Shrimp Scampi

Very cozy Italian restaurant. Some of the fare is pretty standard and the other stands out. Specifically the whipped ricotta and garlic knots. The garlic knots were very doughy and warm ok the inside. Great service. It's the kind of place you can sit and eat for hours.

It's been...years...since I've been to the Venetian. When my friend suggested it, I was skeptical, but she noted new ownership (from when we grew up in the area), and a fun, Christmas themed atmosphere. I am so glad that we went. We had a reservation, checked in, and were seated shortly after we arrived. The decorations, as you can tell from photos, are splendidly over the top, complete with holiday tunes playing the entire time. Our server was great, and made recommendations on the menu (from drinks, to food, often adding additional color/context). For a cocktail, I had the hot and dirty, a martini with pepperoncini infused tito's vodka, olive brine, and best of all blue cheese stuffed olives. It was just the right amount of spicy, fun play on a dirty martini, with plenty of olive juice. For dinner, I went with the shrimp scampi, which was generously portioned, with spinach, tomato, garlic, lemon, and a white wine sauce over spaghetti. It was really good. For dessert, we opted for the creme brûlée - it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal - with a nice crunchy shell/top layer, with a creamy custard underneath. I will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!

Had their Christmas price fix lunch for my first visit here. Food and service were exceptional the chef even came over to our table to see if we were enjoying it. Christmas decorations were just amazing. Really put you in the holiday spirit. Would definitely recommend

Old fashioned at the Holiday pop up

I finally got to go to the Venetian Holiday Pop-up this year! This restaurant has great ambience to begin with - but add in the intense ceiling decor and you've got this old time holiday vibe befitting of a fancy italian meal. I got the Pumpkin Agnollotti - I had no idea what an agnollotti was before - but it's stuffed pasta. It was in like - a brown butter sage sauce with cranberry. It smelled beautiful and tasted really good as well. I also got an old fashioned because it was their signature drink and it definitely felt like the place to drink one. Our waitress was on top of our refillable water and was pretty attentive given the place was booked solid. The Venetian is a delicious - but expensive. And they are so prepared to take your money if you want to give it to them. They have fun holiday pop-up merch and special hot chocolates in commemorative mugs. It's easy to get swept up in. I am happy to have gotten to experience this. I can see how it would be a treasured holiday experience - there were a lot of happy people there. If you are going for the pop-up, I'd suggest scouting out other parking before hand - we got the last spot in their parking lot - and would have had to circle or find other parking otherwise. The only thing I did not like is the fact that the commodes in the toilet were made of black ceramic. I am sure they were clean, but I really, really didn't like that. All in all, this was a very good festive experience and I am glad to have done it.

Chicken Marsala

At over $30 for the Chicken Marsala, this is unacceptable. No sauce, no Marsala wine flavor...actually no flavor at all!, chicken barely fried, very little mushrooms. Ended up covering it with butter and cheese just to taste something.

Tried the Venetian to check out the Xmas pop up and the decorations were very cool. As for the food it was really pricey especially for Weymouth. The food was ok. The meatballs and arancini could have used some more flavor and the chicken parm was a great portion size.

This is a local Italian restaurant that a few years ago started an annual "Christmas pop up" where the entire restaurant is completely decked out in incredible holiday decorations. You have to plan ahead since the restaurant is quickly sold out for the several weeks they have the decor up. In November (late for this event!) we were able to snag a late lunch reservation. We had a great time. While too many Christmas decorations might fall into the tacky range, not so here. They were incredibly pretty and nicely done, albeit over the top in a fun way. Walking in put us immediately in happy and festive moods. During this holiday event, you must utilize the prix fixe menu during the lunchtime seatings. It is $50.00/pp not including tax and tip. You get a choice of a Caesar or Greek salad (one salad served family style for the table) and a choice of one of several entrees. Then you are served a plate of desserts, again to be shared by the table. Drinks are extra. We chose a Caesar salad which was delicious and not overly dressed which I appreciated. For my main dish I chose the eggplant parm which came with a side of rigatoni. Delicious! It was a nice portion half of which I took home. My husband chose the Pasta Bolognese which he enjoyed very much. The desserts were tiramisù and mini cannoli. Both were very good but my favorite was the tiramisù. I had a delicious French rosé to drink and Tom had a vodka tonic. A bottle of cold water is served at the table along with a basket of very tasty bread and a small dish of oil and vinegar if you care to dip. At dinner, the full menu is available even during the Christmas pop up. The restaurant of course was full but even though it is not a particularly large restaurant we did not feel crowded in. The chairs were deep, and soft-cushioned and very comfortable. Our waiter was Christian. He was nice, efficient and attentive. Christmas music played softly in the background. It was a fun and quite festive thing to during this holiday season. We decided we will make reservations (much earlier) next year and do this all over again. We will certainly return after this holiday event is over...no scramble for reservations needed.

The Restaurant: Came here on a Saturday night and it was super packed. We had a reservation so we got seated immediately. The restaurant was well decorated and felt very cozy. We sat in a booth and I felt like the seats were kind of hard and uncomfortable. It definitely feels like a family restaurant, even though I'm sure it'd be fine for a date. The bathroom was clean but oddly dark and cold. The Food: The complimentary bread was soft and room temperature. The butter with it was cold. The oil dip was just okay. For appetizers we got the fried mozzarrella and calamari. I don't eat calamari but the mozzarella was just two big slabs of mozzarella that were fried, not mozzarella sticks. You have to cut it like a steak. I wouldn't order it again. For my entree I got the seared atlantic salmon with the sides of arugala salad and butternut squash. The salmon was hot and tasted fine but wasn't anything special. The butternut squash was delicious. Highly recommended. The arugala salad was fine. For a drink I got a lavender lemon mocktail. It wasn't really worth the $10 tbh. For dessert I ordered the creme brulee. It was good. I'm not sure if I'd spend the $12 on it again though.

We loved this place! Went 2 weeks before Christmas because we had heard about the amazing ambiance, it did not disappoint. We went on a whim without a reservation and got two seats at the bar no problem. Cristin our bartender was great!!! We felt not rushed and throughly enjoyed our time there! She made excellent drinks, nice conversation and service was perfect. Highly recommended for the holidays

3.5/5 plenty of parking and decently sized restaurant, recommended by the Phantom Gourmet. Had to try their arancini, it was large and crunchy with good filling in the inside. Bread to start was good and filling. The wings were tasty and well seasoned. The main entree of pasta with sausage and meatball was ok. Meatball was overcooked and sausage was not enough in my opinion. For sure a hearty filling meal where taking some as leftover is recommended.

A must try for an authentic Italian meal. My husband and I have always tried to come to this place and it's kind of hard if you don't have reservations on holiday season or valentines (get your reservation ahead to avoid long waits). The environment is very cozy and warm, would come back for more for sure!

I got dinner here the other night with my husband for the Christmas pop up. I went last year too, and feel like the decorations were a little more elaborate last year. Still beautifully decorated though. We started with a spicy tequila drink and a Sinatra whisky drink. The tequila drink was great, Sinatra drink was incredibly sweet. We were also told they were out of old fashioned cocktails... which seemed almost impossible. For appetizers we spilt the Aranchini and garlic knots. Both were good, but honestly nothing special or food I can't wait to try again. For dinner I had the chicken parm, which again was good and not great. My husband's pasta was delicious and one I would go back to eat again. We had two dessert martinis (espresso and tiramisu) and both were good but extremely strong. I'm aware martinis are just alcohol, but these were hard to drink because of the burn after each sip. Tiramisu dessert was tasty. We went for the ambiance and everything was good, nothing really felt great. Decorations were beautiful and server was very nice and knowledgeable also.

It was my 75 birthday and I chose the Venetian from reading all their great reviews. The food and cocktails were really good. We both took food home as the portions were large. Our server Mike did the best he could. My only complaint would be that they really need bussers.. we waited longer than normal for our cocktails and our food. I have to say that it was very busy. As soon as a table would empty they we're filling it up again. Happy for the new owners and kudos to them for making the old Venetian a beautiful new restaurant to dine at.

They have a great 3 course pasta meal deal that I got last time but I remember seeing the Pork Milanese on another table and I knew I had to get that this time. We started our meal with fried brussels sprouts that came with large chunks of pancetta and a apple cider reduction. All the flavors worked well to balance each other out, we attempted to recreate this delicious combo several days later at home. Next came the Verdi insalata, which was an arugula and watercress salad with apple, pistachio and balsamic, a refreshing followup to the brussels sprouts. Next came the massive pork milanese, it's a show stopper. The breading is impossibly crunchy and not oily at all, while the pork was juicy and flavorful. There was a citrusy fennel salad on top and that paired really well with the fried pork. Every course of our meal exceeded our expectations and I am excited to come back next time to see what's new on the menu.

About 25 tables, but not tightly packed. Felt like an Italian restaurant where you might just share with the table nearest you. I could order nearly anything on the menu. Awesome and terrible with a time crunch! We started with the focaccia bread, which was delicious. We saved some and I'm eating it now. Then it was Splitsville: I mean we split a salad, bolognese and chicken parm. Garden/House Salad was described as fresh, what the kitchen could get, flavorful and colorful. It was all those things and didn't disappoint. Chicken parm was not fried. Was Bell & Evans chicken breast not beat to hell. Was plump, juicy and flavorful. Maybe the best I've ever had. Bolognese was equally good. I'm glad we split everything so we could each try a number of different options. We were out on time and never felt rushed if you can believe it. Just before the meal ended I told her I did not want any extra charges on my bill because the last time they put some kind of admin fee I think is what they call it at the bottom of the bill. Well she said she was unable to do it because it was a policy in both of their restaurants but that she would send over the manager. He arrived and explained that the charge was TO HELP COVER THE COST OF THEIR IMPORTED GOODS LIKE CHEESES AND OILVE OIL.. and something about the tariffs... and they haven't raised their prices for 2 years. Well maybe you should and stop the additional charge. Don't know about anyone else but I am not interested in paying for a restaurants cost of goods or the cost of running their restaurant in general. He did remove it but not before telling me he did not like the way I spoke to him. Personally I don't believe that's why he said that but it was more he did not like what he was hearing. There is no reason to make a table wait 10 to 15 minutes to get their drinks when the bar is 50 feet from the table and we can clearly see there are 3-4 people behind the bar not doing anything. The food is not made upon ordering. I tried to order the penne vodka without the bacon in the sauce. I was told that "that's the way it comes." So it was pretty clear that the cook is not making any sauce when you order it. (This isn't a red sauce that takes hours.) The pasta is from a box so the prices that they charge for it are not justified. Overly loud Spanish love ballad music was playing at 5 PM in this nearly empty restaurant. Between that and the gigantic white feather decorations just over my partner's head I would say the vibes were off. My partner had seen this restaurant while walking around and thought it could be a good place to try out. He was pretty upset that the restaurant was so meh and that he took me there for my birthday. Bad music. Bad decor. Bad service. Mediocre food.

When we arrived just before 7 the restaurant was busy not not full. Our server, as he passed our table, said he would be right with us. We waited. And waited. And patiently. Because I could see our server. He was at a table of 7 and I knew he wasn't forgetting or ignoring us. Then he was at a table of 4. Then one of 5. Then ANOTHER that appeared to be about 7 people again. He also had at least 4 two tops. I couldn't see far enough behind me to expand on that count. When he did come to us, an undisclosed amount of time later, he was kind and thorough and not at all showing the stress I'm sure he was feeling. I saw only one other server the entire time we were there and I'm sure he was taking all of the tables in the dining room we couldn't see. I'm sorry I cannot remember our servers name. Both men were bald and one was wearing glasses. Ours was the one without the spectacles. He remained busy through our meal, and we enjoyed the entire thing. Burrata with prosciutto to start, and then a Wellington to split. Both were phenomenal. The drinks were amazing, even with accommodations for one ingredient I am allergic to. At one point one of our cocktail glasses was broken accidentally by someone not at our table and it felt like the entire FOH staff (all 5 of them lol) came to help clean up and make sure everything was cool. They were all so kind and had smiles on, even though I'm sure they were still too swamped to clean up the mess. Honestly, for our very first visit I'm sure I could have been upset at the wait and complained that our server was too busy, but erring on the side of caution I prefer to presume it was either an unusually busy night or someone had called out, leaving the restaurant short -staffed. Kudos to the whole team for working together and keeping positive attitudes on the floor. We loved our experience and look forward to returning.
