I threw a Hail Mary via yelp in the Projects section and one company ignored me altogether while another flat out told me they couldn't help me. Not only did Marcos answer me very quickly on Yelp, he kept me updated on the entire process every step of the way with phone calls and text messages. I was assured they were very familiar with the 6.0 engines, which was exactly what I needed. These guys even brought their flat bed all the way to Espanola to pick up the vehicle at a very reasonable price as it wasn't in running condition at the time. The truck was done in only 3 days, and that was even with having to get a part shipped in. The overall cost was fair, in fact it was great, and you can tell these guys love their work and have a great deal of interest in these trucks. They honored some of my additional requests as well. I'll be taking my Ford to them any time I'm in need of work and would highly recommend them for any vehicle. It is now one week later and my truck is running great, I'm very happy with their work.

We barely got pulled off to the side of the road (no shoulder) while pulling our camper and side x sides. I called a couple places and no one nearby could help, called a tow company and they appeared helpful however after an hour we still did not know if or when they would come. One of the places I called advised us to call A 1 Automatics, who was both a tow company and a transmission shop. They were an hour and a half away in Trinidad, Co. By this time we knew it was our torque converter, fly wheel, and hopefully little else. I'm bad with names however I called and believe I spoke with the owner who asked a few questions and was on his way. Friends who had arrived before us came out and got our camper and toys for us, moving them to our campground. A 1 Automatics took the truck to Trinidad , he understood we needed the truck to get us home the following Friday. I canceled the other tow company who said they had someone on the way, however failed to let us know, and interestingly no one saw another tow truck. Transmission work is never cheap however they let us know what needed to be done and what didn't, as well as the cost. They used better quality parts and had us up and running for less money than we thought and by the following Thursday morning. We had absolutely no issues during the 10 hour trip back home. My husband and I truly appreciate these folks getting us in, taking care of us in a timely manner, and at a fair price. If your in the Trinidad Co., area and have trouble these are the guys to call.

On Monday, Leonard listened with empathy to my tale of woe, and offered to help when he could, even with a multi-week backlog. Thank goodness there were multiple cancellations that day. Leonard and his team were able to diagnose a complicated problem that required several hours to repair. He communicated constantly with me, while we worried how much longer we would have to stay in Santa Fe. Leonard and his team completed the repair the next day, and we were able to drive home. Not only did Amy and Annie do everything possible to get me in and out before my ETD, they were both warm and funny and authentically welcoming. Ari and his team are knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate. While handling my tune up they found and resolved many issues for me, and alerted me to additional issues that might wait until after I return. Ari took the time to go over in detail, with both photos and drawings, everything that they discovered, and how they fixed the most pressing problems. They even popped my rear bumper back into shape where someone had caught the edge. Ari was keenly present and patient while reporting his findings. He answered all my questions and made helpful suggestions regarding what might be the next priortiy to address when I am ready. I walked away smiling, feeling like I received so much for a super reasonable final bill. I am beyond impressed. Little did i know that Ari thoroughly ripped me off. He initially told me via text that my bill for the work would be $1100 plus tax but when i arrived to collect my vehicle, the price was more: $1587.51 Ari explained that my van needed new software for the electric engine and of course Chryslar charged for the software but having called the dealership after, I learned that Chryslar didn't charge anything for new software, Ari charged me $495 for software and charged me for labor (an hour) which normally takes 15-20 seconds to upload. He told me that he had to replace the electrical harness to replace the broken hood latch switch. If I had the foresight to order the hood light switch on Amazon, it would have cost $35.00, Ari charged me $225.00 for this item. After paying for service, I noticed that even though supposedly doing a overall performance check, ($75) they didn't bother to air up one of my tires, leaving me in a lurch and having to get it done somewhere else. At the performance review, Ari explained the repairs still needed on my vehicle, these included two new tires, a tuneup, allignment, replacing the spark plugs and other maintenance stuff. Of course, Ari and his technicians could do all of these repairs. He said that spark plugs would cost $400. When I looked them up on Amazon, they were priced at $99.00. I won't take him up on his offer to do the work on my vehicle. Thank goodness, I didn't make another appointment with Ari! Don't read any of the positive reviews, they were written by owner Ari. If you notice, the positive reviews are only a paragraph in length, whereas the negative ones are longer to include all of the complaints. I noticed advertisements for Master Tech in our local newspaper. How many mechanics need to advertise their services? Only the ones that have alienated previous clients, only the ones that are beginning to see their over charging finally costing them their reputations. Santa Fe is a "word of mouth" town, Ari 's karma is finally catching up to him and unfortunately, to the rest of the technicians that work at his garage. I told my friend that he needs to find another job. Even though I had to pay through the teeth, and I felt like I had been scammed, the garage fixed my car. It really was a win/win.
