Love this place! One of my go tos when I want something healthy. I love rotating through the salads. This time I went with the pesto salad

Tried this spot the other day for the first time! So glad we did. The inside is very clean and spacious with plenty of tables. They also have a little area with couches and chairs. The menu has enough variety of savory and sweet for everyone. I decided to do the strawberry waffles. They came out within a good 15 minutes of ordering. You get 4 crispy, delicious waffles which come with real syrup. I love that they're GF as well! My coffee was excellent and my dad liked his latte (he's very picky with them). The fresh pressed juice is yummy too, they are $10 but the bottle is a good size. I will be back in the future to try everything else on the menu.

Very cute and modern on the inside. The woman taking our order was very nice. Our order came out quickly. I got an iced strawberry matcha (pictured) which was as delicious as it was pretty. My friend who frequents this place often says the earl grey cookie is the best vegan cookie she's ever had. My husband got a fresh pressed dragonfruit lemonade for $9 which I felt was pricey.

We came here on Mother's Day around 1 pm to pick up some food for take out. Unfortunately they were sold out of many items on the menu. That made sense though since it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was packed. What I was frustrated about was how rude the cashier was to us. She wanted us to leave (it felt like) and any time we would ask a question she gave us so much attitude. I asked what the fake bacon was made of in the vegan blt sandwich I ordered...she proceed to flip through a binder fast and said she didn't know the answer to my question. She finally asked another sales representative who was polite and gave us an answer that was reasonable. I know it can be stressful when the kitchen is busy and most items are sold out, but you still need to treat your customers with respect! The sandwich itself had a lot of potential but was unfortunately dry. I wouldn't order it again and prefer Clover's vegan BLT sandwich way more!

Nu Kitchen is a small chainlet of restaurants in Worcester, Somerville and now Newburyport, and you would compare it to veggie forward casual cafes like Life Alive which has taken over Boston. I wanted to like this place because I'm a huge fan of grain bowls but today it fell flat. We came on a beautiful Saturday around noon so pretty busy, I ordered the banh mi tofu bowl on the touch screen pad in the store, then grabbed a sticky wooden stick with a number and waited for quite a while at an unwashed table. (Lots of bored teen staff loitering around but seemed like they were all new/training?). The food was pretty good but heavy on pickled red onions and cucumbers, and if there was any tofu I couldn't find it. Hoping to return on a day when the place gets cleaned up and will try one of the other bowls.

This place is awesome! Came to Newburyport on Memorial Day for a day trip up from Boston and decided to check out this spot for brunch. Plenty of seating that we didn't expect since the back of the place expands pretty far! The decor is also super inviting, light, and aesthetic. We were really impressed by the ordering system since you can order up by the counter or put in an order with a screen yourself. We went to the self order screen and there were SO many options to customize your order (whether it's the milk in your coffee, or subbing out ANY ingredient from an item, or selecting vegan meat or milk options) I ordered an americano and the honey goat cheese and avocado breakfast sandwich: Iced Americano - 4/5 - I was happily surprised by how big their "small" size is and thought the coffee was just slightly acidic but overall pretty good! Honey goat cheese and avocado sandwich - 5/5 - this was SO yummy! When ordering, I could pick what bread and the ciabatta I picked was super fluffy and tasty. I subbed in Parmesan since I wanted a more stringy cheese and it was just that! The honey goat cheese was so tasty and not overpoweringly sweet, and the egg in the sandwich was perfect for breakfast! I wish I could have more Also, once we sat down we noticed that you can easily grab tap water and the cups that are provided are so cute (see pic)! The servers were also really friendly and the food is all very light, fresh, and tasty!! Highly recommend!!

Oh my goodness! This place has DELICIOUS coffees and treats. They have gluten free options which is always so amazing as an option whenever possible. The atmosphere was adorable and the service was delightful. I'd highly recommend this place.

Veggie Burger, I just can't really do the impossible burger but I do like this veggie burger

Mandarava is one of my absolute favorites in Massachusetts for upscale, excellent pure cooking made from fresh, local ingredients, nothing processed. At least one of the couples we dined with were not vegan and said "If Mary cooked for me every night, I would be vegan". It's that good! This is what we got: - Grape leaves: Delicious stuffed grape leave paired with heart of palm and blood orange. Perfect way to start a delicious dinner. - Vegetable creme soup: I think that was one of the best soups I had in a while. It was super flavorful and light. The crispy brussel sprouts on the top provided some crispiness to the plate. - Chickpea tofu: The combination of the chickpea tofu with the delicata squash was just delightful. I wouldn't even know how to improve the plate if I was asked to... - Pot pie: Perfect bite for a winter. It makes you warm up immediately. The flavors were on point. You only need to be patient with this one, since it takes a while until it cools down and you can really enjoy it as it deserves. - Sweets: The description of this plate was only "cherry, blueberry, strawberry, pear" so we didn't really know what to expect. Well, we were served with a delicious piece of cake. Every bite made you come back for more. If I was asked about something to improve, my only recommendation would be to make sure the waitress describes the plate when served. At least the time we were there, that was not the case. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We both ordered the Brazilian cheese bread sandwich, not because of the GF, but because we loved the little cheese bread balls that we had while visiting friends in Brazil. I ordered with the hash browns, which turned out to be REAL potato made here, not a Mc-patty pulled from the freezer. Great seasoning and perfectly cooked. The sandwich had a little spinach, well cooked egg (not too runny, but maybe a hint more than needed), and smoky bacon on a split cheese bread "roll." It was super hot when served; I finished almost all of my potato before I could eat it - no complaints on temperature. The flavor was really good - and unique. My only concerns were that the bacon was "tough" so that a bite tended to pull out the whole strip. It wasn't bad, but maybe a crispy bacon would bite more cleanly. The other issue, and really the only significant one, was the density of the cheese bread. I expected something similar to the cheese bread balls, which have a texture similar to a good Italian bread (not the squishy supermarket kind). This was almost solid. We've made the cheese bread balls at home, with good success, so I'll try the different shape - maybe for burgers! - and see if it's a challenge. I'll come back to explain if the experiment to make fluffier buns is not successful. Meanwhile, the place filled up and some of the other menu items looked really good. We're very likely to go back for a lunch.

When you walk in, the place is beautiful- sort of modern rustic chic with beautiful string lights. We ordered mussels and wine to start. Mussels were fantastic. Meaty, flavorful and plenty for everyone. The entree is where it fell short for me. I got the shrimp pasta. While the flavor was there, when I cut into the shrimp they still looked pretty translucent to me. After eating one and cutting up a few others, I felt that they were undercooked. The waitress said they wouldn't cook them more but she could bring the plate back and ask if they were cooked through. My plate came back and I was told they were cook so I sat there pushing soft, nasty shrimp around my plate while just eating spaghetti. My boyfriend asked for a medium burger and it was definitely rare to medium rare. When this happens, generally you offer to bring out new protein cooked again or ask if the guest wants something else but I was just left to feel like I was nuts. Whatever, into dessert. Now for dessert, I thought we'd try the cookies and ice cream. cookies were completely raw ( not just soft) and also not hot and the ice cream on the plate looked like it was pre scooped and refrozen. While I loved the concept of this place. Relaxing getaway where you can just do it all onsite, I honestly would spare yourselves the experience of the restaurant or order fish and chips or fried chicken) and just dine in Newburyport.
