Products and store are really cute. Aesthetic of the space is very pleasant....BUT staff are absolutely awful. Visited yesterday to grab some treats and were so excited. As soon as we step in we notice no one in the front but began to admire the store and look and the cooler case for flavor choices. Finally someone came in and she didn't greet us at all she was slamming things throughout the store. Slamming very loudly and even her cash register with the money slapping around and she seemed very ANGRY. I tried asking questions about flavors and before I finished my sentences she would answer bluntly and annoyed at my simple questions. We almost left because we felt so disgusted by her behavior but my husband urged me to try something and not let her terrible service let it stop me from enjoying a new flavor. Ambiance was shattered by her behavior and it took a lot for us to be pleasant and not ask to speak to a manager. The slamming of cash register, cooler doors, and boxes was just enough for me to never go back again. I rather drive to palos verdes, Los Angeles then drive 5 minutes to receive treatment like that. This place is located two doors away from Party City. It's a small location that highlights the Bundt cakes. As we entered an associate said they were sampling lemon flavor. My husband, two daughters and I gladly sampled. It was delicious! We chose some flavors to sample at home; 1 carrot, 2 chocolate chocolate, 1 marble, 1 confetti, 1 red velvet, and of course, 1 lemon! All of those were about $32 (with discount). We asked how much time in advance is suggested when ordering for a special occasion. It was anywhere from 20 minutes to later that day. When we were ready to pay we were asked if we were military or teachers. My husband is a teacher so we got a discount! We also got asked if we wanted a stamp card; every 10 bundtlets will get you a free one! Lastly, we were given a coupon to get a free bundtlet with our next purchase of a bundtlet. Wow! The cakes were so moist with just the right blend of sweet on the cakes and from the staff! They made my experience pleasant. They listened to my needs regarding the amount of people going to try he party and helped me determine how many cupcakes i needed. My wife and I love NBC, but the experience we had was not the usual NBC experience. We just moved to Menifee from San Diego and were excited to get our Bday Bundtlets. We also have a free bundtlet coupon, but according to the GSR, they don't accept coupons at their store because it's under different ownership. She also mentioned that we had to be signed up at their store to get a birthday bundtlet. At this point, I think she personally finds pleasure in saying no. I jokingly said, "I'll drive 1hr to get a bundtlet, no problem." We kept our cool and just decided to purchase. Another lady helped us, and she mentioned that we could use our birthday bundle coupon, but at this point, we just wanted to purchase and leave. The lady with the red hair was on a power trip. First and last time I come here. I ordered online came with my order number and printed receipt. She asked for my id and I mentioned I didn't bring it. She then asked for my social media to verify identity which is ridiculous. She didn't need my id she just wanted to get her way. I was told by the cashier Angelina that they don't decorate cakes after a certain time when I arrived before 6:45 and I have been a client since before this Menifee store opened and have always recommended Nothing Bundt Cake, but I will not be recommending the Menifee location after this. I drove an hour to be told "sorry, you have to preorder" by Heather the manager. They had 1 customer come in while I was there with three employees. They typically take less than 10 minutes to decorate a cake in the first place. Very disappointing! I work in retail, clearly they need to change business hours if they are not able to accommodate the customers needs! We used this location a few times now. The most recent visit we got 8 mini cakes for a birthday. As we picked them up we noticed one was barely 2/3 of the cup full. A lot smaller than the others. My first time being hooked was when my love and I went to NBC in Temecula a few months ago to pick up a cake for my brother's birthday. They offer bite size samplers when you first walk in. And that's all it took! I knew that NBC was going to be the go to cake spot from now on! I visited this location in Menifee on Friday May 26, around noon, my husband and I bought a red velvet cake for my son. I noticed right away that as soon as my husband and I walked through the door the young lady behind the counter made a face of disappointment, either way we place our order and thank her. Once we got home the worse part happened, as we cut the cake there was an Advil or some sort of pill in the cake, I get cutting away to see if there was anymore. Not sure if this was done intentionally by the baker or someone was doing just as a joke, either way we did not want to take any chances and had to toss it. We are not looking to get anything out of this just simply make you all aware. Terrible experience at this location. Went inside to pick up a cake under my step dad's name and the manager asked for my ID said it didn't have to be his but needed a picture with it, which is fine, Went back to the car to grab it. Came back and the customer in front of me received her cakes without ID or recoding her information. When it was my turn, the manager again asked for my information and recorded my DL #. If you're going to ask/demand something then it should be for EVERYONE not when you feel like it or by case purposes. Well, it's almost a five star rating because I don't really care for the icing but the chocolate chocolate chip cake was so so good. We got a 8 inch cake that cost $27 and we ate up the whole cake that same night. Our tradition is if we don't finish a cake we can the rest but the size we ordered from here was perfect and so delicious and people went for seconds. The chocolate cake had chocolate chips and was extremely moist and sweetness was on point. You don't get that gross out feeling when cake is too sweet. This particular cake flavor is so good we are afraid to try the other flavors but I'm curious and want to venture out. Today I went back to the store and bought their $5 cake (chocolate chocolate chip). Next time I will buy that again and one other one.
