    three carnitas tacos
    Leslie C.

what a huge disappointment! Go to the taco stand if you want good mexican food! This place is a rip off. We ordered the ceaser salad with al pastor chicken and the three carnitas tacos. Total cost was over $60. Ridiculous. The menu is uninspired, the prices ridiculous and the service slow and spotty. Now for the food. The ceaser salad dressing was not at all like a real ceaser. Maybe they use bottled dressing? The chicken al pastor was tender but it was incredibly bland. As for the tacos, You get three tacos per order but you can't mix and match. You have to get all the same kind. Seriously? The carnitas were good. I'm grateful i didn't get the chicken. The menu says it comes with salad, cilantro, avocado and onion. It does not. It comes with guacamole and a tiny bit of onion. Then you choose your sauce. I picked the medium -hot sauce. It is a minuscule serving and more like mild-medium. This meal was a rip off!

This new spot in terminal 1 is amazing! We had the absolute best bartender Gandhi! Not only was he super friendly and personable, he went above and beyond with our prosecco drinks by adding sparkles- like actual glitter! He was cracking jokes all while remaining very professional and efficient. Can't wait to fly out of this terminal again soon!

Gas station food for Tony hawk price. Listen to the other reviews and PLEASE go to the "taco stand" a door down. You've been warned.

    Great service!

Excellent service, great atmosphere, good wine list but disappointed that their special offer of add a shot to a beer for $8 was not available to a glass of wine even though the wine is twice the cost of any beer! Still a great place to pass time as well as eat and drink between flights.

The food was fresh and the service was excellent. Our server Romero took great care of us and was very attentive.

Really confused and wary with seeing any reviews above 3 stars for this place, to be honest. Let's get a few things out of the way: is it expensive? Yes, it's airport food. So 20 bucks for every dish seems on par with normal airport food. We got a quesadilla (9 dollars) and the 900 degree fries (9 dollars). Please note that adding meat is an additional 8 dollars for both. If you're going to the airport and want quantity then this isn't a bad choice as both plates were large. With that said they were both okay. I wouldn't necessarily call this food authentically Latin though which confused me as I know the chef is supposed to be a pillar of that. It felt very Americanized. Service was fast. We came here when it was raining but they have an outdoor area which is nice as San Diego weather normally permits that!

    Rounded up $30 mimosa.

Popped by here for a lunch on the way out of town. TBH the food looked pretty plain. I had a turkey club and the others in my party had Mexican plates that looked more like cafeteria food than actual cuisine. They charge airport prices. A large mimosa was nearly $30.

It's very odd every table has a $7.50 bottle of water sitting on it.

My husband ordered the quesadilla with chicken, $19, came with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. I ordered carnitas tacos, $23. Honestly this was the saddest taco plate I've ever seen. Being in San Diego I expected better. The tacos were barely filled with carnitas and no rice/beans on the side just a small slasaThey tasted just ok, nothing great. The quesadilla was better tasting and a better value. Would I come back here? Yes for beer, no for food. I must say, our server Laurie was great, very friendly and outgoing.

Decided to eat here for breakfast before my flight and instantly regretted it. Service was rude to my girlfriend and I, they got my order wrong, (I ordered a burrito without cheese on it) then got called a lier by the waitress saying the burritos don't come with cheese in the first place. Don't waste your time eating here.

    Nice presentation.

Warning: do not expect fish in the ceviche. I counted 5-6 small chunks of shrimp, which may have totaled a single large shrimp. The flavors was great, but expect an onion and cucumber salsa with a couple pieces of shrimp. Horrible value for $24. Ordered the Quesadilla as well, and it was good, as well as the Guacamole that comes with it.

Food was decent. Service was not. Waited almost 10 mins for a waiter - while they stood in a group chatting 10 ft from me - see the photo. Terminal one is new and this restaurant is new, but they need to do much better as the restaurant is half empty and there's no excuse for the poor service

Ask for Ramiro!!!!! Amazing service. Alondra is a very friendly hostess as well. I was excited to see they had an outdoor patio which allowed some fresh air while in the airport. If you skate or have ever been a fan of skateboarding, the Tony Hawk themed decor is super cool too. Great place to stop and have a drink or some quality food while waiting on your flight!

Had a long layover at San Diego airport and the lounge was inaccessible so we came across Novecientos Grados by Tony Hawk close to our gate and decided to give it a try. We were seated immediately in the bustling restaurant which has indoor and patio dining. Our waiter who was very busy greeted us immediately and we were served with water and menus. The menu is all Mexican dining with a large variety of options. What I liked about the menu is they explained all the dishes and the sauces available with the varying degrees of heat. I appreciate that because you don't always get that in a Mexican food restaurant. The guacamole looked especially delicious so we ordered that as an appetizer and as main course decided to try the carnitas tacos, three tacos served with chips and salsas. You get a choice of three sauces and we chose the mild to be on the safe side. We also ordered a margarita and a Dos XX's. Our drinks were quickly served and the guacamole followed. It was very, very good and the mild tomatilla salsa was a perfect compliment. I will mention that we were offered extra chips as we dined but we declined as we were served plenty. When the tacos came we were surprised because they were huge and packed full of tender succulent carnitas meat. It was topped with another generous portion of guacamole and your choice of salsa. As I mentioned we took the mild Chipotle salsa which was great with the chips as well. The three tacos were more than enough to fill us up so we declined ordering any more food but we did enjoy another drink. The servers were attentive, the managers came by a couple of times, even refilling our drink order for us while the server was busy elsewhere. Everyone was friendly, welcoming us and saying goodbye. The food is excellent and plentiful and very delicious. Give it a try. Expect it to be a little pricey as it's in a airport but believe me I have no complaints with this establishment, only praise.

My husband and I just finished our dinner at Teleferic Barcelona when I suggested we give Raised by Wolves another try - as we had about an hour before picking up the kids. For a Saturday, I was pleasantly surprised that as walk-ups we only had to wait a few minutes before we were seated at the bar inside. While we waited, we enjoyed perusing their bottle selections for purchase and I'm happy to say that playing music slightly louder in the waiting/market area helped dull the sounds from the inside bar. It helps create more of a 'moment' when you sit at the fireplace and slowly turn inside. This time we were seated right at the bar, which was perfect for us. Chuck was our bartender and 10/10 on the cocktails he made. This time, I went with their Tiki Room and my husband an off-menu Boulevardier (which I have to say I'm impressed he knew what that was because even I didn't, lol). Both drinks were perfectly crafted and enjoyed by both of us. We only had a moment for just one drink this time, but I have to say our experience was so much better than our first (perhaps a fluke of an evening). The staff were all welcoming and knowledgable, other guests were dressed well, and the ambiance lent itself to the vibe we were looking for. After doing some homework, I made the connection that Raised By Wolves was part of the hospitality group that also owns Lafayette Hotel, The Baby Grand, Ironside, etc...all locations my husband and I absolutely adore. Happy to support such amazing places around San Diego and I look forward to more!

It's cozy, intimate, and unlike any other place I've been to in San Diego. Reservations are definitely worth making since the space is on the smaller side and fills up quickly. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that, while the experience and ambiance were amazing, the drinks are definitely on the pricier side. I understand you're paying for the craftsmanship and atmosphere, but it's probably not somewhere I'd visit regularly because of that. It's common for tiki bars to be pricey so it was to be expected. Highly recommended if you're looking for an unforgettable atmosphere paired with amazing desserts.

If you make a reservation be sure to reserve the booth seats. Parking was HARD and nonexistent. Less than 10 parking spots provided by Starlite, then you need to drive through the hilly residential area for a spot. Drinks were decent but nothing special! You really just come here for the ambiance. Presentation was nice. Service could be better, was slow.

Kiku Room has a chic minimalist interior, with polish concrete, metal, and glass as the primary backdrop. The DJ booth is large and separates the front sitting area from a lounge in the back that is draped in deep red lighting. The bartenders are cool and welcoming, the DJs who come through are usually really good, and the lounge is quite comfortable as well. Pretty good price on drinks overall, too. You can get a glass of draft Asahi here for $7, for instance, which is pretty good for a place that's in this DTSD-adjacent area.

The cocktails are just as dialed. Balanced, clean, strong (in a good way), and not trying too hard. They have some great NA options as well. The NA Asahi beer is amazing. You can tell there's real intention behind the bar, which makes the whole experience feel cohesive. Yes, there's usually a line -- but that's what happens when something is this good. I've heard they're working on expanding, which would be amazing because the space deserves to hold more people without losing that energy. Five stars. For the music. For the drinks. For the vibe. I'll happily wait in line for this one.
