After a minor fender bender left deep scratches on my bumper, my insurance company referred me to Northern Virginia Auto Body. My appointment with the claims adjuster was at 11:00 a.m. on a Friday, and my car was ready for pickup at noon the following day. Everyone at the shop was friendly and very helpful. The work was impeccable, and the pricing reasonable. You would never know that my car was in an accident. I learned that the shop also does routine servicing (i.e. oil changes). Mr. Lee and his team did an outstanding job on my vehicle. Recently I had purchased a 2013 Audi that came with some minor cosmetic damage: paint chip on the fender due to some sort of impact that also bent the metal, misalignment of the front bumper with the fender, and also a dent in the lip of the bumper which resulted in a bump and paint damage. I brought the car in Thursday and it was ready to go by Saturday morning. Again, I cannot stress the workmanship of this team and how great of a job they did. In terms of pricing, it's fair; he even admits I could have found cheaper but the quality of the work would've been compromised. Regardless, his pricing wasn't outrageous and he even touched up some scratches around the vehicle with the left over paint. Mr. Lee works for his customers. He understands that the majority of individuals who walk through his doors aren't in the greatest of moods due to being in an accident of some sort, and does an excellent job in making this process as easy as possible. The customer service here is always great. I've brought my car in here several times for both minor and major repairs (taillights, air filters, brake/rotor replacements, issues regarding my engine, etc). Things are always done in a timely manner and they communicate very well the issues with your car, what repairs they'll be doing, etc. Mr. Yoon (past employee) and now Chris have worked on my car the most often in recent years and they've done outstanding work. Most recent work - Chris replaced my spark plugs, air filters, ignition coils, caliber, brake pads/rotors. I ask a lot of questions because I don't know anything about cars. He always calmly explains so I can understand what's going on with my car, which I appreciate. He also serviced a complimentary synthetic oil change because he saw I was due for one. The team at NVAB was very careful removing and reinstalling the interior trim, and the window was replaced without any sign of the work being done. I did something embarrassing last weekend and broke the rear window on my minivan. Ouch. Foregoing any more detail, I ended up with glass shards everywhere including inside the body of the door. Because I wanted someone to take the inside door panel off in addition to replacing the window, I chose to go to a body shop rather than have someone come to me, like many other car window repair services. These guys answered the phone on a weekend and were able to give me an estimate over the phone. I contacted several other companies in addition but they all told me I had to come in or were otherwise difficult to work with over the phone. When I say these guys made it easy, that's an understatement. The woman who answered the phone needed to contact some people during their off day (which was above and beyond the call as far as I'm concerned). She said someone would give me a call back in 10 minutes. I figured, yeah right. Likely. Eight minutes later I got a phone call from Danny. He asked me a couple questions and gave me a quote! After hanging up I realized I had some other questions, I called back, was put on hold for less than a minute, and Danny picked up the phone again and was happy to answer all of my secondary questions. I ultimately chose the aftermarket glass over OEM glass because OEM would take a week to order, whereas aftermarket would be available the next day. When I arrived, I was greeted at the front desk by the same woman that answered the phone over the weekend. Just as lovely in person is over the phone. Maybe it helped that the air in the office smelled like hazelnut coffee - my favorite. I said something to that effect and was offered a cup. I asked if I could see the glass before they installed it, to which Danny came out and introduced me to the glass man, who showed me everything I needed to see. I even got a little free lesson on glass manufacturing and the installation process. I felt well-informed and that I was getting a quality product. I got a ride to work and came back later that afternoon to pick up the car. The new glass looks just like the factory. I thought I heard a few rattles inside the door frame, maybe from some leftover shards, so Danny took the car back and had them go through it once more, his insistence. It's awesome. I really feel like I got VIP service. When I got into my car and started driving away, I realized that they even vacuumed and wiped down the entire car, not just the back of the minivan. It's not quite a detail, but it's a million times more clean than one of my weekend clean-the-crap-from-the-car treatments. With all sincerity I can tell you that if I ever have another reason to visit a body shop (let's hope not) this is where I'm going. read more

I brought my car here because when I was visiting home my neighbor hit me pulling out of her parking spot and since she didn't want to go through insurance asked her friend who works here to fix it for me. He ended up quoting her $500 so she decided to call AllState anyway. They quoted $791 to AllState and when the check came they said it was now $900, but after some arguing they dropped the price again. Um, Shady much? So I go to pick it up today and they definitely put the reverse light bulb in the wrong place!!! I don't work in a body shop but I know where to put a freaking reverse bulb!!! Terrible... BUT! The paint and body repair looks good. I definitely wouldn't go here again though! read more

Definitely one of the worst body shops I've had to take my car to. Unfortunately, i switched to Geico (first mistake of mine), I then got into a car accident (second mistake of mine), then had to take my car to this place (third mistake of mine). I got into a fender bender and my hood took the banging. So when my hood bends, and my shocks on my hood get killed is that a part of a claim or not? According to Geico it is a part of it. NOVA Auto body said that it had nothing to do with it-- really? Did my hood not get smashed and my shocks go out? Geico agreed that it was a part of it and should be covered my insurance. I realized this after I left the shop, because of course the walk through the gentleman did with me was fast and pointless. He walked around and showed me what they changed, but never opened my hood, where there was a lot of damage to the radiator inside as well. Not only this but they promised me that I would have out by Friday (this was told to me Wednesday morning). I didn't get my car back until the following Friday, with me having to call them every other day since they never gave me any updates. Just a horrible place and really bad service... & yes, I went out and bought my own hood shocks and went and paid for labor to put them in ELSEWHERE. read more

Impressive. Not that I have a need to repair my car everyday, but the experience I had at this shop was amazing front start to finish. ALLLLLLL of the staff members were extremly courteous and professional. I had very minor damage to my car so my review is based on customer service really. I can't speak for the major bodywork they do. My car went in as if it's been through hell and back from salt all over the car and an interior that hasn't been vacuumed since September. Yes... I was a little tiny bit embarrassed to hand over the keys but am Glad I didn't do the work myself hehe. I've taken both my car and van to Mr. Lee at Northern Virginia Autobody on Roanoke st (Fairfax). The first time (car, 2 years ago) I submitted a claim and the second time (van, earlier this week) I was paying out of pocket. Both times I had a very positive experience. Pros: -They managed the claim process very quickly and clearly -Rides to and from home/metro -They vacuum and clean the vehicle before returning -Mr. Lee both times was very polite and explained to me all my options, managing expectations, and the estimates were both times exactly what I ended up paying (no surprises). -The car was fixed by them 2 years ago, and the paint job still looks great. -Reasonably priced and flexibility for those on a budget. Highly recommended for auto body work. We took my wife's car there after her car was hit causing damage to the back and front. The work looks great. All accident related items like the bumpers appear to have been done correctly. Nova also identified and worked with the insurance company to cover other items that became apparent. Good paint job too. I have taken my other car to different places and was usually disappointed in the work. Things would be missing, not flush, clearly a patch job, late, etc but NOT here. I got into an accident last month and my insurance company recommended this auto body shop. As soon as they got the order from my insurance company, they contacted me and arranged for my car to be towed to the shop within 2 hours. They then had me come in the same day to sign paperwork and go through the damages and what needed to be fixed... The the next day they contacted me again to give me an estimated repair cost and to let me know that they had started working on my car. They kept me updated on the repair progress throughout the 2 weeks my car was there. They actually finished a day earlier than scheduled. Despite the fact that I got into a car accident for the first time, I'm very satisfied with the service I received at Northern VA Auto Body shop. My car was cleaned inside and outside when I picked it up. They even asked me to leave my rental car there so I wouldn't have to return it at the rental car place. TERRIBLE SERVICE! This is the second time something similar had happened at that place. Whatever you do, do NOT go here. When I picked up my car there was damage on it that was not circled as preexisting damage but they also claimed was not related to the accident and still refused to fix it. The guy that I worked with was also a major jerk. Could clearly tell that I was upset about it and was laughing at me the whole time for being frustrated and trying to explain to him why it made no sense that they wouldn't repair damage that occurred while the vehicle was at the shop. These people will do anything to avoid having to pay for damage they caused. Save your money and go somewhere else. Jerks. read more

Ok...having to get your car fixed when it wasn't your fault SUCKS!! But these guys made it about as painless as possible. To be fair, it was part of the Geico Express process. I drove up to the front door, went inside, was immediately taken back to my car for damage review and shuttle to the rental car place was there waiting. Got my rental and was done in 40 minutes. The guys from the body shop called me and kept me posted and car was ready less than 3 days later and looked great. All in all, a very easy process!! Use them!! read more

This place is actually not the most pleasant place to go to and to wait ...because, for example, the workers there smoke and the smell is so strong it makes me sick. However, they did do a very good job repairing my car. I also loved that they washed and polished my car, and even inside the car it was vacuumed and cleaned. It was as though I had taken it to a car detailing place, except I got it done for free!!! That's a bonus :) Good thing: they actually call you and keep you updated in the progress of your car. They have an estimated date to complete their work but it seems like they finish earlier than the estimated date. Also, they are honest. I pointed out an issue I noticed and they checked it and fixed my issue. I appreciate that. It is overall an effective place to fix your car!!! I chose Northern VA Autobody based on the reviews I'd read, then drove there to have a look before I committed. Operation looked clean and organized so I went ahead and dropped off my 2015 BMW 740i for some repaint on a quarter panel that had been sideswiped. They did a fantastic job at a reasonable price, and even cleaned up some adjoining poor paintwork by previous autobody place -- at no extra charge. Got my car back to me a couple of days ahead of schedule. I even got to meet Mr. Park, the legend. He could see that I'm a "car guy" and very particular about my ride, and took some extra time to explain how they work. Like I say, it came out beautifully.
