Totally worth it. Inexpensive, fun features, and feels safe. The life guards did a drill while we were there--they have a sign letting you know upon entrance and they give a very clear message that it's coming. A little whirl pool, a small kid slide, and lots of other space to swim. read more

My wife, four year old daughter, and I arrived shortly after opening time in early May and it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. As the day went on the center got a bit more congested, requiring a line to get into the whirlpool - still far cheaper and less crazy than somewhere like Sunsplash. The water was mostly clean and the lifeguards were mostly attentive. Overall, it was a good experience and we will gladly go back. read more

When it comes to lap swim, the facility and assigned lanes simply just work!. It's only $2.25 for an adult and $1 for kids. I have the ability to swim my mile while the kids join in for a few laps and then they are off to the diving boards, swim slides and the whirlpool... Overall, a great way to spend a few hours. They have chairs available around the pools but given that they are first come 1st serve you have to arrive early, or get lucky. Would be nice to bring a folding chair but at the same time I can see the downside in doing so. read more

This was amazing and such great value! My fiance and I just moved here from CA and have not visited public pools since we were kids. Last week we went to Nozomi Park and loved it so much we wanted to go back a few days later. Unfortunately it was closed when we wanted to go so we came to Hamilton instead. I'm so glad in hindsight because it all worked out perfectly! Hamilton has a similar vibe to Nozomi but has an additional water slide, a vortex, and a small lazy river. Everyone was having such a great time and we had so much fun. Special shoutout to whoever was on AUX because the oldies music was fire! Right when we arrived there was a Life Guard drill which took about 10 minutes and everyone had to get out of the water. While it was kind of annoying, I did not mind because it's reassuring knowing we're safe in the hands of the life guards. Some food for thought for City of Chandler: Can we promote better sun safety at the pools? Barely anyone was wearing hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. Even the life guards were burning, setting a terrible example. read more

This review is for the music during our last visit to the location of the Chandler Aquatic Center. Clearly nobody is monitoring the language content of the music that's being pumped out of the speakers all throughout this park. Considering that it's intentionally designed to be a "family" environment, music that includes F-bombs and other inappropriate language does not fulfill this design. Some of the music had lyrics suggestive of drug use and sex. Not Impressed City of Chandler! There are plenty of music options out there (Spotify, Amazon, Pandora, and XM) that offer clean versions of todays music variety. A little more effort is all I'm asking. read more

The swim lessons are a bit of a joke. No real instruction... no understanding of children or coaching. I guess you get what you pay for- it was $13 for four lessons. I would recommend coming here only for open play with older kids. For a couple dollars to get in, there is plenty to do. Make sure they can swim, though. read more

This is a nice pool; clean, plenty of lanes. However, the staff is COMPLETELY unreliable - they simply just don't show up for work, so the pool can't open. 3:30 wake up to make the 5:30 swim just to be turned around at the door - this happens a LOT. I only swim M & W, and I've had this happen at least 3-4 times per month for the past 3 months or so. Chandler needs to hire more responsible lifeguards or plan on having more than the minimum every day! I'm definitely going to start looking for somewhere else to swim. read more

Great water park for a very small amount of money. Two awesome water slides. Two diving boards. Lazy river with out a tube that takes you into the vortex. Took my kids my niece and nephew with. They all loved it. There are some better aquatic centers in the Chandler area but this one is not bad. Staff is extremely friendly but most of all they care about safety. I have seen them perform multiple safety drills in which they are quick to Save a life. My only problem was I was sitting out for a few minutes and heard a very inappropriate song over the loud speaker. It's was LL COOL J DOIN IT!!! NOT @ ALL A PLACE TO PLAY THAT SONG. Pool was clean, water was nice, and the music was great. Price you can't beat and the staff was really helpful. They did a couple drill while we were there and that made me feel good how quickly they controlled the many of people at the pool. The lazy river and swirl pool is the best. It would be nice to order food but I understand it could increase chances of clogging up the filters and such. Will return and I'm coming from Maryvale Phx. read more

Stay far away. I don't need to be sharing a lap lane with another swimmer while I'm trying to get my mile on. This place is perfect. Perfect location (I can bike to here, and then bike to work), perfect amount of swim lanes (usually will be two to a lane, but I've seen a trio working one), perfect price when you buy a punch card, great lifeguards, and they have showers. read more

The best thing about this facility is that all the pools are connected. That's a huge plus for me. I can get to my kids without ever having to leave and re-enter separate pools. They have two waterslides, a lazy river, a whirpool, and a playground structure in a zero depth area that shoots out water from every which way. They even have these underwater benches that you can sit and rest on while watching your kids... That's excellent for a dad that has to keep an eye out for two daughters. What's not to like about this place? I can't think of a single thing. read more

We love coming here. The kid area is perfect for my 3 year old. My 5 year old loves the big slides and diving board. The place is small and that's one of the things I love about it. The lifeguards are attentive and polite and when they interact with the kids, it seems genuine. The place is also clean and I've seen other lifeguards between their shifts go around cleaning the facility which is another great part of this place. We will keep coming here for sure. read more

This is a nice aquatic center with two water slides, a current river, water vortex, diving boards and eight competition lanes. Lounge chairs and ramadas make for a cooler visit. Families with little ones can also enjoy the zero depth play pool equipped with fountains etc. Parking has not been a problem for there is "football field" of free parking since this pool shares the Hamilton High School parking lot. read more

Can't beat $3 for adults and $1 for kiddos intrance fee. Inexpensive way to cool the kids off while they get some play. My cutie pie loves the lazy river and the vortex. Two slides keep the older kids busy and little ones enjoy the refreshing toddler waterspray playground. You can only bring in a six pack cooler for your drinks. I keep the snacks in another cooler if we're staying for more than an hour. You can only have your kids wear Coast Guard approved floaties or vests. Target has those cute arm floaties with a wrap around the chest for little toddlers. I bought a couple of different life vests awhile ago, that my son also uses for boating., at Sports Chalet at 50% off end of season sale. The lifeguards always run out of the ones you can use for free. Try to get there early to snag a shaded area to hang your hat...er towels. read more

I love going to the Hamilton aquatic center with the kids. For a couple dollars, it's worth the craziness and keeps the kids cooled and happy. They could have better concessions or more options with real food, snacks and snow cones don't fill em up if they're there for several hours. This center actually has good slides and dove boards, a mini float river without tubes, whirlpool and great kids area. Plenty of seating but only half if them have shade. read more

By far the best public pool to take your kids. The 2 giant slides (for 42" kids), a small lazy river and a water vortex which is a cool and unique feature that my kids could not get enough of. For $1 per kid, I cannot think of a better way to spend a day. It is well run and organized and the teenage staff are all delightful, friendly, clean cut kids which I loved as good role modeling for my grade school kids. My Alma Mater! I used to love coming here in high school out of convenience, and what else do you do when you can't drive in the middle of the sweltering summers in AZ? When discussing everything this pool has to offer (2 water slides, 2 diving boards, a lazy river, a whirlpool, and a big kids play area?! Sign me up!), it sounds like an amazing oasis of entertainment and relaxation. The reality is is that this is a small pool that is ridiculously crowded all weekend long. It packs a lot of punch, and there is a lot to do, but the lines are usually pretty long and you can't swim underwater for more than a foot or two without someone stepping on you! Overall, the price is right and it will surely fill up a day if you've got some kids in tow, but it is certainly not relaxing. Definitely a family establishment. But it's clean, and let's be honest: that's all that really matters, isn't it? read more

My girls and I are frequent visitors to The Hamilton Aquatic Center during the summer months. Great play area & zero depth for the little ones, 2 fun slides and plenty of deep water if that's your thing. Mine are between the ages of 2-8, so we have plenty of room to play in the shallower area of the pool. The only downfall is that they often have summer camps during the time we attend and it can get insanely crowded. But I will keep buying the family pass and will continue to come back each year! I was looking for a place to take my kids swimming after the apartment pool was closed all day. Although it was a 20 minute drive it was worth it. It was only $1 for kids to swim, there are lifeguards everywhere and the water was very kid friendly read more

Great little water park. It can get pretty busy on the weekends but during the week it is pretty comfortable. Chill lifeguards that's do their job and keep the kids safe. Really great sloped entry into the pool makes it easy for little ones. Lazy river and whirlpool are the kids favorites. read more

Wow. As a tax payer of Chandler and therefore this pool I find it disgusting how I was treated when I tried to go for a swim this morning. I got to the pool at around 10 and headed over to the lanes to start my morning swim routine. As I was walking over I saw there were swim lessons that were taking up lanes 3-4. So as a swimmer myself I wanted to give the kids their space so I went on the far last lane, 7. As soon as I put half my body in the pool the lifeguard yelled at me and told me I could not swim in there. Ok I understood and got out of the pool to wait for the kids to be done. So I went back over to my things and pulled a lounger out into the sun to start tanning a little while I waited. Keep in mind there were about 10-15 parents watching their kids taking the swimming lessons. So I was laying out, tanning, not bothering anyone waiting patiently for the kids to finish swimming. At this point I understood the pool wasn't open but it was 10:40 and the pool would be open around 11, I presumed. As I was laying out the head lifeguard came over to me and asked if I had a child who was swimming I said no. She told me I had to leave because the pool wasn't open and I would have to go wait in my car for 20 minutes then come in later. I would have been fine if they told me to leave when the swim lessons were over just so they could get my $2.25, I get it you have to make money but honestly it was 20 minutes I wasn't bothering anyone or anything, no music no talking on the phone just laying on a towel. There were parents who were bloody speed walking around the perimeter of the pool as if that isn't a safety hazard in itself. So I picked up my things and left. It's safe to say I will not ever be returning to that pool ever again. I would have been fine with the situation if there were easily readable signs at the entrance saying the pool hours or that the pool was closed for private swim lessons until X-time. Then I wouldn't have to have gone in and wasted my time waiting for the lanes to open. read more

good clean family fun, close to home and CHEAP! Compared to going to Sun Splash or Big Surf, sure it's not a mega park, but close, cheap, clean, and fun for the kids. We have our own backyard pool, this is a fun change of venue that won't break you. read more
