I have a strong appreciation for Nothing Bundt Cakes. Every single one of the cakes I have tried is delicious. They're, moist, and soft, and fluffy and everything you would want in a cake. My family loves nothing Bundt cakes but the server at this location could not have been more rude. My server's name was Iris C. Every time I asked for a mini cake she would roll her eyes and scoff at me. She also purposefully dropped all of my mini cakes on the counter as I was checking out. Honestly, I have never been treated more rudely at any establishment. I'm extremely disappointed and hope that she will not treat anyone else with her selfish attitude. This place is amazing. I don't remember how I found it--I think there was a coupon involved, but I was hooked from the first bite of the sample platter. There is always a generous supply of samples on display so you can taste the deliciousness immediately. They only make bundt cakes, per the name, but the cakes are available in many flavors and from cupcake-sized to individual "Bundtlets" to full cakes of various sizes and tiers. The quality is top-notch and the flavors are fantastic. They are very rich. I find one Bundtlet is the perfect dessert for two people. The cakes come very nicely packaged and make wonderful gifts, if you can restrain yourself long enough to get them to the recipient uneaten. I agree with the many other reviewers that these are the perfect mix of cake, filling, and frosting. The cakes I have purchased have always been very fresh. It's really hard to say more--these are perfection. My favorite is the White Chocolate Raspberry. I really want to give NBC a 5-star rating. Here's what's holding me back: their big-size cakes are GREAT--moist and flavorful! We get them for the office pretty much anytime there is a reason at work. BUT...sometimes on the weekend I get a small one (a bundlet) for myself. I've had at least half a dozen by now. They are always dryer than the big-size cakes are. I assume that they adjusted the cooking time and temp and/or ingredients from the big-size cakes, and something just isn't quite right in translation. It's a cute little shop and I didn't have any problem finding parking right out front. I went home and took the first bite of this baby and I couldn't get enough! In under 5 minutes I experienced confusion, excitement, bliss, sadness and disappointment. It was a wave of emotions I've never experienced with a cake before. I was confused because how could a cake be this divine? I was sad and disappointed because I had finished the cake and there was no more cake to be eaten. I do not like overly sweet cakes, and this cake has the perfect balance of frosting and cake. I was literally googling the closest NBC shop near me within seconds of putting my fork down, and this Colorado Blvd location is it. This is actually a perfect gift too. I have come here for clients anniversary gifts, birthdays or a simple thank you gift. You can call ahead (which I highly recommend for the Holiday season because it gets crazy busy). You can also get a cake without the frosting. The best part is they have samples of their latest flavors out. The service is also great, the ladies working here are always pleasant and patient with everyone putting in their orders and asking questions. This place is the best. Still my all time favorite flavor is the chocolate chocolate chip, then there's the white chocolate rasberry and in third place would be red velvet. If they made me a bed out of this cake, I would have nothing but the sweetest, most delicious dreams. It's not THAT crazy that I actually want my bed to made out of this stuff, is it? I heard of it because I've gotten some coupons in the mail, and boy am I glad I went to check it out. They were offering samples of the red velvet cake, which were moist and really good. We ended up getting 2 bundtlets- chocolate chocolate chip and white chocolate raspberry. They are pretty sizable on their own- I would say in terms of "right" portions, 1 of those could be perfect for 2 people. Pigs we are, we each basically had our own. And for good reason! The chocolate was awesome, but I think I loved the white chocolate raspberry even more. It was reminiscent of cheesecake, perhaps the frosting is made with cream cheese? Whatever it was, it made it for me. While I could gorge on another cake, I'm glad I didn't get more. It would be dangerous to have another sitting around within my reach...
