I recently visited this location today I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. I went in expecting to enjoy a birthday celebration, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and stressed. First off, I was disappointed to find out they couldn't offer me my birthday buns, which is a tradition (past 8 years) I was looking forward to. When I mentioned it, another guest in the store even offered to buy me one that was beside the point. While I appreciated her kindness, it felt awkward, and I didn't want to create any turmoil or drama over a 7$ bundtlet. I also expressed that my intention was to buy two more. To make matters worse, the customer in front of me was facing the same issue. It's someone's birthday--how hard can it be to acknowledge that and provide a little extra something? Very friendly staff. I had a minor error with my order and customer service was incredible. The bundts are all very tasty. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate, and although delicious, it barely had any pistachio katafi on it. Still really good. You can't go wrong with the Red Velvet or the Classic Vanilla. I live in Westlake Village, but I was in Ventura for the day, so I stopped in at this location. This location is a bit bigger than Thousand Oaks and has so many more cute things to shop for in their store. I bought my friend a mini flower vase here that she loves. I also got a free birthday bundtlet. I chose confetti and it brought me back to my favorite birthday cake as a child. It was amazing! Also, the customer service I received was extraordinary. GETTING HERE: Nothing Bundt Cakes is located in the small strip mall location near The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Parking blows most anytime during the day or night in this lot area. Blame CBTL or the AT&T store, the bank or Rubio's or the Poke place. Parking is an actual beast. Three years later, I feel exactly the same about NBCs. It is the kind of business that I want to shop in as the employees are true gems and the cakes are delicious and great gifts. It felt valued when I shop there. The additional small gifts-mugs, towels, vases, small containers, and other kitchen decor-to purchase that are clever and cute. They also have many cake candles. They are displayed in an attractive way that draws in your attention. There are two sizes of larger bundt cakes: 8 & 10 inches. They can be layered to serve even more people. I would estimate that a bundtlet is good for two people/servings and a bundtini would serve one person. Each are offered in the 10 flavors offered in the store. Ordering in advance if you want something in particular is wise as it will then be ready when you arrive. They have cute decorations for the cakes and bundtlets and they will gift wrap and decorate any purchase for a small charge. If you have never been, I suggest you go...Parking is fine other than at lunchtime or you could walk from the larger Ralph's parking lot or there is some street parking on the closer side Ralph's that is almost always available. PS: I would include photos of my purchase, but we ate it all too quickly for that! Bundtlets are the smaller individual cakes that you can have on your own or save some for later. These are also individually packed... Bundtinis, which are the mini cupcakes, are what I get for sharing with friends & family. They can be 1-3 bites, just depends how big your mouth is lol. This place's cupcakes and bundtlets are nothing but great! The frosting is awesome and the variety of flavors is great too. They often have sales (that you can know about through their email blasts). My wife loves that they carry some gluten free bundtlets (she really liked the raspberry-lemon flavor they had some time ago). My favorite flavor here is lemon, but the raspberry is pretty good too. Still five years after my first review, this place has been consistently great. Great flavors, great customer service and fair pricing. Today I took 4 bundtlets (lemon, carrot and 2 pumpkin spice). As always, the flavors were amazing. The cakes are always perfectly baked and not dried at all. The frosting is just the icing on the cake, haha, so good, so smooth. I am far from being a new customer of Nothing Bundt cakes. I typically shop at the Thousand oaks location. However, I was near the area and wanted to check it out. It's definitely magical when you walk in the smell hits a core memory. The lobby's clean, pretty in Pink, lots of colors, gift sets, gift ideas and more. I got greeted when I walked in, there was a good aura. Julia was the employee who help me. She was kind and had a soft welcoming voice. I can't imagine anybody rating this place any less than a five star you walk in Happy you leave happier. Tip; I do suggest to fill out the email sign up form it's a great way to get a free bundtini for your birthday and specials. I love this place. I don't go here very often, maybe like once or twice a year. I mainly get cakes from here for birthdays and holiday parties. What I like most about these cakes are the texture and then the taste haha. The staff here are always very helpful and nice. Funny enough though, I feel like the internet is always down for them and so there's usually an extra long line because their card readers don't work. I don't think there is anything bad I can say about Nothing Bundt Cakes. They taste good, they always have so many flavors to chose from and they are not terribly expensive. Ever since they first opened their Ventura store, I've been hooked on these delicious little bundles of cake. They are incredibly fluffy and moist and their frosting is always spot on. I really like the fact that they are simple and to the point. You can get them in bite size pieces, mini bundts or bigger sharing size for parties. Their online ordering system is great as I can order days in advanced without ever having to call or visit. And if you are in the mood for a small piece, they almost always have all of their flavors in stock. I also like the fact that they don't try to branch out with other products, they focus on what they do best and make sure that those little bundts always taste as good as the last you had.
