I have never ever had issues with this location before, it is literally the only place we use to order cakes for birthdays and all our special occasions. We have remained loyal for the past decade due to the quick turnaround and the convenience of their mobile ordering. I ordered two cakes at once (graduation and a birthday) plus put specific notes for one cake to not have chocolate or fudge decorations. I was called a couple days prior saying that they did not have the ice cream to make one of the cakes so I switched to another flavor, no issue. The day of pick up (I went in TWO hours later) due to a mix up in my schedule and only ONE cake was done. The graduation one that I requested no chocolate/fudge on indeed had fudge on it and the one girl working wasn't able to scrape it off and pipe blue icing because she said she didn't have the cake decorating skills for it. Although she was a very sweet girl and offered to switch it out for another cake in the freezer, we declined because of the specific cake/ice cream combo we ordered. I'm a little baffled by this because 1) you probably should have a cake decorator on schedule especially during such a busy season and 2) when I worked at BR back in the day, we were ALL trained to build cakes and decorate them. In conclusion, I had to bring my entire family into the store to wait for an additional 20ish minutes while she put together our second cake (which was a cake in the box that required no decorating) and although she was very apologetic, this has been the first time in 10 years I have been disappointed in this establishment and it makes me sad. read more

I just had to share how wonderful our experience was at the Baskin Robbins in Murrieta, especially thanks to Julie! From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with such genuine warmth and made us feel right at home. The shop was spotless, inviting, and had such a great vibe. I came in hoping to get a custom Minecraft cake for my son's birthday. I wasn't sure they'd be able to do it, but Julie not only said yes, she absolutely nailed it! She took the idea and added her own creative flair, and the final result was perfect. My son couldn't stop smiling. We were so happy with how it turned out that I also want to share the custom butterfly cake Julie made for my daughter's birthday. Ordered a custom cake on Friday to pickup on Sunday morning. When I arrived, my cake wasn't ready because they thought it was for the next day. They told me to come back in 2 hours. I was fuming... but after 2 hours they personally called and apologized along a giving me free ice cream. That personal call along with free ice cream definitely calmed my nerves. This establishment reminded me of a Disneyland shop, due to its cleanliness and decorum, along with its bright lights! Not only that, the staff is very kind and they give a large amount of ice cream, whether that be on a cone or in a cup. Plenty of flavors to choose; from their classic to seasonal option ice creams. We always get the rocky road, mint, snickers and cheese cake. This evening we tried their pumpkin sundae. It was amazingly delightful. My family enjoys Baskin-Robbins at this location about once a week. I LOVE ICE CREAM! This location is solid. Clean tables, clean floors, clean bathroom. The kids behind the counter are always nice and typically give generous servings which is always appreciated. They no longer serve the gourmet popcorn but that's ok in my book. Never tried it but it was too complicated, too many flavors. It's just popcorn! I also never saw anyone purchase any which probably explains why they abandoned that part of the business. They just opened up and I have to say that I was impressed with this location. They have plenty of ice cream flavors to choose from along with quite a few cones to choose from. I like the fact that they can make you a shake from any of there ice cream flavors and they have smoothies if your not in the mood for ice cream. They also have gourmet popcorn here, I got a sample and it was pretty good. The location was very clean and the customer service was great. One aspect that I like is that they have booth seating, which allows you to sit more people and it's comfortable as well. read more

Horrible customer service. They close the store early so don't bother with the 10 pm close time. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I arrived here at 9:48 and they already had the doors locked. All the employees seen me and laughed then ignored that I had even showed up at the door. I waited over 10 minuets for an employee to rustle tell me they had closed. After I mentioned that they still had a few minutes before it was their 10 pm close time. (This I posted out that was posted on their door) she ignored me then turned around and walked away. There was also another customer who was waiting outside too who said they had been there even longer then me and was also ignored. Seems this location is great for ice cream but DO NOT GO HERE FOR CAKES. the cake decorator is lazy and unprofessional. I ordered the silly pink monster cake which is usually done in buttercream frosting, because I have gotten this same cake from another location. The fluffy frosting is cheap and tastes gross, and is quicker so that was used for the fur as the decorator doesn't care about detail. Brought the cake back and the decorator straight up refused to re make the cake. Two stars only because the girls at the register were really sweet and I ended up getting a refund. Get your cakes done at the location on ynez. As other reviews indicate the decorator doesnt know what they're doing what it comes to cakes. read more

If you want good customer service when placing a special order, don't go here. I want in asking for a "value cut" of their gold medal ribbon flavor. The employee there said there was no such thing. This was after I explained to her that I've been buying it for years including at international locations. She kept showing me a quart container. I showed her a picture of the value cut container that I bought previously. She went in back and then another employee came out saying that they were "out of stock". Value cuts are prepared on site and not ordered. I was so disgusted that I simply walked out never to return. I finally asked to sample a flavor and the guy working said yes but then walked to the front door, looked like he checked his cell phone and then changed the trash bag in the trash can. I was just in your store 10 minutes ago, and I must say how disappointed I was with the service, or I should say lack of service. I walked in and went straight to the counter to place my order. There were 3 employees that were working at the time, and for the 3 minutes I waited at the counter not one person approached me or even said a word to me! So I walked out, you can say a little upset. I'm an African American, and I hate to use the word racism when it comes to bad service. But I'm afraid I can't come up with any other reason.
