He knows all of his clients by name, learns their preferences and truly "sells confidence." He has been my go-to and part of my life's routine for over a year now, and that was after trying a dozen other barbers around. They just can't compete with the cut or family that he engenders with his business. I personally get my hair cut by Andy or Kandice, but you can't go wrong with anyone on his team. He's deliberate with each hire, so each can deliver the Debonair brand. Truly, I can't speak highly enough of this barbershop. Whether you're in San Diego for a weekend, or live here permanently, do yourself a favor and make an appointment.

Yet, he's out in Hillcrest having a blast. Look, maybe if you were a professional and didn't let your personal issues affect your judgment. We would have this problem. But here we are. Melissa there on the other hand was great. Took me in and catered to my needs. Gave her a fat tip for being so flexible and not expecting me to cover the supply costs prior to the appointment.

I had been to Floyd's 99 several times in the past and was satisfied, but my experience yesterday…read moreat the Market Street location was completely unacceptable. I specifically asked for a bob haircut with longer hair in the front and a short, graduated back. Instead, I got an uneven trim with the front cut shorter--the exact opposite of what I requested. What I received for $52 was nowhere close to a proper bob haircut. To make matters worse, while doing my hair, the stylist caught my earring with her comb and ripped it out of my ear. The earring fell somewhere in the salon and was never found. If they did not have a stylist capable of doing the haircut I requested, they should have simply told me. I would have gone somewhere else. Instead, they assigned me to someone who clearly did not have the skills to perform this basic haircut. The lack of professionalism extended to the front desk. The young receptionist was dressed in what looked like boy-short underwear rather than appropriate work clothing, with much of her backside exposed. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional for someone working at the reception desk of a business. Bad haircut, lost earring, poor judgment, and an extremely unprofessional atmosphere. I will not return to this location.
