I went elsewhere and they didn't find any cavities and addressed the pain I was feeling was actually my gums. Please save your money and go else where. I had a friend in dental billing review the initial root canal estimate and I was told they were upcharging tf outta me and adding extra codes that were not needed or accepted by most insurances & it ended up not even being a cavity. To think they were going to drilll a completely healthy tooth is beyond unbelievable. Advocate for yourself and get a second opinion when things don't feel or seem right. I will never return to this butcher shop.

I read a couple reviews and of course people have their pros and cons with their own experience with a dentist, so I decided to check it out myself. Called to schedule an appointment and spoke with Megan. She was great! She said that they're booked for the rest of the year, but there is ONE opening the next day. Took it! When I got there, the waiting room was neat and clean. Their Christmas tree was up already which shows that their office was very festive and into the holiday spirit. I had to fill out a form (highly recommend you printing it out and filling it before your appointment - saves you time). I got called in a couple minutes after I filled out the form. They took photos of my teeth and did my cleaning. I was in and out within an hour. I was seen by Dr. Zamora Rojas) and she was very gentle on my teeth and told me that I would just need to continue brushing and flossing and possibly get a mouth guard. I asked if i can have an estimate and she said that Megan can print one out for me. Overall, would I recommend this place to others, yes. I had nothing bad to say about them. I saw Dr. Chin first at her Graceful Smiles location in Springfield, but her hours were more and more limited there. So I switched to her Rose Hill location with Dr. Mestas. Dr. Chin is a caring, highly intelligent dentist who understood that many of my issues (grinding, fractures, jaw pain) were due to my overall jaw/tooth structure, so I agreed to an occlusal analysis. I do not regret this investment one bit! After Dr. Chin reshaped my teeth, I no longer grind because my teeth all "hit" at the same time. So all the fractures that she's been watching, all the decay that she's been cleaning out and covering with crowns, and the ONE TOOTH that I went in for originally, that is now extracted and waiting for a new implant .... all of this has been done with kindness and expertise that has helped immensely - see, I'm a dental phobic. It took a LOT to get me in that chair for all these procedures, but Dr. Chin does wonderful work, thoroughly and with consideration for the patient. And we all know that a doctor's office does not end with the doctor; the front desk must also carry a lot of the treatment logistics and patient needs - insurance, prescriptions, etc. Mariela has been very helpful, and knows her stuff. I always feel as though I'm in good hands, even while I feel overwhelmed by insurance. Mariela has handled everything from insurance claims to prescriptions for Valium (like I said, phobic) to reassuring me that I really, really should just come in as scheduled instead of wimping out because I'm terrified. :) My teeth are better, though there's still a crown or three and an implant to get through. But Dr. Chin has been able to explain the whys and hows in a way that makes sense, and she's improved my overall oral health in a relatively short time. Highly recommend! So, additionally, I found out that 3-D "logo" is linked to another Dental Group near Belle Haven, VA (or New Alexandria as it is now called) near the Belle Haven Golf course which actually performed an extensive and EXPENSIVE root canal with two teeth being crowned, lower one SNAPPED off.. and that cost me 10,000K yes you read that right. I am 74 years old and have spent thousands of dollars on my teeth.. because I was born w/ weak teeth. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. Each of the two dentists I had seen left the practice and each time, the owners instructed all the staff to NOT tell patients they were leaving. I have had doctors and dentists retire or move and they or the practice always informed me. I found the secrecy to be very disrespectful. She kept saying I need your member number and I explained nothing had changed other than the plan being COBRA now and I needed to give her this number. Long story short she declined to take the number and said she would just close out the claim, whatever that meant. I felt I needed to bring this to the public's attention. I found out what closing out the claim meant. They just sent me a bill to pay the balance . That balance is the responsibility of my insurer. I also left a message for the Dr Thomas (the dentist that owns the practice) to call me and have not received a return call ( it has been 3 days).

Anyway, first impression: CLEAN. Pens, sanitized as used. Everyone wore a mask, wiped credit card machine, overall clean. 2nd Impression: No unnecessary patients. I did ask how they are scheduling due to Covid cases rising, front desk explained they're only seeing one patient at a time to make sure no one is feeling uncomfortable and to make sure they have enough sanitizing space in between patients. When I asked if there was someone else that could help me, she cancelled my appointment and hung up on me. The front desk staff got me 'squared away' (Army lingo) really quickly when I reached out and the communication via txt, email, and phone could not have been better. Both Jennifer and Camila really have their act together. My hygiene assistant Ryan really knew his stuff and did a great job. He had a very upbeat attitude and demeanor while putting up with my silly jokes but he's got a bright future ahead. Dr. Rahman was the icing on the cake to say the least. She was as pleasant and as knowledgeable as Ryan and was just as warm. My molars hurt, and the area under the filling is turning black--it looks like I have an infection, or as if they left debris underneath before sealing it. My teeth are turning black. I think I have an infection in all the molars they filled. After seeing so many bad reviews for this clinic, I'm going to file a formal complaint/lawsuit against them because I don't think they should be allowed to keep practicing if they don't know what they're doing. It seems like this clinic is more interested in draining insurance money than ensuring your oral health. I do not recommend coming here; there are plenty of other clinics. I came here thinking it was a good place because I saw some positive reviews, but please--go somewhere else. I absolutely regret ever coming to this clinic. They charged over $6,000--which the insurance paid--but honestly, I would have preferred to pay nothing at all. Stay away from this clinic; don't make the mistake of letting them touch your teeth. If they messed up the fillings this badly, just imagine what would happen with another procedure. This is something that will affect me for the rest of my life.
