Visited here while at the new SAN Terminal 1 - and found it an okay option. Ordered a glass of bubbles - they have 6 or 9oz or the bottle! It was not really cold enough which is a deal breaker for me with champagne or prosecco. Also ordered the Charcuterie plate. I wanted the cheese not meat as o don t eat the latter! It took a while to get and was okay. Nothing impressive - cheese and crackers were good, dos not care for jarred olives! No local beers. Seating is hard to get so grab any seat you can !

Honestly when we sit down at the SIP we were so excited because we previously had an awesome experience. Unfortunately it was not the same this time Lisa J needs to be fired. No kindness, no customer service whatsoever. Got upset because we left to sit on the other side of the bar with Valeria who change our service experience to a Five star. Lisa J had the audacity to throw a The Drink my husband had been waiting for in front of his face. Supposedly she had ready to serve him. Such a rude and disrespectful bar tender. Once again Valeria change our service experience with her Smile and kindness.

Awesome cute circle bar with a lovely, chill ambiance. PSA: OPENS AT 6AM (online it says 9am & I promise it's fake news lol). The only thing more lovely & chill than the bar itself is my ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE & AMAZING, not to mention beyond BEAUTIFUL (INSIDE & OUT) bartender/server ESMERALDA B. I am super early for my flight & I couldn't have been more blessed with a better situation than finding this low key gem of a place with a real life rare angel working here. I truly think God blessed me with meeting her & he's showing me what actual wonderful company is like. Anyweis go check out the bar & if you're lucky you'll get to meet Esmeralda B. I happen to fly a good amount and my gates are always typically one of the very last ones which means I make my way to SIP. I like that this bar is pretty decently sized so there are a lot of seats for travelers. Everytime I have been there I have been able to grab a seat pretty easily. They do have a small food menu and they are able to get it to you pretty quick. The bartenders here are quick and always checking in on you which I appreciate when traveling to make sure you can close out quickly. My go to bar in the airport - see you again soon! read more

Such a terrible experience I sat down and was greeted by Val who seemed to be having a terrible day and it bled through to the service. If you are going to work in the service industry you should leave your issues at home. Food was ok, not very many options and no local San Diego beers, they need to fix that. Waited 10 minutes or more with the bartender walking past me multiple times not making eye contact and it was not busy at all. He was more interested in getting relieved he was getting off work and wouldn't get my tip. Screwed up the order of the ladies next to me and was mad. Ive been there multiple times and my favorite drink is the ESPRESSO MARTINI. It was amazing. The bartenders are amazing. Last time I was there I had Tom and Kakorn (cant pronounce her name). So she said call me "K".. Pricing is about the same as other airports, but its worth it. read more

Every time I stop in the San Diego airport, I make sure to stop by Sip. Service is always great, quick and welcoming! The breakfast sandwich is the best that I've ever had either with turkey or with bacon! Service was good. The beer selection is terrible. I must have heard 3 different people ask if there were other beers to choose from than the standard Applebees stuff they have available, it's also not cold and no SD beers. They also charge you a 2% fee to help retain their employees, it goes straight to the employee. So now I am tripping and paying their salary directly. Just put it in the overpriced drinks and leave it at that. Ambience was typical for an airport. Stop somewhere before you get this far down. read more

Service was not good, wine list was pitiful and VERY limited for a California establishment Ordered the marinated olives which were a few cocktail olives drenched in olive oil and comes with a tablespoon of nuts in a plastic container presented in a cardboard tray that soaked up all the olive oil. We were told we would get to try 4 or 5 champagnes. And while they were trying their best, it just took such a long time between pours, and we didn't end up trying all of them, as they ran out of at least one. They did compensate by pouring more of the others, but they just didn't seem ready for the group that was there. We ended up shoving our way to stand inside, as it was not pleasant outside. It was a really cute place, and they all seemed very nice, but if they are going to have events, they need to be much more organized and probably limited to a smaller number of people unless they can put more tables out in the lobby area. I had been excited to check it out, but left feeling that we didn't have a good experience.
