    Splash pad fun

Small, nice little neighborhood park. Skate park is limited but the splash pad is fun for 8 and younger. Lots of green space, nice little playground.

Great splash pad area, I especially like how it's fully gated so my toddler doesn't run away. The water is pretty cold but there's a lot of areas to play and places to sit as well. Each of the tables are under a shaded area so you can put your stuff down and watch your kids while sitting down too. It was a little busy but that's to be expected in the summer. Easy to find and lots of parking. We went right when it opened at 9am and there were still quite a bit of people.

What a great find! I recently joined a mommies group and we decided to meet here. School was still in session so I was surprised to see how busy this splash pad was. Lots of shade and enclosed for the kiddos. We only wished that we remembered to bring buckets for the water. We'll be back soon since it's close to home.

We love this place! It's fantastic! Thanks town of QC! My kids love this place. There is decent parking and some great places to sit in the shade. A lot of effort was put in to planning for parents. Bring some cups for the kids to fill and use in the water, they enjoy that!

What a great place to take the little ones. First, it's free. Second, it's a great way to cool down during those hot Arizona summer months. I'd say the average age range of kids is 1-12. Some adults will get in there to be with the smaller kids. There's plenty of shaded seats for the adults to relax under. There are monitors on duty to make sure all kids are following the basic etiquette rules. We've been a few times and our daughter loves the place. She always tends to partner up with other kids her age and they all have a blast moving from one splash area to another. Make sure to bring bottled water or juice boxes during breaks. Even around all the water kids can still get dehydrated in the heat. Oh yeah bring sun block too. And towels. Be ready to have fun. There's a skate park within walking distance from the splash pad so the older kids can shred while their younger siblings splash around. There's a public restroom nearby with water fountains in case you forgot the water.

This place is pretty cool. We take snacks or lunch and make a day out of it. It's filled with families and the kids play nice together for the most part.

This place is kind of a hidden gem. I had no idea it was there until someone told me about it! It's perfect for my family because there's something for everyone... A skate park, a playground, and a splash pad.... not to mention seating and shade for me!!!! We couldn't ask for much more. If you are looking for a way to entertain a wide variety of ages this is your place plus it's free!!!!

We always have so much fun here! It's clean, lots of space to run and I love that it's gated off! We had my son's second birthday here a year ago and he LOVED it! we frequent this place often. So many different water features for kids of all ages! I also love that they have multiple covered seating areas. Tons of space and tons of fun!

Good place to take the kiddos however was not a fan of the big tank of water that spills, not very good for younger babies

My grandson loves this splash pad. I like that it has a gate around it. It'd be nice if the benches had a mister system or something.

Still open during COVID. One of the best parks I've been too. Kids loved the splash pad.

Kids loved it. Parking is a little tricky, bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to lay on.

Next to the spray park, there is a small playground as well as a skate park with a decent-sized ramp.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. I want to like it and not be ungrateful…read more I signed up exclusively for basketball. There's 3 courts and plenty of space. First two times I arrived all 3 were blocked off for various other rec things. I go in today and one court is blocked off for PICKLEBALL. YES, they have an empty Pickleball court and lifted the hoops even though there's 30 pickleball courts outside. The 2nd court had 5 year old kids training with coaches. The 3rd court has Seniors fitness day even though we have multiple patios, an upstairs section, an actual gym that hardly gets used and an outdoor pool area. What's the point in 3 courts if they are the least allowed to be used? Their first gym floor was improperly installed and they just had the entire gym closed for about 6 weeks. I was excited to come back and play on better floors. I get there and the SAME EXACT floors were installed... the wrong floor type and the panels were installed in the wrong orientation AGAIN! lady at the front desk even mentioned it to me. They never put a clear coat over the top of the floor and they used basic sticker tape on top of the floors to create their basketball outline again. You can use your fingernails and feel the lifted exposed tape. THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE ANKLE INJURIES IN THE FUTURE!!! You cannot have exposed, lift tape as people are sliding and stopping on them. I dove for a ball on day 1 and ripped a 6 inch hole on my hip because the floor is like concrete with no surface coating that allows forgiveness. Absolutely disappointing week 1. I go to the gym. It's low energy and the music is sooo low you can't even hear the lyrics. PUMP IT UP!!! Feels like a quiet retirement center at the moment. I'm going to consider ending my membership after the first month if they keep blocking off the courts. I will adjust my rating if they continue to make this place better. I am not a complainer but when you install the wrong floors twice and make it unplayable... you're going to lose the basketball community. (Fingers crossed) EDIT: Soooooo. I jumped through their hoops and scheduled time off to fit into their slim schedule to make their Open Gym on Wednesday night. I walk in and one court has half the court blocked off with an empty PICKLEBALL court AGAIN!!!! The other court was blocked off with some skills challenge. THEY BLOCKED OFF TWO COURTS TO PUT TWO RANDOM GAMES THAT WAS NOT BEING USED INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE SKILLS CHALLENGE AND THE PICKBALL COURT ON THE SAME COURT TO FREE UP AN ENTIRE BASKETBALL COURT!!!! How incompetent can management be???!!! It doesn't matter how beautiful the facility is if there's no common sense to what your community wants. We had 14 of us asking them to move the skills challenge to the basketball/pickleball court so we can play. Nope... we all have to sit there and follow bad rules and watch two half courts not being used. These tactics is EXACTLY why Legacy Sports Complex down the street wasn't successful. Another beautiful facility ran by incompetent middle management people who have zero clue about sports. I don't like speaking about people like this. But they're deserving to be scolded after non stop negligence. People on FB were complaining too and their friends didn't come out after they found out we couldn't play AGAIN! Absolutely wild. It's been one week and I'm already debating on canceling. How much money is this facility loosing in opportunity costs because of this? Lowed my rating another star again. I will raise my star rating if someone improves the common sense at this place.

For two adults and two kids plus dinner, our total came out to around $60, which felt like a really good value. The kids had an absolute blast playing in the surf and sand, and it was such an easy, laid-back way to spend the evening. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty of parking, which made everything super convenient. Definitely a solid family spot.

As we were looking for the entrance, we noticed there was still a lot of construction going on, sand everywhere, and not fully done yet. Besides the wave pool and surf lagoon, they also have a diving pool, sand volleyball court, and seating areas in the sand. One thing we noticed, though, was that there were only about three lifeguards for the whole area when we were there. The luxury cabanas are located right next to the construction zone, so I'd probably wait until everything is done before renting one. At the entrance, that's where you can get beach passes for the River Wave and Surf Lagoon, rent cabanas, and also the restaurant. We got a table on the patio with a view of the wave pool, which was a nice spot to relax. We ordered wings, fries, and a couple of cocktails, perfect for chilling before dinner. I loved my cocktail; the color was so beautiful. We'll probably wait until construction is done before coming back.

Gilbert Regional Park is near my house and it's a great spot to workout, play, or relax…read more It features many sport courts- pickleball, tennis, volleyball and basketball. While there's a lot of pickleball courts, I've seen them full with a queue to play. I haven't seen this with the tennis courts or other sport courts. There's a playground with a play structure, swings, slides, a zip-line and more. It's on a hill so there's multiple levels to play on. There's a large splash pad for older children and a separate area for younger children, so less likely your toddler gets run over by a pre-teen not paying attention. The one drawback is there's not a lot of shady places to hide from the blistering summer sun. There's a large grass field but it's sloped and thus not useful for playing flag football or soccer. I believe it's built that way to watch performances at the pavilion. If there are flat grass fields at this park, I have yet to find them; they would be a welcome addition. At the end of the park there's a lake with a walking path around it. The largest ramada is on the lakefront and looks to 100-150 people. They have smaller ramadas around to rent as well. Overall, Gilbert Regional Park is a nice clean new park with many amenities. Everything is still in good working condition and there's a lot of open space where everyone isn't concentrated into a small area.
