    Grilled Octopus

Pretty solid place with good French options. I wish the French dip had more beef though, it wasn't much meat in there and a lot of bread. The bread however was soft and good quality. The grilled octopus was also pretty good.

I met one of my friends here for brunch over the weekend. We sat outside since I had my pup. We started off with cocktails while we reviewed the menu. An Old Fashioned for my friend and a French 75 for me. My drink was bubbly and refreshing. My friend had never tried Escargots before and even our server recommended it. So we ordered Escargots for an appetizer which were absolutely delicious. Lots of melted cheese and flavor in the dish. My friend enjoyed it more than he thought he would. There was also complimentary bread provided which we used to dip in the sauce. As my main dish, I got the Short Rib Benedict and my friend enjoyed his Lyon Hall Burger. My Benedict had plenty of short rib and it was so tender - so good! Great food and drinks all around. Service was good as well. Cool French restaurant with a large corner space with lots of outdoor and indoor dining.

While we don't go as often as we used to, we did go about a month ago and things are just the same. Good service, good food, and good vibes. It's kind of the neighborhood after work go to for us - a martini and some salad or seafood. Everything is fresh and seasoned well. Not overly salty or too bland. It'll stay in rotation for us when we don't feel like a quick simple sit down meal.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant for my best-friend's birthday brunch. We had reservations for 9 and they were able to accommodate us on the top floor. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! I would go back in a heart beat. EVERYTHING was delicious. Beignets Shrimp Cocktail Short Rib Benedict Quiche French Dip

I went to Lyon Hall for happy hour on a Thursday. We were able to get a high top table without having a reservation. They have good happy hour deals for drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the SJF cocktail, which was kind of like a Moscow mule. We had a soft pretzel with cheese and mustard but it wasn't very good. I would skip the pretzel next time. Plus, I didn't realize that they bring complimentary bread to the table. The bread and butter was really good. We also had the brisket dumplings, and those were tasty. The restaurant has good vibes. It's a cute spot for happy hour, and I would definitely come back.

Came here for my birthday and was so happy I did. If you have a chance to go here, sit outside, it's very beautiful and cozy. My friend and I tried the restaurant week menu and we fell in love with our food. The tuna tartare was delicious and the panna cotta was the perfect cherry on the top. I also got the espresso martini which was decadent. The wait staff was so kind and inviting. Would def come here again!

Hidden gem in Arlington. Near shops and walkable area we stumbled upon. Service was great and all staff friendly and attentive. We shared a beef tartare with nice presentation then I tried the croquette monsieur. The sandwich came with a choice of side and the potato salad was one of the best. On the weekends order the mimosa kit, worth the value to have a few.

Came here last minute with my roommates, as the other restaurant we planned to dine at fell through. I have heard about Lyon Hall, but did not expect it to be as nice and fancy. I for some reason thought it was more of a bar scene, but was nicely surprised. It was restaurant week when we came, so they were offering a $55 3-course meal special. We opted out and just decided to order off the normal menu. I was surprised with how quickly they sat us. The hostess was very nice, however, our server we felt was not as attentive to our table. We went through a majority of our dinner with empty waters. I had a large lunch so I decided not to get an entree, but instead get their tuna tartare and the caesar salad. I was really looking forward to the salad, but unfortunately i did not enjoy it as much as I hope. It was not made with romaine lettuce as I am used to, and it was drenched in dressing to the point where it was a little hard to eat. However, the tuna tartare I could not recommend enough. It was a nice mix of flavors, and was filling.

I came for my birthday brunch and was not disappointed! First of all I love brunching in Arlington, Clarendon, Shirlington, etc, so of course that's the area I chose. The outside of the establishment is not visually appealing, but inside it was very nice! We were seated all the way upstairs at the back of the restaurant, which wasn't a bad thing bc my friends and I can get a lil loud at times! We alllll started with the biggest, one friend got the shrimp cocktail. That shrimp cocktail was SO GOOD! You only got four prawns on ice, but there was something about them that took them over the top. The beginners were perfectly fried! The creme anglaise that accompanied them was chefs kiss perfect! For my meal I got the short rib Benedict. I get short ribs wherever I can find them, they're my favorite! I did ask for my eggs to be fried rather than poached bc I hate runny egg whites, and it was perfection! Everyone enjoyed their food, and we had a great time! Our server was nice and efficient, we had no complaints there! I would def go back again!

Got the roasted chicken roulade and it was delicious. I always love the food at Lyon Hall The ambience is great for a date night or a girls night or a nice night out with family or friends. Highly recommend! Service is wonderful as well.

    Medical boot I am wearing

Not a place for someone that is disabled. I went there for brunch this past Saturday which was raining. There was a puddle in front of the door that I had to walk through wearing a rocking boot (medical device to alleviate stress on foot) on my one foot for pain relief and sandals on the other. My foot was soaked in the sandals. The food and service was good. French toast could use more fruit and whipped cream instead of only on one piece of French toast. I had to use the restroom and didn't want to use the stairs to the basement level so I took the back elevator to the kitchen. I nearly fell. The floor was super slick with grease/oil. One staff person (maybe a manager) said it wasn't grease but humidity. The bottom of the boot had no traction under it and was sliding on the floor. When I left the restroom I didn't want to take a chance of falling so I climbed the stairs back to the main level. The same man came towards me and said he laid a rug down for me. As I was mentioning, I didn't want to take a chance of falling. There was also moisture on the floor in front of the restroom too where my foot with the medical boot was sliding around. If you or someone in your party can't climb up or down the stairs, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Wish I tried this place sooner - best table bread and butter I have EVER TRIED! no exaggeration. Came here on the last day of restaurant week per recommendation from my sister, and tried a number of dishes. Aside from the delicious tableside bread, we tried the grilled octopus and escargot for appetizers. Both were great, very heavy handed with the flavors though. I love the pistachios as part of the escargot. And hefty portion of tender octopus as well - very worth it! The mains were not as impressive, as we ordered the pork schnitzel and filet medallions. Both were decent, but the bed of veggies the schnitzel sat on felt like frozen bagged veggies. And the filets were over salted. We also ordered a side of fried artichoke hearts, which came with a delicious garlic aioli. For dessert, we got the red velvet cake, but it was nothing special. Overall, very impressed by the appetizers, and the ambiance inside is nice as well. Come here for the bread!!

Having looked at 3 or 4 other possibilities for lunch this one wins due to the environment - nice outside patio on two levels with the most shade which is important on a 90 degree day, and the sidewalk tables have some barriers separating them from the pedestrians walking by. Food wise it's not my first choice, however it is for my partner and the environment being my preference it's the best compromise. We had the burger and eggs Benedict, both were pretty good, the home and French fries in particular were well spiced and crispy. If you like to people watch but not in an overwhelming way while you eat I'd highly recommend this place and the street level seating. Price is comparable to restaurants in this area - they automatically include a 20% service charge so a simple lunch for 2 with one drink would easily come to over $70 (even when you don't pick the higher priced items on the menu).

I originally booked Omakase room by Tadayoshi for August 15th dinner at 5:30. To my shock it turned out Omakase room is closed that day but my reservation was still active and I confirmed it as well the day before. My husband wanted to try this Omakase place for a while and I thought the day was perfect for it. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed and I was taken by surprise as I didn't have any alternative plans or reservations. We first spoke with General manager at Boucherie and she kindly offered us to take a look at the menu and see if we wanted to dine there instead. I was very upset that the planned and anticipated reservation didn't work out. I said yes at first because I didn't know what else to do but we got an amazing server Revo who lightened the mood and Manager Michael was very kind to us and understanding. While dinner started not on a great note, it ended up the best outcome we could have had. Everyone we interacted with was kind and great. I would love to come back again but now specifically for Boucherie and in a much better mood. I totally understand that reservation issue is not Boucherie's responsibility and I still don't know how this all happened. But we hey made our anniversary dinner a fanatic experience. Many thanks to them and also to the sommelier. Wine list was great and we received great recommendations. Thank you, Boucherie team for everything, I was ready to start crying at the omakase room after seeing it was closed but now I will be back specifically for you and the great food. We arrived at 7:45 on a Saturday night to see if there was room for two or at least room at the bar. I wish the hostess had told us that we could wait at the bar for a table to open up, as we saw that's what many other patrons did, but she told us there was bar seating and high tops and so my husband and I went on up. We easily had our choice of two seats at the bar or a high top, and we selected a high top. After 5 minutes of no one acknowledging us, my husband and I told each other we would wait two more minutes before we would bail. Right as we were about to jump ship, a server came by and asked if we wanted menus. We said sure but it was just strange that no one greeted us, it was just "you want menus?" Lol. Another server brought us menus and asked if we would like water and a breadbasket. We said yes and after about 15 minutes, bread arrived. We chatted with the server about what drinks we should order; I ordered a French 75 and my husband ordered a special Sazerac. We also ordered the tuna carpoacio. After about 10 minutes, the server came back and to confirm if I wanted the soft side cocktail and if my husband wanted an old fashioned. We said we did not and corrected him. Then, a server tried to give our drinks to the table next to us and our server corrected him and brought steak tartare. And then he goes "oh wait, did you order this?" We said no and he asked if we wanted it because if not he had to throw it away lol. And then 5 seconds later, the tuna came. Both the tuna carpaccio and the steak tartare were delicious. But this was the entire evening: we ordered something, something else came. I ordered a glass of sparkling rose, and an espresso martini appeared on the house. We had to ask for our bill twice and when we got our bill, it was definitely someone else's. Finally, as we were preparing to go, the original server comes back and goes "here's your espresso martini." Like bro we asked you originally for the check and we are clearly leaving. Luckily, my husband and I had plenty of time before our show, it was a great atmosphere, and the food was super delicious. It was just such a comically bizarre experience and I feel like they are definitely losing money. I think we paid for half of what we ate and drank and probably ate and drank other people's food! Maybe we will go back? Maybe not lol

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. What I'll remember most, though, is how genuinely cared for I felt. Before we left, Antonio stopped by one last time to make sure I was happy with my meal and that all of my needs had been met. My husband had put so much love and intention into choosing this restaurant, and thanks to Emma and Antonio, we both left with happy hearts and full bellies. If you have food intolerances or dietary restrictions, I hope this review gives you confidence to visit Ambar. Their team didn't just accommodate my needs. Additionally, when I returned back for my 7pm reservation, she told me "something happened" in the system & I would have to wait 45 mimutes. I asked was my reservation not in the system already since she rudely insisted that I make a reservation in advance. She said they were at capacity, but she still did not give a clear answer as to why my reservation was not in the system already. So I waited 45 minutes & an additional 5 to be seated. Upon being seated and set to finally place my order, I am being told that the oysters and the frozen cocktail are out for the day, at 8pm.... I had other friends coming far away thinking they would have the oysters & cocktail specials for National Oysters Day; one friend was coming 40 minutes away (from further out MD) & the other coming 26 minutes. Imagine if I wouldn't have contacted them immediately to let them know that the special we wanted ran out. They would have wasted their time coming far away for nothing. I am IMMENSELY & deeply disappointed in the rude service, lack of professionalism, and lack of communication with this establishment. I shouldn't have to wait until I am all seated to find out items ran out, especially for an "All Day" special. I waited an hour for absolutely nothing. I cleared my evening, thinking I would have a great time celebrating National Oysters Day, for nothing. Whole evening gone & time was wasted, left on an empty stomach. The AVAL French Cider's Rosé was perfect. It was a crisp, semi-dry cider that paired well with the food we ordered. GOUGÈRES - 11 I initially thought the sauce was paprika butter, but it's actually the most airy cream cheese I've ever tasted. It's essential with the Gruyère cheese puffs, which were light and fluffy with a subtle cheesiness. BŒUF BOURGUIGNON - 23 The burger was incredibly stacked, standing mighty and tall. Sadly, the bottom patty was pretty soggy from all the sauce and grease, so I had to tackle it with a fork and knife. There was a generous amount of short rib, which was tender and flavorful. I appreciated the caramelized onion and smoked bacon, which added a bit of sweetness to balance the rich and savory flavors. Overall, it was a solid, filling, and satisfying burger. FRITES AU FROMAGE - 10 The fries were fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. I did enjoy the fries being drenched with the Gruyère fondue, but the cheese quickly solidified. I wish there were a way to keep the cheese soft and melty. LBV has been on my list for a couple months after one of my friends raved about it. After I told her what I ordered last week, she informed me that their Gazpacho Vert and Choux à la Mango are absolute must-orders. I guess I'll have to go again!

Interesting 'french' cafe/burger restaurant in Georgetown area. Overall glad I went but may or may…read morenot be back. Probably will only visit again if I'm craving a good burger and a beer. Got in on a random Sunday. There was a like out the door but within 5 minutes my party had a seat at the bar in the back. The bartender was a short, buff dark haired man. He was prompt in greeting us and getting the drinks out. 2 mimosas and 1 aperol spritz. They were fine. The burgers were excellent. Solid, slightly greasy and kinda small. Make sure to get an app or have someone in the party get a chicken sandwich (huge). The fish sandwich was tiny so the saving grace was half the chicken sandwich which a girl in our group couldn't finish. Lastly, the AC was struggling to keep up since the place was packed in the July summer. Overall a cute and cozy 'french' spot but not sure how authentic it is per my wife
