu. The wines we've tried so far were either inexpensive or not bad. For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. After it opened up for a bit it was quite drinkable.

There's two parking garages nearby and street parking. It's also walking distance from the Courthouse Metro stop. I sat at the bartop and my server was named Julia and she was so friendly! I asked her a bit about the menu and I ordered this drink that was kinda like a whiskey sour but I'm blanking on the name. The interior of Verre was nice. It looked like a wine bar, very quiet wasn't too loud despite me going around dinner time. Def a great place for a girls night or date.

And I remembered that Lyon Hall had all day happy hour including a special on oysters. So we put in a reservation and game. We were promptly seated and it wasn't too busy today. My sister-in-law got the French dip sandwich and she liked it but said the dipping sauce was a salty and she likes salty stuff so her saying it was too salty says a lot. My party enjoyed their dishes as well--the presentation looked great, and everyone was pleased. I would come back here for brunch whenever I'm in Arlington.

Cute long and thin restaurant with a gorgeous bar and view into part of the kitchen. It felt relaxed even though they had a good crowd. Attentive, friendly service from our waiter. My eggs benedict satisfied me - prepared just right. The accompanying salad: I always love French salads- they always seem dressed just right and appear so lightly and intentionally constructed. I also ordered the pain perdue French toast. It was light, crisp, tart from the orange and sweet. A very nice accompaniment to the eggs benedict. So, a friend has always been a fan of this place but just hadn't been in many, many years, so she opted to celebrate her birthdate here. For starters, we had the Salad Maison and the La Cachat, which was very appetizing. My friend had the Potato Crusted Salmon, which was my favorite dish that we ordered. It was cooked and flavored perfectly for my taste buds. Another dish that a guest from our party had was sea bass (Loup De Mar), which I also enjoyed. This dish also was big in portion size. My dish was the Steak Frites which was cooked medium, however, it wasn't as juicy or flavorful as I desired. I also took the opportunity to try the Ridoir which was strong yet tasty. Overall, we had a great experience.
