My husband and I were in search of a late night treat and decided to try out this fro yo spot. This was our first time trying Nu Yo Yogurt and we were nothing short if impressed. The variety of flavors and toppings were extensive and inclusive of many different dietary restrictions. We were delighted to see that they also sold prepackaged dog pup fro yo that we were able to purchase to bring home for our dog to enjoy. There was both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking, clean ambiance, and customer service was great. It was a bit inconvenient that we were not able to access sample cups to try the different flavors on our own and had to ask for the employee to bring us some cups and then had to serve the samples for us. The flavors actually have flavor that with your eyes closed you'd be able to correctly guess. (I've been to many other yogurt shops where the vanilla vs. chocolate you'd be hard pressed to taste any difference). The topping bar has many, many treats. Besides the big selection of chocolate candy stuff there are at least a dozen different fresh fruits. Frequent customers can enroll in the program to get a free cup after a history of purchases. I think it's a free cup after 10 purchases. Don't quote me on that. Busy on warm week evenings. First time in this location! The style of this location is a serve yourself pay by the ounce type with several flavors of yogurt and a considerable amount of options for toppings. I was impressed by the staff, they were cheerful and helpful. The space was clean and had that "new car smell" if you know what I mean! What was very impressive was the fruit options which had some beautiful looking fresh fruit- unfortunately I had chosen chocolate and cookies and cream along with some nuts and chocolate chips, so by the time I got to the fruit I was bummed out because it would have clashed- so...I will have to come in and try a flavor that matches better with the fruit. I think it is a solid four stars compared to yogurt options around the area. First the yogurt itself was good, but a bit grainy which is probably due to the need to "dial it in". The selection of toppings was good and contained the standards, but there are other competitors that have more of a selection which depending on what you want may make a difference. They have so many yummy flavors to choose from, and lots of various nonfat, sugar free, lactose free, dairy free type flavors. I tried out a trio of flavors including chocolate, tart, and peanut butter. All of the flavors were so good! The chocolate was not overly sweet, the tart not overly sour, and the PB was SO good! Wish i had gotten more of it. They also had a ton of fun toppings to chose from. I opted for my usual strawberries and mochi which did not disappoint. We wanted to get some yogurt and this llace is close to where we live. There were quite a lot of flavors and toppings. Overall the taste of the flavors were not great. Wish we were able to taste them. Because of this we put 2-3 different flavors in our bowl so we could atleast get one that tasted good. I would suggest staying away from any that are not fruit flavored or vanilla/chocolate. The rest of them did not taste good. The price of yogurt is pretty high but it all depends on the amount of toppings you get since it is done by the weight. I would come back just to see what else they come up with. But i would like it if they had little sample containers like other yogurt placed do but with Covid they might not be able to do it. read more
