We had a great time exploring Denver and camping in our Kuku camper van at Mt Princeton and Rocky Mountain National Park. We rented the smallest van it was easy to drive and had everything we needed to camp, cook, and have a comfortable sleep after a day of exploring and hiking. It's hard to believe we were in Colorado last week, at Red Rocks for a show with Gillian Welch and the Punch Brothers. We rented an RV for four days and explored Roosevelt National Forest, Rocky Mountain National Park, Idaho Springs, Golden, Morrison, Wild Bill Cody's resting place on Lookout Mountain and many points in between. The trip was a reminder to return to nature, look at the stars and enjoy time off the grid. We winged it and somehow it all worked. Where to next? Many thanks for the Kuku Camper team for their help and support. They were very easy to work with. The price they offer is great, it's a simple van conversion and nothing fancy, but gets the job done. The cushions were on the firm side, and we didn't realize they can be buttoned down to not slide around. Boy, did we appreciate our bed when we returned! We had everything we needed to explore and enjoy Colorado in style. I do wish they'd consider offering a version of the van without the branding on it. I'd prefer to go stealth and would even pay more for an unmarked version of the van. Would love to go to Iceland and rent from them some day too! read more

Their Great Customer Service, Low Prices, & Free Unlimited Miles made them the #1 Choice for us AGAIN. ------ We went out for a 7 day trip in the big "C LUX" class campervan, she handled like a DREAM. Smooth ride, Great MPG, Comfortable bed, tons a storage, IT CAME WITH EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. Even their Instagram was super responsive, they would post our pics as we traveled along, made some new friends through that. Parker scooped us up from DIA and drove us to the shop. They unloaded our bags, then we started the paperwork. After explaining the contract Magus showed us around the van and demonstrated how everything works! I mean literally everything on the van, it was super helpful. The team gave us their personal favorite routes and destinations to check out. I recommend filming their walk throughs bc there a ton of cool stuff to remember. We forgot a few things and called the office later on to ask, they were very polite and helpful. After our epic 7 day road trip we returned the van CLEAN! They don't ask you too but we thought it would be a nice treat for them since they treated us so good. Magnus and Riley were super surprised. They still did their own cleaning, but we definitely helped get a lot of the dirt. That campervan treated us great. My friend & I rented from Kuku for a two-week road trip around Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. I have to admit, when I was first researching this company, the offer was so good and the website was so informal that I had a few doubts about their legitimacy. But, at the end of this two-week trip, I can confidently say that I do not have any doubts about this company, and neither should you. It was an incredible experience. Without a doubt, this place gets five stars. I have four reasons: 1. The service. I've rented my fair share of vehicles at a fair amount of places, and this was hands down the BEST service I have ever had. Everyone was so kind. Before sending us on our way, the employees took us around the van to look at everything and to double check every feature. We checked the tires, the oil, the windshield wipers, the horn, everything. I felt very secure driving away with the van. Throughout the trip we called the company a few times with questions on the vehicle and were always helped thoroughly and in a reasonable amount of time. 2. Unlimited miles. I can't tell you how much of a relief it was to not be counting miles as we drove from state to state. Many rental companies charge by mile or charge for a package of miles that, if exceeded, will cost you extra. This adds up. Unlimited miles (which comes with the van, you do not have to purchase it) solves this problem and takes off a lot of stress. 3. The price. My friend & I are right out of college, so we did not have a whole lot of money to spend on this trip. Finding a company of this high quality for the price range was such a stroke of luck. I don't think you can do better for the price, and honestly there are other more expensive companies out there that aren't as good. 4. The environment. It is informal, relaxed, fun, and yet responsive and responsible. If you haven't seen the promo video-- look it up. It is very strange, & is a pillar of conversation whenever I talk about this company. Honestly, the fun & goofy & relaxed environment represented so much of what we wanted our trip to be, that it was nearly that video alone that convinced my friend & I to rent from this place! These guys are the best! We rented a camper van last week for our honeymoon road trip around Colorado. The van was stocked with all the basics we needed for our trip - a camp stove, cooking utensils, pots, pans, pillows, a water jug, and a cooler. Not to mention all the other extras you can rent to make your trip worry free. The back of the van had lighting, a fan, a power converter for charging phones or other small electronics, and plenty of storage space for personal items. The seats in front were super comfy for long drives. It handled driving through steep mountain passes like a champ. You can tell that these guys love what they do because everything in the van was so well thought out. I would absolutely rent a Kuku camper again. I loved it so much it was hard to give the keys back at the end of our rental! read more

KuKu Camper vans are the way to go when you want to travel around Colorado and sight-see. We did 9 days traveling all over the western half of the state and had a great time in the van. We were able to take it everywhere we wanted to go (except off-roading, which we didn't want to do anyway and they recommend not to do), high altitude drives in Rocky Mountain National Park, and on gravel roads to find dispersed camping. Except for not having a toilet or shower like an RV, everything else is provided. Love the great amount of lighting inside the van and lots of storage space. The extra power charger came in super handy, the stove worked perfectly and we didn't even need the extra can of propane they gave us. We were given the Bob Marley van that says "Don't Worry, Be Sexy!" on the outside and boy, was that a conversation starter! Strangers asking us what that meant, why we wrote that on our van, etc. We had to tell everyone it was a rental. They seemed disappointed. :) A nice part of the trip was the pickup/dropoff service from the airport. Just don't fly in too early before the rental place opens for business because they won't be able to pick you up that early. The gentlemen working on the days we picked up and dropped off were super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and gave the best service we've ever had in renting a vehicle, and we've rented LOTS of vehicles over the years! The check-in/check-out process went smoothly, everything was explained to us, they showed us how to work all the stuff in the van, answered the myriad questions we had, and even kindly took our suggestion that they include a second hanging net holder on the other interior side of the van, so two people can put their small items on each side of the bed. The van was quiet at night, fun to drive, easy to maneuver, everything worked in it all the time, we had no mishaps whatsoever. A good tip they give you before you leave is to keep the doors and windows closed if you're building a campfire near the van - they don't want the smell of smoke to permeate the van. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE SCAM ARTISTS: I rented a van for 5 days but upon return they charged my card for six days. About a $300 difference. Only when I pointed it out did they reluctantly offer a refund. Plus beware hidden fees. Cheapskates charged me $10/day to leave my car. No one told me this. I wouldn't have left my car if I'd known. Yes, only $50, not as much as the other scam, but it's an indication of how these guys do business. I would NEVER NEVER NEVER ever rent or do business with these Yay-hoos again. Rented the C-lux Mercedes for our family vacation, and it was perfect in every way. We have 3 kids; ages 3 to 13 and it was super comfortable traveling and simple. We took a 10 day trip in August from Denver up to Montana and back hitting National Parks and stops along the way. Camped in National Forests most often. The van was outfitted with everything we needed to make simple meals and keep the trip affordable. Fridge kept the food and couple beers cold, van had plenty of storage for gear and food. Van was super easy to drive and park; better than my truck, and had great fuel economy. The additional item rental options are great; we added sleeping bags and chairs as we flew in and Ubered from DEN. The customer service team was fanatic, informative, and flexible; great people to work with; they want to ensure you have a great family experience and recommendations from them were spot on! Van was affordable for unlimited miles; added windshield and tire protection which gave peace of mind; especially in WY with road resurfacing with stone and tar. Would recommend KuKu 100%.
