When I ordered the cake over the past weekend, I noticed the clerk was showing each of the customers their cake before they left. That was helpful because the display case held none of the size cake I had ordered. In fact, it only had three of the tiny cakes on display. But today, when I arrived to pick up my cake, the clerk plopped a cake on the counter and said "here's your cake." I said "can I see it" she said "sure," But offered no assistance. In fact, she walked away. When I tried to open it from the top, and couldn't without tearing the box, she said "no it's taped on the bottom" and plopped it back down on the counter and walked away again. Ugh!! I don't have a knife to open the tape on the bottom. Now I am mad, but in a hurry, so i just leave. If I pay $40 for a cake it sure would be nice if you show it to me before I leave. I will not be back. I will not recommend your shop. If the birthday girl asks where I got the cake I'll tell her this story. read more

This is a beautiful little shop! The products are constantly top notch and the people are so kind and helpful! They go out of their way to make sure your celebration cakes are just perfect! If your looking for a perfectly moist cupcakes or cake this is the place to go. This is the perfect treat for any occasion birthday, anniversary, feeling down, you name it. I've had the lemon, chocolate, and red velvet. They're all delicious but the red velvet has been my favorite one. I'm not a big fan of frosting so I like the fact that they don't spread it all over the cake. Instead they put a few decorative lines down the cake which is a plus for me. Ordered a dozen of the bite size bundt cakes 2 days before my sisters birthday and I called the day of her birthday to pick it up early and they said we need a 24hr notice if you want to change your order. But she mentioned it's already finished so I would be able to pick it up an hour earlier. I go in and she brings my order out and I leave. And I noticed the personal note that's included in the order wasn't there. I had to drive back to pick that up which they should have had already done. Natalie, who had helped me that morning...put the note on the wrong side of the card and my sister (the birthday girl) noticed. Went in this morning to store. Store opened at 9:00 I walked in at 8:59(door was open). The associate at the front counter Melanie, looked up at me and said we are not open and was just very un pleasant made me wait for a few minutes before she helped me. It doesn't take much to greet someone with a little more kindness and a smile. Will the associate that handed me my order was very personable and even smiled and said thank you and told me to have a great day. Amazing cakes! Always moist and perfect. They also give you a free bundlet on your birthday! I have found the service on Santee hit or miss. There was a line of 4 people today and the cashier was personal shopping with her customer about candles. Showing her this one and that one and discussing the price of each. Some of us waiting were trying to just pick up a prepaid cake. Either get another cashier out there or let the customer browse while you help people who know what they want. I've never been a customer here but I recently went to a kids birthday party and they got their buntini cakes from here and I loved it. I walked into the store and the girl behind the counter clearly saw me walk in and did not say a word to me. She was acting like she was busy on the cash register and there was nobody in the store. Hands down the best cake around. I was so excited when I was surprised with a cake from here for my birthday. My family knows me so well lol. For extra $ they can decorate it for you too! The flavors are so yummy. I love the raspberry white chocolate, marble recently tried the pecan praline and that was great too. The two cakes I tasted were OK, but I have 3 reasons I will never buy another cake here. 1). Price, way to expensive for a bundt cake. Especially since my family didn't like the flavor combination and only 1 of cake was eaten. 2) Only 1 flavor of frosting, Cream Cheese frosting. So if you don't like cream cheese frosting, you are out of luck. There is no choice of butter cream or chocolate frosting. 3) During the Holiday season they only have limited flavors available: Gingerbread, Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip (which is bizarrely bland), White Chocolate Raspberry and maybe 1 other flavor. So if your birthday is in December and you want something else, you won't get it here. And this last bit, with limited flavors is why they get 2 stars. We have 3 birthdays in December and if you don't have a full selection of flavors, well, I'll buy the cake somewhere that does and save my money. $33 for a just OK cake is not OK. read more

Every flavor they offer is delicious. I am very partial to the white choc. raspberry. All of the cakes I've had are moist and wonderful. They have all different sizes of cakes from cupcakes, personal sized, to big cakes for parties and new traditions of birthday cakes. I was so pleased to see nBc open up in Santee trolley center. Their customer service people are experts and so patient and kind. They have a bunch of birthday cards on hand as well as candles and cute serving platters for what ever season it is. I had some difficulty locating Nothing Bundt Cakes so I had to call and ask where they were situated in the Santee Shopping Plaza. The employee who answered the phones gave me precise directions and I found them easily. This was my first time in a Nothing Bundt Cakes and I wish there were some in Pittsburgh where I live. I stopped to pick up a dessert for a meeting I had that afternoon and had many choices of tasty little cakes. I think for under $1 you can add icing to any of the cakes you choose. We've been here multiple times and can't keep from coming back! They have the most softest, moistest cakes I've ever tasted in my entire life! The first time we came, it was my birthday so I got a free mini cake. I always get the marble cake, but all the rest of their flavors are amazingly tasty as well! Other bakeries need to sit down and take some notes! Customer service is always great too! We've only had to wait in line once and were attended to rather quickly. The bakery is also always clean and most of the time, they offer samples on your right when you first walk in the door. Good for the kids or yourself! The location is great as it's right around everything in the Santee Trolley shopping center. Parking shouldn't be an issue. I called the Santee store this evening to see if they could assist me. I had purchased two mini bundt cakes this morning at the MissionValley store. I had gone in there to purchase a birthday cake and added the two mini cakes for me. With all the fuss over the birthday cake I forgot to ask for extra frosting on the mini's. The lady in the Santee store refused to allow me to bring the unopened containers in the unopened bag in to get extra frosting put on the mini's. Probably a health department thing. But she would not explain why. I don't think she had an answer. But she also refused to sell me just frosting on the side. I figured if they won't put the frosting on for me then why not sell me some extra. What's the big deal.! Anyway I won't be shopping at the Santee store any longer. Poor customer service! read more
