About 7 months ago we moved to Menifee, and this was our third order from this location since moving here. As always, the cakes we received were delicious. However, at our birthday party that evening, when I opened the custom box of buntinis we ordered, I discovered that there had been a mix-up and they had given me the wrong order. The party was already underway and it was late evening, so we consumed what we received. The next day I returned to the shop and told the young lady that came out to help me that I needed to speak to a manager. And that was how I met Carrie T, the store manager. I showed her a copy of my order and a list of what I actually received (with photos). She looked the order up, and confirmed it had been properly entered. We concluded that there had been an error in the packing process, and my order number had been affixed to the wrong box. Mistakes happen in even the most proficient operations. It is how you DEAL with these errors that distinguishes the best places to shop. Carrie gave me a complementary pumpkin spice Bundlet, placed a credit (good for 12 months) on my account, and thanked me for taking the time to return and let her know. That information, along with my documentation, was something she could share with her employees as a learning exercise to help prevent similar errors in the future.
