She was so lovely and easy to work with and even did a quick few day turn around for us so we could do a little gender reveal with our immediate family at Thanksgiving. I hired Jill to put together a dessert table for our wedding. I opted to go with the full service and have her design the table as well as cater the desserts themselves. I tried 5 different bakeries and she won hands down. Her mini pies and cupcakes are to die for. She also created a naked strawberries and cream cake that was divine! She plated the desserts beautifully and the overall design of the table came out exactly how I wanted it. People were raving about the desserts. Jill is an absolute gem! Not only are her baked goods divine, but she is amazingly sweet and accommodating. My husband and I have had her cater her yummy goodies at several of our personal parties, and he has now started hiring her and her dessert bar for his company business. We find her professional and her turn around time can be quick if need be. MUST HAVES: -Strawberry Cupcakes with Buttercream are moist, not too sweet, and surprisingly light. I don't know how she gets the crumb so tender, and the buttercream. Seriously, I don't like icing, and I could eat her buttercream by the bucket full. -Butterscotch Cookies. I know, butterscotch can be over the top, right? But Jill makes it work, and again, its never too sweet. I don't know how she is able to get that perfect balance of sweet, but I guess thats what makes her a pro. -Turtle Bars. My husband is addicted to these. They are chocolate covered caramel over this tender shortbread like cookie. Its like I am eating crack covered in chocolate. CRACK YALL! -Pies. PIES! Seriously. I'm sorry Jill, but these are heavenly and probably the best thing in the world that you make. Her berry pies (seasonally made) are jammy and delicious with the flakiest, butteriest crust. HOW DO YOU DO IT? If you saw or ate my pies, you would never know I am southern. Seriously. And somehow hers are PERFECTION. If you are looking for the rustic, homemade treats that your mama made (or your friends mama, if your mama, like mine, didn't bake), Jill is your girl. She somehow makes it adorable and delicious. My husband and I love pie, and so for our wedding we decided to serve pie instead of cake. Serving pie and hiring Jill were the best decisions ever! Jill made 5 different flavors of pie (classic blueberry (our fave), dutch apple, cherry, chocolate french silk, and this amazing sort of inside-out lemon meringue where the meringue is baked and crispy on the bottom and the lemon goes on top-sooo yummy!), plus a few different kinds of bars... We also tasked her with designing the dessert table and backdrop. She knocked it out of the park on all fronts!! We had a beautiful garland running across the mantle of a fireplace, along with custom-painted crates for the pie display to give the table more interest... The result was absolutely stunning! Not to mention that the pie was so tasty that my husband ate THREE pieces of pie while we were at the reception (and we took a little to-go box as well). Absolutely fantastic!! Jill provided our dessert bar for our wedding is it was literally the best thing about the wedding. From first contact, Jill was extremely easy to work with. We tasted a few of her special treats before the wedding. She was quick to respond to all our questions. The set up of the dessert bar was beautiful and on-time. While I did not get to enjoy her incredible baking talents (due to my gluten intolerance), I can guarantee she'd be a delight to work with if you're looking to hire her as your dessert bar expert.
