Scammers, hired them to install exhaust for bathroom and home humidifier for HVAC. Paid 400$ for each exhaust i.e total 800$ for 2 exhaust. Also paid $800 for humidifier. Toral $1600. Edwin claims to be the owner of the company came himself and did the work. He could not complete the work on the same day and mentioned that he need to get some extra material and he would come next day. He took the full money with a promise he would come back. It's been 2 weeks now, I tried to call everyday and left messages. He is not responding to my calls. Do NOT use this company !!!!! I paid $299 to have the ducts cleaned a week ago because of noises coming from them. The noises are worse and there is dust all over my bedroom. I have tried to reach them by phone at least 5 times to call me and have had no return phone call. I am a senior and resent the way I am being treated. You took my money and the problem is worse. Scammers! Do not use them! I reached out to have a bird guard installed. The technician arrived, I gave him the bird guard. The ladder he brought didn't reach to the bird guard. He said that's no problem he will go get a taller one. I had to leave for work and could wait until the job was done to pay so I gave him the agreed amount of $100 cash upfront. He said he will install the bird guard and send me a picture. He did not send anything. I came back but nothing was installed. I reached out to the technician, he said the other ladder was not tall enough and they need to get a new one and now the price will be $189. I said that they saw what was needed to be done and was quoted already. But I understand them as well and offered $150. I reached out to the office they agreed to do the job for $150 and scheduled the job again. The day passed and nothing was done. I texted the technician- zero response. I texted the office, called the office, left the voicemail- zero response. For several days I tried to reach them. Then I called from another phone number and they picked up the phone just fine. They said they will zelle me back the $100 I paid and bring the bird guard back. Day passed and I did not get anything. I am so upset and disappointed. This not the way to do business. read more

It's been 2 months ago and I haven't received my money back from a $40. overcharge. "We should be able to return your call within an hour," is what is written on the company's profile ... Not True! I have up-until a couple of weeks ago received a bill saying, I owe this company money when actually, the owner, Edwin owes me $40. and haven't paid me. "Professional," was one of the descriptions that was placed on this company's profile; yesterday, I texted whomever it was behind the number and was greeted with non-business like texts that should be very shameful for the owner to see. Customer Service is the root to any company and when a company stay small and not grow or close it's doors it shouldn't be a surprise for that to happen. If your word as an owner to your customers doesn't mean anything than why should the customers continue supporting you? We just had service today with Northwest Air Duct and this is the second year we have used them. They were great the first time which was last year and just as outstanding again this year. I should have read the reviews before ordering for a air duct cleaning. They show up for the first time, do not complete the job, share some pictures to pretend they did work, got the payment complete via Zelle and left the place. When someone inspected the place, it was told that air ducts and dryer vents are not cleaned. Picked up the first call after i found out the work is not done and scheduled an appointment to show up but didnt happened forever. They never pick up the call once he knew that we found out the work undone. After leaving this review when i called, someone picked the call and said the appointment schedule was just a courtesy and they can cancel without informing to the customer as they are getting more than 60 calls per day and busy in reading Yelp reviews. Also added that the people living in the property are paranoid and they dont have time to deal with paranoid. How someone can be so nice until they are paid and be rude to if we questions about the incomplete job. read more

I would 1000% highly recommend Northwest Air Duct. I found them via a search on Thumbtack. The owner, Andrew responded within minutes. I own dog daycares and you can imagine the amount of dog hair that builds up. Andrew promptly schedule JR to come out to both my locations the following day. I received text alerts confirming my appointment. The day of service I received an alert when JR was en route. After my first location was finished, JR sent photos and followed up with a phone call. He explained what he had done and also saved me a ton of money due to the fact that I thought I needed to replace my dryer (he figured out the simple issue causing the problem and fixed it at no extra cost). After he finished my second location, same follow up quality customer service. Both Andrew and JR were both super approachable, friendly, reassuring and very easy to work with. I initially hired Northwest to perform a dryer vent cleaning, but was up-sold to include a full HVAC vent cleaning for $259 total. In short, the dryer vent blockage was made WORSE by their cleaning attempts and they refused to take accountability or offer any sort of a refund. Here is a summary of the events in more detail: 10/20: Technician comes onsite to do the work, proclaims "job done" and I pay in-full for the services. The very next time I use my brand new dryer, it shuts off after 10 minutes due to a vent blockage. After being told that the job was completed successfully, I could only assume there was an issue with the appliance itself. This led me to scheduling an appliance technician to come out to evaluate my dryer. 10/24: The appliance technician immediately determined my dryer was functioning properly and pointed out easily visible blockages in my vents. He also pointed out that the outside vent covers were not replaced and found them on the ground. The dryer's error code indicated that my vents were MORE blocked than they were before the "cleaning" on 10/20 10/25: After repeated voicemails, emails, and a Thumbtack message, I was able to get a hold of Northwest and they sent the same technician back to my home. He spent more time attempting to clean the vent, but this time told me that he was unable to clear the blockages and would have to have his manager come and try 10/27: The original technician and the manager came to my home, spent more time attempting to clear the blockages, and were ultimately unsuccessful. I was told that my dryer vents had 2-3 (or more) 90 degree turns which is where the blockages are occurring and makes it impossible for them to clean, and that my recourse may be to cut into the walls/ceilings to re-attempt cleaning or reroute the vent. I was not offered any refund or referrals. I was also promised a list of the equipment and techniques used so that I could share that information with the next company I hire. This information was never provided. 11/4: After all of this time being unable to use my dryer, I hired a different company to come and clean the vents. They quickly cleared the blockages without issue. They told me there was only a single 90 degree turn in my venting, the major blockage was within 10 feet of the outside vent cover and was NOT in the 90 degree turn, and they found a broken-off piece of cleaning equipment (either left by Northwest or missed by them) in my vents which further added to my blockage. This is obviously in direct conflict with what Northwest told me and extremely negligent. 11/8: Since informing the manager of these developments on 11/4, I did not receive a response until I sent another message on 11/8. That response contained nothing but excuses and deflections, including that I wasn't guaranteed the cleaning would be effective. Needless to say, I had a horrible experience and would recommend finding a different company to hire for your vent cleaning needs. read more

I was very impressed with the timeliness and thoroughness of our technician. Zack made it here despite the snow and cleaned the dryer vent and in so doing recognized that something was amiss. He climbed into my garage attic and saw that the hose had come loose and he remedied the problem. Highly recommend. read more

Our condo had clogged dryer ducts and backup of warm moisture. Northwest came and cleaned them. But that did not solve the problem. I made many email attempts to reach them (Edgar) but he never responded. I contacted their mediator (Thumbtack). Edgar first said he would return and finish the job - but never did. I had Northwest ADC come out to my house. Their description on Yelp was helpful in making my decision much easier. Their office responded to my message very quickly. The technician explained exactly what he was going to do and showed me pictures of the dirt and dust from the vents. He did an awesome job with the dreyer he cleaned it out and went above and beyond to repair a few holes in the dreyer vent hose. Very friendly. They're running a February sale which was perfect timing. I would definitely use them again. read more

I was very pleased with this service. Zach, the technician called before arrival and kept me abreast of what he was doing and why.

Where do I begin? Hired them based on their reviews, all perfect which should have been a red flag. Tech came out (Robert) who explained everything to me. So far so good. I went to work right after he was done and he showed me the so called "After" pictures, felt a bit pressured when he pointed out how to give him a tip at the end of the job as well. Got home after midnight so didn't check the so called completed job until the morning,. Unbelievable what I found. Vent registers all put on backwards or upside down, screws missing from them and other screws but in crooked damaging the drywall. Big mess in the utility room where the dryer was never pushed all the way in back where it was with dust and lint all over. Looked behind the dryer and saw the crushed dryer vent hose hanging half way on the dyer. Unbelievable. I called and left messages with no return calls and fina!ly got a hold of Cassandra who sounded like she was going to make things right, made an appointment for a tech to come out again, waited and no call/no show! Emailed and of course no replys. Out $300.00 for a job not completed, kicker was looking at the pictures on their website and realizing a couple of the after pictures were from other jobs they did and not Mine !!! Stay clear of this place, I will be pursuing this down other avenues. read more
