    NU Car shuttle pulling away after 10 mins imploring them to take to pickup our reserved vehicles.

    I would strongly caution anyone considering NU Car Rental. Our party (along with another customer group) arrived on a scheduled flight just after midnight. NU Car Rental had our flight information and knew our arrival time. Their last shuttle arrived at 12:15am. The rental office closes at 12:30am. Despite active communication with the shuttle staff -- and the other stranded customers being on the phone with NU directly -- no one made any effort to resolve the situation. We heard the shuttle dispatcher tell the driver to leave us. When I asked for his name he refused to provide it. NU offered no extension, no alternative solution, and no accountability. As a result, we were left stranded at the airport after midnight with luggage and no transportation. If a company accepts reservations tied to flight arrivals, it is their responsibility to ensure customers can actually retrieve their vehicles. Closing a location while there is an active shuttle -- knowing customers are landing -- is either poor planning or indifference to customer experience. Travel plans are stressful enough without being abandoned by the company you are paying. Choose a rental provider that honors confirmed reservations and values customer safety.

    Awesome car rental place - line was a bit long but I got a free upgrade to a luxury Bimmer, a nice white 3 series BMW as well. There is a shuttle (has a number) that takes you to the spot where you get your car. Hassle-free check out and return also. Hope at night when a lot of flights and people come in they are able to have more staff for the desks (hence the long line that was slow). Great service and epic prices! Cheaper that a Turo and that was why I went with them!

    Had to come here twice to get the car we wanted. First, we waited 1 hour in line from 11:30 pm and they gave is a truck. They said we can pick another car the next day for which we again had to wait another one hour. All this time both days there were just two staffs and the service was slow. They have 8 booth inside but never seen them occupied in this busy hour. I would never rent here again. Horrible experience. Total waste of time.

    This is what I was told the price would be

    Do not rent from this service at all! I reserved a KIA Forte For 8 days, for $211 including taxes and fees...thought that was great especially having to take an unplanned trip to Denver for sick sibling... when I got there, they said they didn't have the car, offered me a BMW SUV for same price...however there were all kinds of added charges... extra driver charge, gas refill charge total cost was $942.77....I was stuck in the middle of nowhere in Denver ....signed reluctantly for the vehicle... Again, Do Not Use This Service, they are crooks. And yes, like a few customers had written, the people that assist you are awful, and unfriendly, that is true. I totally got ripped off.

    Flying out from Virginia to Colorado to ski for a week and needed to rent a car. NU car rental had the lowest rates for a 4X4 vehicle, so we booked it; even though we hadn't heard of that company before. Upon arrival to the airport, locating the NU car rental shuttle was very easy. Once we arrived via shuttle to the facility the entrance to the lobby was very lovely and spacious. Nice leather and clean couches for us to sit and wait while my husband checked in. We did have to upgrade to a larger vehicle as the vehicle description on the website wasn't entirely accurate and we needed a more spacious vehicle. Disappointed though that we had to stop and purchase new wind shield wipers as the ones on the car were trash. The company did refund us that money but it put us behind by 1 hour. We had no other issues with the vehicle. In fact, we had to extend by 1 day due to a flight cancellation and that was extremely easy. The most disappointing fact is that we apparently signed and opted out of the toll fee disclaimer, without evening knowing. Two months later we find out that we not only have to pay the tolls but NU car rental wins big from this as they charge a $15 toll violation plus a $30 admin fee per violation. I just wish the agent would have been a bit more forward or transparent with the toll fee package.

    1 rental agent for the entire rental operation. Guy keeps talking and talking trying to sell the add ons which doesn't help the wait.

After we extended it, our relatives were visiting offered us the use of their car so Routes gave us a full refund for the days we didn't use when we returned it early. The person at the desk said to bring it back at 1/2 tank. Ok, no problem. When I got to the vehicle, the gas gauge read below a quarter of a tank. The odometer read 15057. I took a photo of the dash noting the gauge and mileage. I went to the check out gate, the attendant took photos as well of the dash and noted,"Wow, only 69 miles worth of gas in the tank" (as also indicated in the dash) "There's a gas station just down the road." She said no worries, we'll note the discrepancy for when you return the vehicle. I finished my trip, returned the car with just a bit less than 1/2 of a tank and left. About an hour later I got my invoice via email and they charged me a fuel charge because I brought it back with less gas than I started with. I replied to the email with the pictures I took of the dash and the inspection sheet I filled out indicating that the tank was near empty. I also told them that their gate attendant took pictures and noted the discrepancy for my rental file. They refuse to refund me for the gas they charged me for. These people are corrupt, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

I landed at midnight and waited 45 minutes to get picked up from the bus to the rental car place. Then, I had to wait in line for about another hour. Finally, I got to the counter, and they told me they were out of cars! At 3:45 am, what else could we do? We ended up renting an expensive car. When we received it, we discovered that it had no battery left. We had to sit at a charging station for an hour. The next day, we had two flat tires! We called to exchange the car, but they still had no cars left. We ended up canceling and going with a different company. However, they charged my card twice. When I went to dispute it, they fought it. What a terrible company! The desk people were horrible. One even quit during the duration of my time waiting in line. He was set up to fail anyway. How do you overbook too many cars for people? It's wild! I will never go with this company again and will be sure to tell my family and friends about this awful experience.

No one at AVR told us you need to call to request a shuttle to pick you up, and it takes about 20 min each way between the airport and the AVR office. It took about 30 min per customer at the desk to be processed to get their car, and there's only one employee at a time. Our van smelled like livestock, had expired registration/tags, the horn didn't work, and it was missing a knob on the AC. The back seat also did not fold down to store luggage, which you would assume some people would have if you're renting a 10 person van from an airport rental service. If you're thinking about renting a car here, don't. But if you must, take PLENTY of photos of the van just in case. Go with a legit rental company that doesn't have a 2 star review on Yelp. Also, maybe not as big of an issue, but there was no soap in the restrooms both days we were at the AVR office and used them. Hopefully the sanitation of their rental vans doesn't reflect the sanitation of their restroom. One pro: the shuttle driver John was a great guy and provided the best (and really only) customer service at AVR.

Not like you can get ahold of anyone on Christmas right? Arrive here, and the absolute rudest counter clerk was here. When we asked about how they let others extend rentals even though they were committed said basically not our problem. Also, because we went through a 3rd party to rent, that somehow makes it not their fault?! How do you not know what inventory you have available? Oh wait, she said that person doesn't keep it up to date. Eventually " found" us a van.... Even though there are 5 in the parking lot? Did I mention that the shuttle from the airport was not ADA accessible? Good thing that we had people with us to lift my SIL into the shuttle or we would have been screwed. Would never ever ever recommend this company and plan on filling a complaint with every business agency I can.
