OH MY GOSH!! So I came back. I woke up at 4:40 AM today to drive to this pool and be forced to swim WITH HAIRBALLS AGAINST MY WILL. I previously left a VERY ACCURATE REVIEW about these atrocious hairballs 11 months ago. These hairballs are in my nightmares. The scalp pieces connected on the hairballs are yellow and make you GAG. I was doing my peaceful breastroke swimming and holding my mouth shut. Hoping I wouldn't CHOKE and/or SWALLOW a VIOLATION OF SAFETY CODE PIECE OF SCALP. It was like having a hairball with the side of pool. FILTER OUT THE HAIR. And parents, if your kid is taking lessons here, PLEASE BE AWARE and make wear a SWIM CAP. PLEASEEEE!!! read more

this place is horrendous, the park is extremely small and you need to take swim lessons in order to dive. And every like 5 minutes there is a lifeguard reading out rules, there was a drill for the lifeguards today DURING POOL HOURS. Also, you aren't able to do any backwards tricks, which is so lame. Fantastic area to take the kids on a hot day. The lifeguards are super respectful and super responsive. In fact, these might be the best lifeguards I've met at a public swimming pool. The shaded areas provided plenty of shade to keep those of us that are sunburn prone out of the sun. It was also definitely nice that they allow food inside the area, we enjoyed having our melon and grapes and chips readily available for our kiddos. THIS POOL IS DISGUSTING. If you have ever been to a decent pool this will give you NIGHTMARES. The bathrooms are GROSS. There are bugs EVERYWHERE and the showers are terrible. The water faucets are broken, and the mirrors are so dirty you can't see anything. The toilets are disgusting and never cleaned at all, and the floor needs to be mopped. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CONDITION OF THE POOL!! There are hairballs EVERYWHERE, and they get tangled and are disgusting. The middle of the pool is only about 3 feet deep. Most of my teammates have marks from running into the bottom of the pool. The pool is muggy, and hot like bathwater and they never ever cool it off. It's even overheated in winter too. The landscapers are there during pool hours, which is a danger to people walking around. They cut the palm trees when we were there and almost dropped the branches on us as we were walking out. My team is forced to swim at this pool and I absolutely HATE IT. If you want to lap swim, try Brimhall aquatic center or Skyline Aquatic center. Everything I need is right here... lap lanes for me to swim laps. Typically they have two lanes designated for lap swim and rarely do I get a lot of people in there who wanna swim laps. Lifeguards are cool and help to keep the kids from crossing through the lanes. Most importantly the water is refreshing and has been clear despite the number of people who come From a family perspective, this is a great way to spend an afternoon as the price is $2.25 for adults and $1.00 for kids (cash or card, but bring some cash just in case for the dessert truck located inside that only takes cash). It's reasonably priced and they do have diving board areas both high and low for family members to jump off as well as a nice slide pool area that's really refreshing. When you are coming make sure you bring plenty of towels and secure a spot when you first come in that's in the shade with some chairs so you and your family can have a "home base" as you move around throughout the multiple pool areas. This community pool is in my neighborhood and I love it! I just went with my fiance for the first time this past weekend. We were a little nervous because neither one of us has been to a community pool since we were kids and we don't have kids so we didn't know what to expect. I was a little afraid the kids would be going crazy. We did get splashed a few times but nothing terribly annoying. We were able to relax in the shallow end of the pool which is angled and feels kinda like a beach but without the sand and waves. The cost to get in was $2.25 each and they asked us if we were Chandler residents but didn't ask us for proof. We were allowed to bring our soda in and apparently you can bring food in as well, as long as it's not seen as "party food" like boxes of pizza. They also had an italian ice truck which served chips and soda too. We were worried about leaving our keys, wallets, phone, etc. in our bags but it was so busy that I didn't feel very threatened by theft. However, we did leave our valuables in the car. Next time I would probably rent a locker for a quarter. I loved the big waterslide they have. My fiance went down it about 6 times. We also enjoyed watching people dive off the diving board (and rating them out of 10!). My biggest criticism of this pool is that there needs to be more shaded areas and seating around the perimeter. There's a bunch of open space where people could sit or lay down but it's all in the sun which is not safe during the summer. Another sore point is the bathrooms. There were only 4 stalls in the women's bathroom and 1 was out of order. There was a big line for the bathroom and people took forever. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK HERE! read more

This review is only about the swim program. The pools are fine. The swim lessons are absolutely *worthless.* I didn't expect much given the pricing, but it's a joke. The classes started on time maybe 1/6 times. My daughter didn't have a consistent coach. She had a "sub" for multiple classes, then her "regular coach," then a "sub" again for her last lesson. The lessons are 25 minutes. We had people coming in ten minutes late to lessons every. single. time. This is disruptive and honestly they should've been turned away. 10 minutes into a 25 minute lesson = you shouldn't have bothered showing up. Yes, it was always the same people. As I mentioned, the 25 min lessons never started on time. They also consistently ended 2-3 minutes early. Not much, right? Well, if you start 3-5 minutes late, and end 2-3 minutes early... that's 20-40% of the lesson lost every time. My son's coach was great. Super kind, took time with him, and he actually cared about the kids he was coaching. That's about all the kind things I have to say. Take your kids to Gold Medal Swim School. read more

I LOVE taking my kids here! I live in Tempe and it takes me about 15 min to get here but it's very much worth it! It's always so clean, there is a ton of places to sit and relax and the life guards are always on top of their game! What I love the most though is how cheap it is!! Of all the pools in the valley this is the chillest spot ever. Every year it checks all the boxes for a good time. Great for all ages . Super affordable . Plenty of shade and lounge chairs. Life jackets available for free. Lifeguards at all angles throughout the area. Multi Lap pool for exercise. Two regular spring boards. One high dive. Zero degree entry ( concrete beach) for wading in the water and mama tan sprawl out. One water slide . Normally we go around the same time every Friday but today they was closed for whatever reason. I used to swim a lot here when I lived closer to this pool last summer. Since moving, I haven't found a pool that I liked, so I come here from time to time. I do have a pool at my apartment, but I do like to take advantage of stuff like this to mix things up. Anyways, the pool is easy to find. Its right off the 202 on Kyrene on the West side of the road. Its only a $1.50 to get in, which I think is remarkably cheap. The place is great for kids, families, or anyone looking to cool off. They have 3 seperate swimming areas! They have a diving area with a couple diving boards. They also have a kids swimming area with stuff to climb on that shoots out water. They also have an adult pool where you can either swim laps or just hang out in the water. They even have drink stations n stuff! I drive here to swim, hang out and cool off when it gets to be hot out here. If you check out the website, I guess this place also has classes for kids and adults too. read more

First of all I love this pool, it is near my house and prices are very reasonable. They make improvements every year that you can see; More shade, fake grassy areas and finally moved the furniture to shaded spots throughout. BUT the bathrooms are overlooked. It appears as if no one is responsible for their on going cleanup during open hours. Trash on the floors, toilets constantly out of toilet paper, only one of the soap dispensers work. Please take a look at this on going problem. I do believe a strong management team can take care of this issue and make it better for everyone. The water is kinda of foggy at this time. Not sure why. I have been here for hours at a time and I never see them to checks on the water quality (which I did in past years) perhaps they do it differently now. They also are equipped with water sprinkles but never turn them on in the lap pool. Would be nice since the pool is warm as bath water at this time of year. read more

This pool is fun for all age groups. There's a playground in the zero depth area for toddlers. There are diving boards and a waterslide for kids. There's also an area with a basketball hoop for the bigger kids. The large pool has lap lanes right down the middle, so at least the teenagers and bigger kids usually play by the basketball hoop. The other side of the pool is usually occupied by parents and kids. This facility is always kept clean. What really sets this pool apart from the other Chandler pools is that it has a pretty good sized lawn where people can lay their beach towels down and hang out. read more

I am very dissatisfied with the management at this facility. Around 7pm today a group of young teenagers doing various kinds of professional level dives were confronted by a short chubby manager. He proceeded to completely violate social distancing by yelling in their faces with no discretion. My 6 year old son was fortunate enough to enjoy hearing him use various kinds of vulgar insults. I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Nice pool. Wednesday is family night, $1 for your entire family to get in. Not overly crowded. Lifeguards are nice. No food stand open at this time. Nice area for the littles. Kids slide is based on height. My son is at the limit at 48in. Big slide is for 42 in and over which is nice compared to other public pools which is 48. I like how there are different pools. 1 for diving boards. 1 for laps and 6ft and deeper and then the kids pool. Lots of shade and fake grass. Nice to have a park right outside the pool. A mom with her child and sister were forced to leave the pool today due to wearing a two piece. They tried to tell her to "put shorts on." If you have a nice body that you're comfortable in they will discriminate against you and force you to leave with a crying kid and not even give you a refund simply because one of there other guests was jealous. They are a loving family just trying to enjoy a nice day at the pool while it's over a hundred degrees outside. Do not go to this pool! read more

The City of Chandler just does it right... I've been here a few times over the past several years whenever family comes into town. My most recent visit was with my two nephews who were visiting. This pool is one of the best I've experienced! It has a nice array of pools for different activities and age groups. Not to mention there was plenty of covered spots to sit if you aren't swimming. Do know that those spots get taken quickly, however, when it is hot out. If you're looking for a great (and cheap) way to beat the AZ heat, this place does it! read more

I have been to this aquatic center a few times now with my family and every time the lifeguards are very friendly and focus on their job and do what they have to do, when I'm swimming with my daughter. I have been to plenty of pools where they're irresponsible, they like to chat in groups and do not pay attention to children. I for one would never leave my daughter to swim elsewhere but it's nice to know I have that extra sight from the lifeguards. Thank you! read more

My tween and my teen and I really like this public pool. They have a "high" diving board, which I love, with it being a reminder of my childhood hometown swimming days. Two different play pools areas for older kids, one which has a basketball goal. Three lap lanes for exercise swimming. A slide, plus two large play areas for the little kids including a zero depth entry for the smallest of tots. Three different shade areas for people who don't want to "bake" in the sun. If they added a "hot food" concession stand, this place would be virtually perfect. read more

I was honestly looking forward to swim and checking out their high diving boards with my 7 year old son, I saw a bunch of good reviews from yelp about their quality of staff, however that ended quickly when an overweight manager approached us without a mask and shouted at my son for splashing in the high dive area. First off, I was absolutely shocked when he had no mask on (violating social distancing) and secondly, how he had the audacity to start yelling at my kid in front of me. I then proceeded to ask for his name and he didn't not share that info. My son was terrified and we will never come back until he is removed from his position. The other manager Sierra however is very cooperative and helpful and she should be all time manager. read more

Awesome pool. I go here every summer on my own as well as with a group of children. I like that this pool has ample chairs to sit around the kiddie area so I could watch my kids. What I DON'T like is that the lifeguards are all clueless. There are times when we'd be sitting in the shallow end and almost get knocked down by kids who were fighting in the area. We even mentioned it to the lifeguards on duty and they don't seem to care. read more

First off let me say I'll definitely check out this pool again. Now after saying that I've gotta say it had a ghetto feel to it. Nothing against natives cuz I am 1 but there was a gaggle of them from the Res & they were really bringing down the atmosphere. Just poor behavior & a bad reflection upon natives. & that's why I'm willing to check this place out again to see if I get a better feel. In regards to the facility it's small but there is plenty for kids to do for the $2 price tag. Think it's under a buck for kids. This is our favorite pool for our 2 year old. First of all, it costs like a dollar for our daughter and like $2.25 or something for adults. Second of all, they have shaded areas to sit in and they offer lounge chairs and picnic tables. Third, they offer life vests for young children so you don't have to bring any with you. The bigger pool is amazingly warm and it's a nice starting point so that I can ease my daughter into the kiddie pool. The kiddie pool has a little play area and slide. This aquatic center is great and it's less busy than the larger ones but it has slides, kids are and dive boards. No whirl pool or rivers but plenty of space. Very limited shade seating and big grassy area for blankets and your own shade too. For a couple dollars, it's worth the craziness and keeps the kids cooled and happy. They could have better concessions or more options with real food, snacks and snow cones don't fill em up if they're there for several hours. read more

We always have a great time at this pool. They have a high dive, water slides, zero entry pool, lap pool, snack shack. Hours of fun for everyone. I've always been impressed with the life guards at this pool. They are VERY attentive and tuned in to what's going on at the pool. I've never been nervous or hesitant to let me kids go from pool to pool - no need to be a helicopter mom! They do have some rather specific rules about food and drinks so make sure that you check the website before you go. One thing that stands out is that they limit the size of coolers that can be brought in. We usually end up bringing a couple of small "6 pack" coolers or lunchbox size coolers. Bring plenty of your own cold water. It's very affordable! They have a hard time keeping the bathrooms clean with all of the wet bodies. Everyone enters through the bathrooms - kind of weird!
