The restaurant was spacious and bright. The service was great and so was the drinks and food. Everything was fresh and tasted great. I would recommend reserving on a weekend. The lemon rosemary wings nice and crisp and flavorful, the calamari was fresh, the lobster fra diavolo is very spicy but everyone has different spice levels that they can take. The portions of all our dishes were good, good seafood portions within the pasta and the short rib gnocchi was delish. The tiger lily cocktail was delicious. I would recommend putting your entrees in the same time you order appetizers as there may be a wait time told by a regular patron that we were with.

Second time here and didn't disappoint. This place is top shelf. Amazing craft beer and solid wine selections and a full bar. Service was outstanding even for a group of 15 of us. Upscale fresh vibe inside and even outside seating. The food was outstanding. I had the Seafood Scampi which was amazing. Every meal at the table looked and others said tasted great! Their pasta dishes were vast and good portions. This is a great benchmark of top quality non-chain, local restaurants should be. I'd come here as often as I could if I lived here.

The ambiance at Novara is great, and both the food and drinks were so good! I had the seafood pasta, which was delicious, and a spicy margarita that was really well made. My girlfriends had martinis that were equally as good and beautifully presented. And if you like espresso martinis, definitely get one -- they were amazing! Such a fun spot for dinner and drinks with friends.

Made reservations for a Wednesday night and it was fairly busy. Love that they offer complimentary valet in the back lot. The restaurant is an open space with high ceilings great for casual dinner but also for celebrations. Loved the lamb lollipops and their fig & prosciutto pizza. Nice spot for dinner in east Milton.

I've been here several times and I always come back because of the service and giant TVs. It's a slightly upscale place with an extensive menu. My favorite dish is the crusted cod and their pastas are pretty tasty. It's a little on the pricey side but service is excellent. I also recently tried the lemon cake and it was so good. Portions are big and the tables/seats are comfy. There's limited parking but they recently added free valet.

I like the vibe, it's a nice spot. It can get really loud but it has character. The food was good ever had good flavor. I am glad I didn't know what was on the wings I would have probably asked for it on the side but they were good just as they come. The service was good, especially for a Friday night.

Novara is pretty decent restaurant for the most part however they have changed the way they make their Alfredo chicken & broccoli dish and I'm not a fan... however their red sangria, crispy cauliflower, and wings were pretty good

Easter lunch at 1pm reservation. Valet parking was convenient. Lively atmosphere but not too loud. Seated quickly by friendly hostess. She sat us at a high top near the bar but was able to move us to a table for 2 when we asked. Our waitress was over quick and happy to serve us. We got our drinks right away, Hugo spritz and vesper martini were excellent. Appetizers of focaccia bread w tomato marmalade and chicken meatballs were delicious. Very tasty and tomato sauce sweet. We ordered side salads of garden and Caesar. Very good but could have used a bit more Caesar dressing. Salmon piccata w mashed and asparagus and ribeye w mashed was divine. Couldn't ask for a better meal. Excellent quality fish and meat and cooked perfectly. Lemon cake was ok, it was more of a pound cake as opposed to a layer cake. The blueberry cheesecake was delicious. Overall wonderful experience, our waitress checked in w us regularly and our dishes cleared promptly. Highly recommended! And enjoyed getting a pic w the Easter bunny!

Had a decent experience here recently. The space is inviting, high ceilings, nice touch of spring with the tulips on the tables. The service was good. Waitress was attentive and checked on us at least once. The presentation of the food was good but the flavor and quality were average. The chicken wings smelled slightly stale, which was disappointing. If you know me, you know that is my quality barometer. Menu prices were typical compared to similar restaurants. They have a free parking lot in the back.

Definitely a great restaurant! Starting from the wait staff to the food, amazing the entire way. We sat at the bar and were served very quickly. I got the lobster roll and I think hands down the best I've ever had. A very large portion of lobster and cooked to perfection. Will be coming back to try more when I get up to Boston.

My two friends wanted to eat here and so we went up today with a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant was so beautiful as I was expecting a smaller bistro. It's an interesting space, and I found that it was not too loud, even though the ceilings are high. It has an open kitchen and it's just a beautiful spot. Our meals were absolutely delicious. My friend had the chicken Saltimbocca , I had the eggplant Napolitano and our other friend had the chicken and broccoli Alfredo. Everyone absolutely loved their meals and took half home because the portions were so big. We got the focaccia bread appetizer and I did think it would've been nice for the bread to be warm and for the tomato dipping sauce to be warm, but it was cold. Our waiter was excellent. The host stand folks were very accommodating and friendly. Easy enough to get to will definitely be back.

Food was great Service was terrific, thank you, Tammie The ambiance was perfect, with Christmas music playing, a Christmas movie in the back, and Christmas decorations. Thank you for the experience. We will definitely be back, nothing bad to say at all.

Where best to park for 12:30 lunch?

There is a small lot on the East side of the restaurant on a one way street. There is very little street parking, but at lunch time you can get lucky.

Wondering if NOVARA 'dresses up' the restaurant for the Christmas holidays? Looking to dine out with some friends at a fun and festively decorated restaurant on the South Shore this December. Could this be the place?

Yes! They do, it's very beautiful at night and they present an Intimate vibe with low lighting and candle accents.

How noisy is it? So many tables....

Depending on the day (weekends I'm sure are busy), it's fairly okay in terms of volume. I think they do play music in there as well.

Very well balanced - I especially liked the stracciatella. Taleggio Capeletti (7/10): A bit too rich and too salty for my tastes. I think this dish just needed something to cut through the richness. Still really good nonetheless. Lumache (8/10): The chew on the pasta is impeccable!! The chew on those mushrooms is also insane. Texture-wise, this dish was a home run. For some reason, I kept getting hints of something resembling boar taint in the sauce flavor itself. Not sure why... I don't think there was meat? I feel like I would've given this dish a 10/10 had it not been for the hint of that flavor. Service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant is small, but the seating didn't feel too tight. Even though I gave it a 5/5, I actually don't know if I would come again. The pasta was very steeply priced for not that much food. Although the capeletti was surprisingly filling, I'd rather feel full on carbs than full on pure butter and cheese.

There is no reason to make a table wait 10 to 15 minutes to get their drinks when the bar is 50 feet from the table and we can clearly see there are 3-4 people behind the bar not doing anything. The food is not made upon ordering. I tried to order the penne vodka without the bacon in the sauce. I was told that "that's the way it comes." So it was pretty clear that the cook is not making any sauce when you order it. (This isn't a red sauce that takes hours.) The pasta is from a box so the prices that they charge for it are not justified. Overly loud Spanish love ballad music was playing at 5 PM in this nearly empty restaurant. Between that and the gigantic white feather decorations just over my partner's head I would say the vibes were off. My partner had seen this restaurant while walking around and thought it could be a good place to try out. He was pretty upset that the restaurant was so meh and that he took me there for my birthday. Bad music. Bad decor. Bad service. Mediocre food.
