Great breakfast and waitress . Fun place cash only. Sausage looked great at next table

Must Go! If you are looking to stay out of run of the mill breakfast places. Small little neighborhood diner, not a lot of room but that was not a problem. Good prices and very good food including portions. Extremely happy with our choice this morning, they will make whatever you want however you want it.

2 eggs over easy, home fries, sausage & toast

Good filling basic breakfast options. Small place about 20 seats. Priced well for diner style food. Great friendly service from the one waitress in the place. It's a locals joint because she knew most by name. She asked me if I was just "passing thru" - and I was, I thought that was charming. The coffee was bitter but expected-Your not at Starbucks. I got a coffee, 2 eggs, homefries, sausage & toast for under $8. I cleaned my plate. Only (teeny tiny) complaint: I sat down at 8:54 but by the time the waitress came to take my order it was 9:06 so I didn't get the "before 9am" specials price.

    Eggs and steak tips :)

This place was pretty good. The service was very friendly and warm. Our waiter was trying to speak French, Spanish and English to us, which I found pretty funny. I ordered coffee (very fresh) and eggs with steak tips. I asked for the eggs to be over median so the whites could be cooked but that didn't happen. The steak and the homes fries didn't have much flavor. I also ordered the French toast. It was cooked perfectly. I gave it three stars because the staff, coffee, and French toast was great. Also this place is cash only and it can get pretty crowded because it's small so plan accordingly!!

Completely dry no taste at all complete disappointment

I have to be honest my first visit to this Diner was absolutely amazing now that I have visited for the third time I am completely disappointed. The sandwich is completely dry has a notice regardless of the fact that I did order salt and pepper on my steak no taste at all

This diner looks simple, but the food is great, and the service is warm and friendly. I guess that's why it appears they have a lot of regulars here. Nice varied menu, delicious food, and great coffee. Have pics. This place looks simple, but it's a hidden gem. Simple, delish.

I got an egg white omelet with spinach, mushroom, ham, Turkey sausage, cheese. An order of pumpkin French toast.

It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza

Y'all gotta get a better jalapeno cheese or add a real jalapeno to it. The other issue was, the smashed potatoes were inconsistent due to the salt content. However, everything else ordered was very good. By the way. Met the manager. Her name is Ms. Abigail. Talk about accommodatingly awesome! PATTY MELT REVIEW…read more Iconic diner on the edge of Chinatown, a couple blocks east of the Expressway. It's been around for decades and it's open 24/7. More of an authentic this-place-has-aged feel than the typical diner attempt to evoke an earlier era. Went in the morning and went for a patty melt-- because I could. It's too elusive these days, so being able to not only find one but have it at breakfast, a double win. Double patty is standard, not an add-on, and fries (probably frozen, but lengthy, crisp and fluffy) are included. No onions, no rye, but lettuce and tomato-- a non-traditional configuration. Nicely browned patties that had juiciness. The ingredients weren't anything to write home about, but the execution was great all around and so was the cheerful service from a seasoned veteran. Sure, I've had better with the proper rye, griddled onions, and higher quality beef, but an easy 4 stars for the execution, value, vibe, and being able to even order a patty melt before 10 in the morning. Bonus points for a plastic ketchup squeeze bottle that was slightly warm. Breakfast items (eggs, crispy home fries, and pancakes) on a neighboring table looked good.

South Street Diner was one of the few places open that early, so I decided to give it a try. Parking was easy at that hour, and I thought it was kind of cool seeing a classic diner tucked in among all the large office buildings downtown. I was in the mood for pancakes and ended up ordering the diner special with eggs over medium, home fries, corned beef hash, bacon, and pancakes. Unfortunately, the food was mostly average to below average. The eggs were a little underdone, the home fries were slightly overcooked in spots, and the toast was pretty standard diner fare. The homemade salsa was actually a nice touch and added some flavor to the potatoes. The biggest disappointment was the corned beef hash. I was hoping for something homemade, but it reminded me of the canned version I grew up eating. The texture and flavor just weren't for me, and I ended up leaving most of it behind. The pancakes were okay but a little dense and doughy, nothing particularly memorable. On the positive side, the coffee was decent, the service was fine, and being open early is definitely a plus for travelers. Overall, I'd put this one close to 3 stars. It's convenient if you need breakfast before sunrise, but the food didn't quite live up to what I was hoping for.

The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.
