He came back and did the work. three years later, the furnace died, (not Falcon's fault), and an electrician came out to check the work of the company replacing it. He told me the outlet was the wrong kind and would not pass an inspection. They had to fix it so it would pass when the furnace was inspected. Not so cool.

They offered to replace + install it for basically an additional $289. That's ridiculously expensive. Mr Electric quoted me $80/hr (+ offered that info to me without me asking). Falcon Electric did not offer me a quote but they did fit me in same day. Lesson learned.

He advised they service the Portland area by appointment. I asked if it would be possible to schedule an appointment while I was in town. He was accommodating and worked with my schedule. Nate (technician) showed up during the scheduled window. In fact, he was 30 minutes early. After an hour or so, Nate identified the cause of the problem. He had a suggestion on how to remedy the problem, but advised he wanted to confer with Jason. I received a call the following day from Jason with a quote that I felt was very reasonable. Unfortunately, the end result is pretty rough due to a choice in materials that ultimately comes down to saving himself about 50 bucks by choosing very low-grade plywood instead of a higher-grade smooth version. (They didn't use finish nails either) Lesson learned to supply my own materials, but it seems he could have communicated the options to me, especially after I supplied some of the other materials that were supposed to be included in the quote. The job was done quickly and I can fix it but I wouldn't hire this contractor to do any finish work.

I waited 10 days with no word back on the email from either Dan or the receptionist who I cc'd. So, I called back again and spoke to Chad. Chad, once again said he would let Dan know to get in touch with me. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to about my experience and Chad informed me there wasn't technically a manager, but Dan was a co-owner and he would be the person to take this up with. The problem is I can never get ahold of Dan... I asked if I could talk to the other owner, Robert, and Chad said no and that he could not give his info out. As a business owner myself, the problem is obvious: broken systems of follow-up and communication + bad customer service. As a loyal client of this company I gave them multiple opportunities to at the very least respond back. Chad mentioned one of the reasons Dan may not have gotten back was because he may not have been interested in the job. I would have really liked to know that so I didn't waste so much time!
