Well so sorry to have to put a bad review up here. After searching for soneone to cut my sons hair and seeing all the great reviews here I was excited. Sadly when I called this guy and said I wanted to book an appointment for my son, he asked who referred me, when I explained that no one referred me and I just saw the place driving by, he started acting strange on the phone. Then he said he didn't start working until 12 pm I said that was fine and in fact anytime after 1pm would be great. He said he would look at his schedule and call me back. Never heard a word from him since. He acted like he didnt want any new business at all. So no problem im sure there are plenty of people who do need business. And im really happy that it didn't work out with him because we eneded up finding a wonderful barber that day who took his time withy son and gave him a great cut and who was present, ready and happy to have a new customer. Those are the ppl we wanna roll with! I will post a positive review about our new barber for every one so keep an eye out. read more

I've never been to a shop that locks the door behind you and it's just you and your barber. It's an awesome experience having complete attention to getting you the best haircut. In short, Chick, is not only the best barber I have ever encounter but he is also an amazingly kind human being. The following is a true story. A day before my third and last job interview I decided to go and get a haircut at my usual place in Rancho (NEXT TO THE TRAIN STATION), well, it seems my barber was more interested in talking to his buddies about what they will be having for lunch and his upcoming wedding than my haircut, after forty minutes, I looked like a I had gotten a haircut in a Tijuana barber shop at 5am with a drunk barber, yes that bad, I was as boxed as you can imagine. After making myself heard and paying for a horrible haircut , even do the barber insisted it was on the house, I Immediately searched for help on Yelp and I found NU Look Barbers, got in my car, raced there, to my surprise, it looked closed, I tried opening the door and then I see Chick, he comes out and informs me that he only cuts hair by appointment......at this point, I literally begged for an exception to which he at first said nope, sorry..... but after looking at my ass of haircut I assume he felt so bad for me that he agreed to cut my hair after he was done with a client. Once in the chair Chick is like an artist, takes his time and with all the confidence in the world he proceeded to cut my hair......and after 42 years, best haircut I ever gotten, no joke. Extreme attention to detail and precision, I got to tell you if you care about your haircut and looking sharp, no one, no one is better than Chick. Walked into Nu look and received just that. Not only did I receive an amazing cut, but excellent service to follow. From the time I walked into the shop I knew that this was not your average shop. The environmental feel was immediately relaxing, and almost had a "make yourself at home" kind of vibe. Right away I was greeted by Chick, who treated me as if I was family and not just another client. Having been one to experience multiple different types of barber experiences, it was refreshing to be able to walk in the shop and immediately sit in the chair. I'm sure everyone who has ever had a cut has had the 30 minute to hour long wait times which I can assure are non existent here. Right away I can tell that Chick was very good at what he does because he took his time to analyze my head as if he was an architect building a house from the ground up. It is crazy to see the transformation of what I walked in there looking like with how I left out.
